if her main office already has AC ( i'm guessing furnace & outside AC unit ) & shes adding a mini split to the main part of the grow ...... why would she get heat build up ????

you have to remember , that was a manufacturing facility at one time & whats there now kept them in cool enough conditions to be able to work . shes just adding extra to combat what the extra lights & dehueys heat would add to it .

I mentioned it because cooling the entire building could get expensive to do. Plus she is having a hard time getting the minisplit. Running something she can get at the local lumber yard and she can install herself might be quicker and surly would be cheaper. Not to mention she would not have to have someone over to vacuum the lines.

She is somewhat smart and the choice will be hers to make. Just giving her a different idea for her to think about.

The people that owned my place had a company making AR rifle parts. The shop has 3 transformers on its power Pole.... It cost him 12 thousand to bring in the power.....
Ahhhhhhhhh I c now lol
Not your avrage resedintal shop. Still wondering what voltage you have there? If it's 460v that would be fucking awesome if it was mine lol.

yeah thats a good idea ! then you just have to run a 50 amp 4 wire range recepticle down to where you want to put the panel . thats easy enough :tiphat:

& like i said , 3 phase is no different than the single phase your used to seeing , its just 3 hot legs instead of 2
Unless ya have a wild leg. Seen a framer decide to tie a receptacle for a saw into a 3 phase j box 1 time. His saw ran like never before for about 3 cuts and then the genie came out lol. He tied into the wild leg and sent 277 to his saw. When I seen the smoke I knew what he had done lmfao.

how can i find that out?

Measure leg to leg and each leg to ground. There's 3 different 3 phase voltages that I deal with on a daily basis.

3 phase power leads

3 phase power leads

also i have these two things that use to power a couple of 3 phase CNC machines i dont know what breaker they are on...... there just hanging from the ceiling.....

this is the primary reason i bought this place the shop has a 100k value alone. the black steel pipes you see are air compressor drops...

To find the breaker per service breakers must be mapped.

turn off the breakers and one by one turn on and look to see amp wire gauge and voltage...110..220..3 phase that is 3- 110 volt legs

one by one map and use a continuity tester that is 240 volt capable.

and draw the diagram for future reference.:tiphat:

in your picture there is 3 110 volt line and a ground i suggest tracing those to see how they hooked up the breaker.

harbour frieght gives away with a small purcjhese a red volt meter that goes to 270 or 110 or dc volts check their online ads or join their email club.

this is perfect ! you already have a subpanel & a 4 wire range out let ! is this anywhere close to where you want to set up the grow room ???

Medfinder you may wanna research that a little more. There could be a wild leg in the mix. It could be from 208 to 277 v. Not all 3 phase is created equal.
And being that this was a mechine shop there could be 480 volts and a step down transformer.

ok it starts here.......
View Image
That pole is about the middle of my land.....
then it has to go to this snorkel thing
View Image
then it goes to the back of this panel..
View Image View Image
then looking at this corner.... the other side of this corner is the front side of the office.... the outside part of the mini split Ac wiring will have to go up over the door, down to a thru wall that already there for phones and internet and cable about 2 inches off the floor, then run to the left for about 11 feet and around the corner

View Image

The power for the room its self only needs to got through that wall on the right.... and then along the wall about 9 feet....

on panel A .... get me a close up pic thats as clear as you can possibly get of the white spec sheet thats on the door of the panel . so we know what your power source is . & find the breaker in that panel A thats marked panel B ...(bottom left breaker ) & tell me the number on the handle of the breaker & get a pic of that too please . then we can go from there & you won't have all this speculation going on .... we'll know for sure :tiphat:
