No he's not.

Here's the corporate contaminates.

Do what you want, but be aware that if you do use it, you're in the same league as them. Like it or not.

I get around imperfections by doubling my planned crop and doing my homework.

If you are talking microscopic trace amounts/residues, literally, then you better be worried about driving behind a vehicle and inhaling the microscopic carbon monoxide fumes even more than fearing this Flint.

Lol. You have a point.

BTW, concentrates have the most contaminates. Up to 75% of them failed.

I know it's not a vascular thing, but the residue just doesn't work for me. Last year there were crippling recalls for every large producer in Canada, for what seemed like trivial contaminates. None means none to me.

I travel a lot and can, and do, eat on the street. I know that I've probably eaten some delicious crap on the beach in Ecuador that might dwarf a bit of spray on a bud. But there's something about inhaling shit that just doesn't seem right. I think it's asking for trouble.

I'm in Honduras at the moment and am smoking what the locals call "Trash". They think I'm nuts to smoke that over the Jam import. But let me tell you, the trash is the closest I've had to a mystical smoke I've ever had. Not stoney but super high and clear as fuck. They don't spend a penny on Trash grows. Drop seeds, step on them, then harvest. And ya.. I've a ton of seeds for home. :) (yup. Jam seeds too)

My weed clients are more mature people closer to my age. Some are life long friends. So I feel I have a responsibility there.

The harmony of herb can be dull to people that only enjoy the excitment of disharmony. Some is genetics, honestly how nature grows strives for equilibrium. Too much focus on effort for more of this or less of that, the big picture gets distorted.

It sounds like the "trash" smoke you are describing is some excellent landrace sativa from Central America...
I wish I had seeds from my visits to Jamaica in '72 and '73...
glad you're bringing good seeds home with you!

What do you mean by "Jam"?

Jamaican. There are two phenos. One smells like someone was picking their ass when they bagged it, the other like the hash I used to smoke when I was a kid. Both have the same great fucked up stone, but you come down in 90 minutes to about half way and coast a little while. I'm a lightweight so I like it too.

Hey buddy, usually yes, the caterpillars and worms are the problem. But this year I have not had to deal with them that much using bt as a guard.

I am having a new problem this year, very similar to the cats. I am getting these tiny little jumping spiders build these little web nests inside the buds. They are super fast and you can barely catch them. I have caught and squished a few so far. For one the little cotton ball type nests they build are inside the bud which disturbs it obviously and retains moisture in the flower. Then you have the spiders victim carcass that rots and likely gives birth to fungus. I know its weirs and it is a new game changer for me, I don't usually have problems with these spiders, its always the caterpillars and borers causing the outbreaks like you said.

I have always welcomed the jumping spiders and the crab spiders. The first year I had a plant without a crab or jumping spider living in it was the first year I had caterpillars. The caterpillars do much more damage to my plants then the spider webs do. Plus the crab spiders always greet me with there hands up like "what r u doin by my plant?

Anyone ever try using a birdfeeder and/or birdseed as a way to attract birds to eat the caterpillars?

Someone on here mentioned the idea to me and I'm gonna give it a go this year.

It works. the little birds eat the caterpillars and larger birds eat grasshoppers...

It's worth the price of a good feeder and a large sack of birdseed...

I would worry about the bird droppings all over the plants. They would add up quickly and cause mold and fungus issues.

You really think so?

I mean, how often do birds shit? Do they shit while they eat or just while they're flying around?

I thought they liked to shit on shiny things (like cars).

They do like cars. LOL!

Birds crap a lot. The areas where I hand my feeders have lots of droppings. Bird crap and insect crap (honey dew) introduce molds and fungus. Planting under or around trees is the main way honey dew falls on lower plants. The insects on the plant add some but it is the 1000s of insects in the trees that bombard the lower plants with honey dew.

When you see fan leaves with droppings cut them off. You can carry a spray bottle and rinse areas if you can visit the plants. It is best to limit visits though.

I am in the northeast and IT IS TIME! If you already started then you are ahead of schedule and if you want to get clones or sexed seedlings in the ground by June 1st you need to be getting started. Time slips away fast.

I have been doing some cloning for the outdoor already. It takes time to get enough clones around for the outdoor season. If you are using seedlings then you need to start them now so you can have them sexed before you put them out.

You can always do a "strike in the patch" seed grow and remove the males or use female seeds. Then you just need to plant them anytime from May 1st to June 15 directly in the soil at the patch. Excellent results can be obtained doing this.

I use a chicken wire fence around each clone to keep the critters off during the early stages of tender. tasty growth and to protect the trunk when big. The plants can outgrow munching when they are 3 feet tall and get going. They can never survive a trunk ringing. Some people have good luck without using fences. I hate relying on luck because mine sucks.

My goal is for my outdoor harvest to make me $30-50,000. I need 15 to 20 pounds to make this happen. Pulling it off without the rippers, critters, LEO, snitches and mother nature fucking things up will be difficult. But it can be done.

Just a word for the Kentuckians stopping by... Do NOT plant clones here in KY any earlier than June 1st. If you plant before the first week in June you better be prepared for dealing with revegging plants all summer long and some funky ass finishers...

On a nother note, I have been planting around the end of March for a long time now. Yes they will start to flower, but they won't get into it too far... And by this I am talking about from a seedling to maybe a week old in March, "NOT a mature plant!".

What always happens for me is they will get about 45 days in and start flowering around beginning of May, but they won't go long.. They will quickly revert back to veg and when they do, you will have one hell of a bush plant! This is called Monster Cropping, as I'm sure most if you already know this.

Right now, in this moment as I sit upon my porcelain goddess, laying in front of me is a whole bottle of Kentucky Roadkill Skunk seeds, 3 packs of Nature Farms Skunk #18 seeds and 2 packs of Nature Farms Hindu Paki Kush x Skunk #18... You can see what I am bringing back this year. Although the Roadkill Skunk (the KY version) is pretty abundant, I am growing it mainly for the seeds. I plan on releasing some of the My Roadkill beans this Winter. Maybe even some before then. Keep an eye open for updates if your interested!

Other than that I have tons of other seeds that I will be popping as well. Big yields of funky fat flowers in our future!

I should have been more specific about the genetics I will be running this year. To start off obviously I am bringing the true skunk back to the game heavily. It is grown here heavily anyway, but when I add it to my own regiment then that's twice the amount being produced around here.

Also I'm bringing back lots of the Afghani and (Middle Eastern) genetics in general, lots of classic landraces as well along with haze crosses.

Hell I might even try some super autos this year too. Never really fooled with autos. Grew a couple of freebies wayyyy back in the day, but other than that nope.

I'm still a little scatter brained on the whole thing though... I will have a whole list and the line up for the 2018 guerilla kick off within no time. But again, this years focus is on huge, HUGE bushes and trees, that yield heavy fruits, strive well outdoors, minimum watering, minimum maintenance...

I used to kill it back in the day, these commercial growers around here would tell me how they average around 2 to 6 ounces per plant, in patches of course, old school hillbillies are gonna use old school methods. They piss there pants when I show them how to pull a lb and a half per plant, single plants, with less risks taken, and more weight and no supplemental watering.

I have to document my grow on here better this year... As soon as I start prepping grounds I will start throwing up photos. Which will be soon.
