A few posts up, Old Yeller posted a picture of a SUNHUT with a silver linging. I recently bought a SUNHUT with a silver lining and the store manager swore that this was a new design and has no off-gassing issues. Can anyone confirm or deny whether this is true? Are the silver lined SUNHUTS free of issues??? Thanks for the help.

build it yourself and save a lot of money
instead of using plastic use some inexpensive fiber wood board
its heavy but if you dont have to move it often its the way to go
also to be sure of no light leaks

I might as well post a follow-up....

I did purchase the newer version of the SUNHUT, called the "SUNHUT Silver." The newer version is has a silver lining, however, they still use a white PVC floor covering in the tent. Without thinking, I installed the white floor covering and this has proved detrimental to my plants. 10 seedlings and 3 rooted clones are showing the signs of toxic off-gassing. Last night I removed the white PVC floor covering due to some recommendations from members on this board.

My next question....now that the white PVC is out of the tent, will the plants grow through their issues? Should I get all the plants out of the tent even though the PVC is out?

Thanks for the help,
Ram

ramct i would contact the dealer.. i know of 2 sunhut silvers, one is the XL and one XXL that have been in use for around 6 months and 100% healthy but both tents came with the silver floor. So i do know that they manufacture and distribute the sunhut's with the silver floor inserts.. and i would imagine with that white floor out that your plants should recover. (make sure you have god airlow to remove an toxic fumes that for some reason could stil be inside) good luck and let us know how you make out

Whats up people. Im new here, and looking for some advice on tents. I have decided to go with a HomeBox, and was wondering the best place to purchase one. I have scoured this thread for this very reason, and the options seem almost overwhelming. The prices seem to vary a lot from site to site, which is disconcerting. I am looking for a balance between the best price and the most reliable website (shipping to the east coast US if that matters.) If someone can help me out I would really appreciate it. -Peace

4hydroponics.com would be my choice, especially on the east coast.

http://cheaphydroponics.com/

I just checked and the above site is selling their Homebox L's (the original size) for $170 US.
4Hydroponics wants $209 US for the same thing. Just a heads up...

One thing with 4hyrdo is that over a certain dollar amount everything is free shipping , which if you plan on purchasing nutes , additional poly plastic and other heavy items = HUGE SAVINGS.

Also - with 4hydro they shred all records of every sale , especially if you send money order.

I've done it a couple of times and never been disappointed.

Also if you request DISCREET packaging it will appear with nothing but a name on the box.

I recommend 4hyroponics through and through , it seems very family over there. The guy even gave me a price matching discount around christmas a year or two ago as well via email.

Great folks over there

Hello all, I am currently growing in my closet with a 400 and would like to get a xxl tent and add a 1000 hps. I have a cool tube for the 400 So I would like to get another digital 1000 along with a air cool hood. Can a outlet or two handle 1400 watts plus the fans and hydro systems? < Should I worry electricity? Dont want the apartment building electricity going out. What size fan or fans would be good for 1400 watts in a xxl homebox. Thank you in advance

Even though I'm a novice, I just finished installing my DR150 and it passed all smoke tests with flying colors and no light leaks at all.
