I've never uncovered anything concrete on its genetics. Descriptions say it may be as much as 75% indica?

I've enjoyed growing it because I really like to grow plants with vigor that show you how much they want to grow.

Purple Satellite did that for me. The young plants just showed you how much they wanted to grow!

Yup, my Erdpurt x PS cross looked very much like that last summer. Very robust and vigorous. I want to run pure PS again this summer outdoors and see if I can get a female or two this time. I will start several indoors early and give them a long veg and some training to see if I can tame them and get the sexing out of the way. They can get huge and stretch quite a bit so control will be my goal.

I think I read that the early indica in Hawaii was likely Afghani, so I bet that's the indica component. But who knows.

I’m Super excited, all but 2 of the GMS seeds I’m germinating for this years outdoor run have sprouted and are now in cups growing. 2 pineapple banana bud and 1 mountain gold popped in just under 24 hours and are already above ground at around 48 hours.
Just waiting on 1 Zacatecas and 1 Purple Satellite to pop and it’ll be a 100% success rate. Hopefully all will be above soil and rocking by this weekend. Hoping to get them sexed and cloned for a few friends to share this year though I feel I’m a little behind schedule.

Squatty I am tickled that you enjoyed them as you do, The Oaxacan in the cross has always cranked vigor into he crosses. Its also amazing how nuch he leaves thin out as they get larger the slightly wider leaves is from the Nepali Sativa being adapted so far North the leaves have adapted to capture more light which is a testament to the adaptability of Cannabis and a cool morphism for a Sativa.

Getting a good veg on is very beneficial for for Purple Satellite though I have seen some monsters grow with less veg
time by other skilled growers.

Well my garden spot is in a clearing in the woods, so it doesn't get as much direct sunlight as I would like. I think that encourages stretching...so my plan will be to keep them in small pots for as long as I can, and let them get bushy before setting them out.

Hey Cactus!
Sounds like your off to a great start there Depending on your lights you should be in good shape, In Spring when it is cold I run one 1Kwatt Metal Halide twenty for seven it helps heat my outer room by 10 degrees plus keeps the grow room toasty, and the plants just love the warmth and the blue light. Keeps them short tight and the show sex usually in 4 to six weeks from germination.
That being said I prefer LED but its just not warm enough in my grow for LED in Spring.
Yes so please keep us posted?
I even love baby pictures! HAHA

Appreciate the tips!
I’ll have them under a bank of LED lights until spring time. So far everything has stayed super short with tight nodes under these lights.
Temps aren’t a problem here either. They’re inside at around 74°.
As soon as all of them break surface and show their faces I’ll post some pics.

You are most welcome!
Sound like you have it under control.
That would be awesome!

I will post my progress of the GMG. I harvested 1 of my 2 PBB ( 10 weeks) I am trying to be patient before commenting on what I am finding. So far this one has a floral smell with the smallest hint of sweet. Very pleasant. Proper cure started yesterday. PBB #2 looks like it will take a minimum 11 weeks, but I will more than likely take her to 12. I'll post a pic of PBB #2 when I take her down.

Zacatecas Tribute...very nice looking plants. :) I will up pot soon as I don't want her to be too small and I just put her in flower this week.

Happy looking plant Tex!
They don't stretch to terribly much under lights from my experience so yes more veg and up potting
is perfect!

As asked VM, here’s the babies. About a week or so old. 2 of each, starting front to back:
Purple Satellite, Zacatecas Tribute, ACE Zamaldelica x Ethiopia, Mountain Gold, & Pineapple Banana Bud.

All but 1 purple sat and 1 zac tribute sprouted within 24 hours and had heads above soil after another 24 hours. The Purple Sat and ZT that were slower sprouted around 72 hours from start. All came up healthy and happy.

A 50/50 M/F ratio would be ideal so I can skeet some lovely Oaxacan X pollen around, but we’ll see how that goes. Maybe I’ll strike out and get all females eh? 😉 oh the horror that’d be.

I’m really looking forward to growing these alongside all the stuff from ACE I’ll have outdoors this year. Especially that Zacatecas Tribute, really hoping it feels like the BSHW I remember.

Happy growing everyone!

sorry if that photo looks like smeared dog turd, it looks good on my phone but crushed resolution once uploaded here.

Cool! I have Zam x Ethiopia in the fridge too, very curious to see how that one comes out. Along with all the others of course! :)

Where is supposed to be the Zacatecas from the Zacatecas Tribute strain? Was it named like that just because of the Big Sour Holy Weed myth?

I grew one last year that had an absolutely beautiful structure and super unique leaf shape, but it turned out male and then my dog decided to cull him. Certain plants really catch her interest. That one unfortunately before I could get some pollen.
really hoping for some females this year after reasoning others experience with them.
