So not having the ac yet.... And bear with me here..... I'm thinking out loud, so...... Being inside the shop that sits at about 76 all the time, I think the 24k will be enough AC that office is the coolest room in the shop.... The Mini Split will be for supplemental cooling just for the room...

You will get heat build up in the shop. I would run the window AC but build it into a closet like room where you can capture that heat and blow it directly out side from that room.

If you were smart you would run 2 window AC units. The second would only run when it is the hottest out and the first would not keep up. Just get a temp controlled outlet that kicks on the second AC when a temp above what the first AC is set to is reached.

Kind of like a 2 stage furnace. So say a 24k main AC and a 10k secondary AC. This way you are not running more AC than you need. It is more efficient to run the AC for a longer run than to have it keep shutting down and having to pump the compressor back up.

Just a thought but if you have the room it is what I would do. Mini splits cost much more than window units.

Dan I'm going to take some shots.... Of the panel box and what needs to happen to get the power worked out. See I also need power for the lights and fans and all...... I'm thinking about the Dx Sound they make custom power distribution boxes, what I'm thinking I will do is run an outlet like a stove outlet into the room and use the power distribution box to run everything... I'll get some pictures so we can get going....

yeah thats a good idea ! then you just have to run a 50 amp 4 wire range recepticle down to where you want to put the panel . thats easy enough :tiphat:

& like i said , 3 phase is no different than the single phase your used to seeing , its just 3 hot legs instead of 2

if her main office already has AC ( i'm guessing furnace & outside AC unit ) & shes adding a mini split to the main part of the grow ...... why would she get heat build up ????

you have to remember , that was a manufacturing facility at one time & whats there now kept them in cool enough conditions to be able to work . shes just adding extra to combat what the extra lights & dehueys heat would add to it .

Damn , sounds like you have the perfect facility. I accidentally bought a 3 phase 4 light controller, couldn't figure out why the timer wouldn't work. Duh I don't have 3phase power. I wish Amazon had better information on the products they sell. Now it sits in a box in my garage.

Yea... I keep the thermostat at 76 in the office with the door closed its normally about 6 to 8 degrees cooler in the office....than the rest of the shop...... The south end with the garage door that's always in the sun, it's abiut 5 degrees warmer than the middle of the shop....i have had thermostats moving them around and the office with the 8 foot ceilings can't be beat.... For this project

Hell of a get there Star. Good things come to those who put themselves in a position to succeed.

With gear like that, I'm sure the PM's are already flying for you and the donor. I'll spare you one more but if you ever come by that SSH again, fuck that being polite shit, put me on the list, lol.

Lets look at this power and where it has to go.....

Lets look at this power and where it has to go.....

ok it starts here.......

That pole is about the middle of my land.....
then it has to go to this snorkel thing

then it goes to the back of this panel..

then looking at this corner.... the other side of this corner is the front side of the office.... the outside part of the mini split Ac wiring will have to go up over the door, down to a thru wall that already there for phones and internet and cable about 2 inches off the floor, then run to the left for about 11 feet and around the corner

The power for the room its self only needs to got through that wall on the right.... and then along the wall about 9 feet....
