Filling up okay only a few holes. I wayyy overestimated stretch with this. I believe it's due to the 10 hour dark period. Should still work in my favour considering I didn't get evenly organized branching everywhere resulting in a few "thick" spots that would have shaded others if allowed the runaway stretch I usually see flipping from a 6 hour or less dark time.

Chant down thanks to alla dem wat free the holy herb from Babylon mon! Many thanks to the righteous who choose Zion.. Jah love to me bruddas Jah love to High holy herbs Jah love Canada and alla dem who Bring her from Babylons grip!

I'm feeling a little spiritually free today and Bob Marley put me in a Rastafarian kinda mood. (My ignorance of actual Rastafarianism may be evident but I hope is not offensive to any who practice)

RECREATIONAL CANNABIS IS LEGAL IN CANADA 🇨🇦!!!!!

YAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!

I have actually been advocating this since I was twelve. To any who would listen I presented real science and factual counterpoints to their intolerant and BRAINWASHED ideas of the "terrible" danger of marijuana.

I and many others have been derided and ridiculed for our conviction and today the choice we all made last elections cycle was put into action thus redeeming and vindicating all of our collective struggles to free our plant from the clutches of unjust laws and the Greed that pervades all societies.

REJOICE. REASON CAN WIN.

Bunch of depression shit goin on. Couldn't get PotSil for ph up and pretty sure my res drifted more acidic than the 6 I had it at.. long story short : TARFU. I'm better now getting ph up tomorrow and thinning and thoroughly pesticide (veg only, permethrin then wash off) spraying in my now F*CKED up veg and clone cabinets. GT hedge is not happy. Yellowing a couple weeks earlier than I hoped... I'm only at 9 or 10 weeks and this one is best at about 13.5 weeks based on last good run.
Bright side: it's looking like good dope and a fair bit of it even if I always feel on the light side of where I should be..

(Edit: PH didn't drift down but up and only to 7.3 so not as bad as I thought. I also notice more yellow on leaves closer to more light. Mayhap it could be uneven lighting distribution causing imbalances in plant metabolism perhaps contributing to yellow out...flower production is still ok so I'm not freaking out too much)

I'll get pics of SCROG tomorrow... it's stretching more as expected now, although I did unweave some tops that were getting shaded. The leads have been growing at angles so I keep supercropping them and standing them straight up. I think if I can manage this thing I might get the sweet SCROG of GT I've been after since I built my first soil box 18 months ago.

Here we go. All my earlier neurosis over how much it will stretch and wether it'll be full enough was no more than jitters and a minor lack of experience at this scale... all is reasonably well with this box:dance013:

Right. On. The. Money. I totally feel less in charge all the time as I learn what they're trying to tell me. Ironically it saves time! Instead of being worried and doing extraneous shit I just look at em every few days and give em what they're cool with taking (lol sometimes I'm a little pushy still I guess...poor plants) biggest deal is usually keeping pests off and that's just cause I've been lazy about controlling my environment to that last couple degrees of detail.

If I can get them through first 6 weeks flower happy then usually it's coasting from there. The better I do pushing them through veg/root in, preflower and early flower the better off I am when I coast.

Soooo there's an element of nerve wracking and waiting and feeding and feeding a little or lot more and waiting until it becomes obvious that once again Dubi has provided us something that really won't let you down too often.

This GT F1 is getting close to finished. Taking 2+ weeks longer than the newer version GT fem that was next to it. General appearance and structure is very similar to the fem version. Very Malawi influenced it seems like. Aroma is similar too.

The soil and conditions here are both good and harsh. The sandy clay based soil needs a lot of organic material to be good for doing these plants here and they always seem to run out of gas near the end no matter how much feeding you try to do. So I don't get the biggest possible buds and yields. However I do get very pure flavors and effects. Very little nitrogen and chlorophyl left by the time I harvest.

Notice in the whole plant photo, lots of yellow and gold leaves. Also the second bud photo. But then also notice one branch on the right of the plant that is greener. Just one branch is staying more green That happens a lot for me. I've never been able to figure out why I often get plants that near the end have just one section staying more green and the rest more yellow. I wish I knew. Greener branches also take a little longer to finish. More "healthy" and able to develop more? Probably.

In case you're wondering, next to it is a pure Zamal that is going to go another month probably, maybe more. It may get hit by some bad weather in that time. Hope not, but rainy season is coming. I'm very curious to see what pure Zamal is like. Hopefully I'll find out.

