Nice nugs aspen

Idk if you are still working on an ac plan. But here's what I've done in the pat couple months. Now it's in the window as intended.
but I did extensive research, stoner brainstorming, and testing on improper window banger usage

If your security situation is even slightly better than mine you can improve these easily.
Learn from my mistakes lol. Lemme know if ur interested

First one - inefficient. Based on most available online tutorials

Much better build. My issue was how I was exhausting. But instead of continue r&d I'm using window for summer. Will rebuild in fall

Jeaz, I use LED's without the need for an A/C but don't they sell an A/C unit with intake and exhaust ducts?

Yeah they do but my research told me not to do it.
This was my answer.

I'm not an led guy. And don't see myself getting into it anytime soon. If anything I'll grab some cmh at some point

TT that's some serious detacation I'm impressed.... But I'm not completely convinced can do all that..... What's the smallest ac I can get away with to cool 4 light's. 24k BTU? And my location is already topping 90....... I have to wait for the mini.. I gotta get this right and that alone is worth the time..... And having it installed is well within my skill set... Man I wish I could do that kinda stuff....

I have no technical or handy skills. Pieced it all together. It did take a good chunk of a day. But it was worth it. That's a 12k btu. It cools about 2100 at a time max (all open hoods, lung never exhausted). I set it to 70. The lung stays at 72. Tents at 77. I can improve the tent temps by playing with the fans I think

Fun projects lol. Not difficult at all. Easier if you don't have to worry about security as much.

Insulate the ac properly, duct intake and then just seal the back to a piece of insulated plywood over the window.

I had to worry about sound and shit.. my window is by the sidewalk

Open hood? BAre minimum I'd say. Especially if the house isn't super well insulated. Which direction walls are facing. Local temps and humidity. Etc.

Aspen from what I've seen you do so far I'm betting you could self install the mini split. Only issue might be running electrical since anything over 12K BTU is going to be 240v.

240 volt is simple as 110 it just burns more. Wear nitrite or latex gloves no worries. Wire it all up before you connect it to power. I have no doubt that you could knock it out with Dan's help. That being said Hot summers fuckin blow as a grower.

The standard is 4k btu per 1k of light. Plus 1k btu cooling for ballasts. So at the minimum for 4 lights 16k btu cooling and 20k btu cooling with ballasts.

I would also say if you are in a hot area you will need a little more. Like say if one of you wall is exposed to direct sun light during the day.
