Looking like probably biggest GT run so far... only Zam got this much Screen before and it turned into a wild mess.... speaking of which I found aphids on one leaf in the hedge. Giving me chills just thinking about how bad this could turn... inspected all the likely hidey holes on other plants in that box and found no others but I'm sure they're there.. lurking.

Tomorrow I spray somewhat forcibly with cool clean water to knock anything down I can... wouldn't even except my humidity is at about 20% and with too much heat this run I already have foxtailed mould resistant buds anyway.

Then I'll probably blast the SCROG perimeter (walls and entry points NOT my buds) and undercarriage with permethrin before giving it a nice foliar cleansing too. Thinking about defoliation a bit but I usually see decreases in yield if I strip leaves before most of the bud growth is finished. I'll probably yank some larger fans from the tall leads to open up lowers and leave it at that. I'm also starting a continuous lollipop hunt... there are many straggly leads developing from at or just under screen level and those are all getting clipped unless they are bigger than my thumb and can reach light.

Ahhhh man. Fried AF looking at pics and I love how the angle just above canopy makes my SCROG resemble some big field or larger room full of tops than just a little 42 inch square

Ya man it's purt crazy the difference between Ace sativa organically grown and local commercial herbs. There's a few old hippys and draft dodgers up here from way back that used to grow Columbian and I'm sure I smelled something VERY jungle sativa at a New Years party once but you can't buy that stuff and them dudes only share with.... them dudes. Most are too old now anyway.. point was there has been the odd toke of high flying wild shit around but not enough to get acquainted with ya know?

I once got a gram from a guy in Dawson that had been growing since the 70's.. that shit made me see Donald Duck in a stain on some plywood. I always thought since then that there was so much we were all missing from cannabis and I never quit saying "this ain't how it should be! It should be tasting like candy and making us trip balls!" Lol I also thought it was easy to grow that well!

Well now I know that first crazy high wasn't just me being a "noob" to weed and that it's actually really patient work to grow top notch cannabis; worth it though.

I get terrible anxiety and depression so sometimes herbs fly me up above all the bullshit happening to my body and help me reconnect to reality and safety. GT is my salve and I Love it.

Hey Tang (and others) I gotta say it's pretty neat chatting with you and all t'others on the mag here. My friends and family support me but they're all pretty tired of listening to me go on and on about weed and I've been reading and learning here at icmag for a few years so it's a bit surreal to all of a sudden feel kinda part of the community I've been watching enviously for a while now.
Youse guys are kewl.:huggg:

I had one this season too. Really Mango...keep em comin bro looking good. I have GT and Zam finishing up. cant wait :tiphat:

Cool I got mostly apple and apricot/pear in mine, frostier than most of my indoor stuff! Hope your Harvey goes well, always so exciting and hard to time juuuust right.... if you haven't tried either yet your in for a treat!
Zam definitely especially really really needs a cure. Trust me.
Actually so does GT but I sold Zam trippy factor short until I tried some I had forgotten for a couple extra months.. waaayyyy more fun.

Lovely scrog, exactly as it should be ;)
Great job YK!

Cheers

I'm thinking 9 plants next time. Makes a more even spread that way and I can flip little sooner thus preventing runaway leads gaining too much time ahead of their counterparts and forcing a trim.
I like the tall leads growing up as colas but some still have painfully long internodes compared to others. If I can homogenize the height and node space just a bit more it will make a big difference in managing a full, even canopy with fewer holes and more consistent quality.
Truth is I'm pretty happy with it already I just have an OCD (lol I call it CDO... alphabetical order dontcha know) tendency towards wanting to make things perfect whenever I can.

In my own experience, Yukon, while I always wanted to let the colas grow into colas, because they look cool, every SCROG I've ever done has produced far better and denser harvests when I homogenize. It's all about never letting any particular growth tip ever think it's going to be the "top." So whenever I see a dominant branch like that, I will make it a point to pull it down further beneath the screen than I normally would. It just helps in the end, big time.

Looking awesome, still. :tiphat:

Agreed. One of the reasons I'm leaning towards more plants evenly spaced. I can spend less time training and predicting and just flip sooner... key here is going to be training them flat with stakes then letting them finish most of their stretch before lollipopping and putting screen in at HIGHER level so it supports some 8-12 inch tops evenly spaced out.

I would just put screen higher and train in thru all of stretch but then I can't reach back of the box to trim everything below screen. I thought of one plant like you and DWD have done but I want my soil box FULL of roots or I might as well not have it.... probably going to take a few more stabs at it before I get nailed down like the pros but I'm game to keep learning.

If I can ever afford a larger grow I'm thinking smaller (36 inches) shallower beds with one big plant each. I'll need automatic watering but the lesser soil volume will allow better manipulation of Nutrients at various growth stages as well as being faster to colonize with mycorrhizae and other beneficial organisms.

Need to go check garden soon... yesterday some of the hedge colas had collapsed under their own weight. I'm also paying for too hot a fertilizer program with some nanners in last pushs of pistils. Such beautiful little foxtaily sative buds swelling with resins and now I see firkin little bitty wannabe seeds trying to form. F*ck!. Oh well c'est la vie. Still going to be great smoke. I've got some beautiful fat buds forming I'll get pics when I go.

SCROG will get its turn on the catwalk too cause I'm there and it will have grown some since last pic..

Hey there lads how do I rotate this pic please?
This branch is what I've been expecting for yield from GT but not quite getting there before... just need to dial nutes back a touch next run and I hope for similar plentitude sans ladyboy