Update. Fed once more with fish hydrolysate and cannabis FPE. Also some Lacto B made with Kefir (over a dozen active strains of Lacto) and some cane sugar. Temp has been on high side (up to 27) but they ain't pissed

Been waiting until top of wormcast layer under mulch gets dry enough to mimic sand before watering... basically means twice a week they get a quick soak akin to a 5 minute downpour.
Will likely give them 3 soaks a week once they start stacking heavily depending on necessity. I like to keep a bit of a wet dry cycle but shorten it so soil has more moisture more often through heaviest flowering phases. After 2nd or halfway through the 3rd flush of pistils I start to lengthen it out again and drop temp a few degrees with every second or third water event. I also begin to walk lighting down so it's at 11 or 11.25 hours per day by finish.

I would like to post in here to try to get yall's opinion on phenos, if anyone has any insight. Much obliged. :tiphat:

I have four 'standard' GT plants from seed. Two of them have already begun showing female preflowers in their vegetative state. They are distinctly different phenotypes. One is a viney, flexible, "trailing" variety that never grows vertically. It only grows at a slant upward, while it's lower growth tips form branches of their own that also never grow vertically. Shape-wise, this one would be perfect for a SCROG setup. When I topped it, it didn't send the lower branches upward, or even form two new tops in its place... it just chose one of the growth tips at that node to become the new "top." It's very interesting to me, and I'm assuming that it is heavily Thai-influenced. Here is that one:

Then the other one is much different. It's tall, it's very branchy, I could easily see this one turning into a christmas tree shape if planted outdoors. It has a distinct green color to it, which is more of an "army green" I guess than what I would describe as the "typical" green color that most cannabis exhibits. When I topped it, it formed two very strong new tops, and took on that sort of candelabra stature. I'm guessing that this is a Malawi-leaner? Here is that one:

I'm more than likely going to choose one of these two to flower out, because I need to make a decision in the next few days, and they are the only ones I know for certain to be females. Do either of these plants look familiar to any of you, and/or do any of you have any insight on what could be expected out of them, based on looks alone? I forgot to make note of which one smelled like what, but I distinctly smelled a strong lemony smell from one of them. It reminded me of a SLH that I grew one time from a feminized seed, from Greenhouse. Very sweet and enticing!

Thank you!

Enjoying the thread guys! Thanks for sharing.

Updating- Thats the P HazeXKaliChina on the left, GT on the right. After the plants were flushed hard, I began watering using RO water with supplements. I topdressed about 10 big handfuls of composted chicken manure on each plant. Been using Earthjuice Bloom, Catalyst and Microblast. Also CalMag. They seem to have recovered and are doing well but suffer the prior damage. Regardless, I am looking forward to a bountiful harvest from these girls.

The aroma of the GT when you sniff a bud without touching is like rotten meat and rotten fruit, just sweet dankness. When gently rubbed I get black licorice, Shoe polish and sweet lemon. Nice.

VaporBud the rotten pheno is very desirable and somewhat rare pheno if I recall correctly Dubi commented on it earlier in this thread.

Hush your second pheno resembles my current one somewhat with Malawi structure and Thai influenced leaves... if it gives an fermented lemon and distinct carrot smell on stem then it's probably same.

Can't figure the short one.... maybe early Malawi pheno? I thought regs were bred with Hmong (Meo) Thai and that one gets big AF.... do regs use New Killer or Old? New Killer is more compact I think...

I believe Thai strains are known for recessive "creeping vine" phenos too so maybe it's that even rarer expression? Lol I'm no help at all!

Oops Ace site says new GT has Hmong Thai and Chiangmai as well as new and old killers sooooo... ask Dubi? I'm even less help than I thought:moon:

Edit: Screw it. I say it's a Thai Chiangmai pheno.

These seeds were probably close to 3 years old. Bought them direct from Ace. Don't know if that means I have old or new offerings though.

If you still have seed pack u can look at packing date on it and email Ace for more info on that seedlot or just wait for Dubi to heal. I think they changed composition of GT in 2015 but I'm not 100% on that.

Lol pretty sure your #2 pheno is going to be frickin gigantic.

Edit: Oops forgot you said your going to start over with a clone to flower... too bad would have been a good wrestling match! Haha!

Hedge update. Despite her leaves rapidly being used up she is swelling nicely. Prolly her last real heavy push of pistils until she sputters a week or so and then stops pistils and pushes resins for another week or so until I pick.. she hits 10 weeks tomorrow. 2 weeks for last push and swell then a week and half for resins takes me right to 13.5 so I guess it only yellowed a little bit early.
