Medfinder you may wanna research that a little more. There could be a wild leg in the mix. It could be from 208 to 277 v. Not all 3 phase is created equal.
And being that this was a mechine shop there could be 480 volts and a step down transformer.

she showed the basic set up of the service & i didn't see any transformers or lines running to what could be one . so i'm thinking is just a 208/110 3 phase service with a subpanel on the other end of the shop .

Yeah could be. I'm just thinking what I would do if setting up a production machine shop. Anything that could run on 480 volt would be.

i hear that !!! me too , but this is still just a basically small commercial shop in a residential area . i doubt very very much they'd bring in 480 ! or even 277 .

it looks by the main panel that there was really only 3 or 4 main pieces of equipment . a mill a lathe & a Haas ... whatever the fuck that was lol

Ill have to test that Joe to find how much.... this is not an ordinary home shop........ i mean the roof comes off this building and the office part has 9 inch double re bar reinforced what ever that is but those two cnc machines were so big and heavy they couldn't be moved horizontally. they had to be lifted out by crane..... they left a copy of the power bill in the shop it was 860 a month..... Ive never seen another shop like this one...... I gotta get the power thing figured out though....

i still can't read that spec sheet . can you see on it anywhere in the upper section where it says what the voltage & amperage is for that panel ?

the breaker with the red tape on it we can use for the range outlet . we'll only need 2 of the 3 legs on it , but thats fine .

if i were you ., i'd be taking the old pipes & wires that went to the pieces of equipment right out . no need for them any more & they're a safety hazard .

as far as running power to your new room , we can do it multiple ways . we have to figure out exactly what you want to do first .
a subpanel right near the room , or a lighting controller & a few circuits for fans & pumps .

damn i wish you were closer !!!! 2 days & i could have that place wired for whatever you wanted to do !

lighting controllers

look around too , because growco's prices are a little high , i've seen them cheaper at other places .

stay away from the Titan or Helios units ! they don't come with the important stuff like the power cords & timers & other shit , but they'll gladly sell it to you seperatly ..... cheap bastards !
