Im guessing as long as the rest of the room is sealed good and you at least attempt to get the inside of the ac sealed as best as possible, then you would be fine.

If not, you have a serious security issue you would need to take care of first as it should not have a full-on exhaust thru the ac (stinky stinky). In other words....it shouldnt leak the whole room's air volume quick enough to make it not worth while. (hope i worded that right).

I think co2 is like $25 for a 20lb which gets about a whole run on 2k so based on what i witnessed at an old friends house. Even if you had to replace it twice a run, its only $25 more. Dont forget to factor in costs of co2 controller/timer/solenoid or whatever.

Interested to know more about running c02 in a tent where the exhaust sucks air from the filter in the tent, blows it through the lights and then out into the attic. Would c02 be beneficial in this system or no because it's being exhausted? Temps in the tent are around 90F and the ambient room is 75-80F Lights off / on. Can't figure out how to get the ambient room down (rest of the house is 5-10F cooler) or the tent down. I tried turning the exhaust fan down and tried turning it up, neither seem to really help. Can't figure out how to add an AC to the setup either without exhausting smelly air, which isn't an option, unless I were to add one of those AC's that only the tubes for refrigerant run inside and there's a little unit outside, but that would require some serious structure modification, running those cables, tubes, etc through concrete or something, no thanks.

If you are running any type of exhaust then CO2 is wasted. You will pump the CO2 out of your tent faster than you can replenish it. I ran a room with a window shaker. I simply ran an over sized carbon scrubber inside the room just recirculating room air through the scrubber. Couldn't even smell inside the room unless right on top of the plants. I grow small though. 1 600W light. You can also pick up an Ozone generator and run it on a timer for odor control. I use one in my home for when I smoke. I do a couple bong hits. turn on the ozone generator and 10 min later no more smell.

Stopping in to say Happy Holidays to everyone. I see everyone still has the fires rolling. Good to see. :dance013::dance013::dance013:

Rockin Robot,
Thanks for the links. It still adds up to about $300 for the tank, regulator and controller. My room is sealed pretty well already minus adding some weather strips to the door. Like the fella said it sure is expensive cruising these forums.

Yes it's not cheap but it's a 1 time cost. After that its just the CO2 refills. I started out with the regulator on a timer until I could afford the controller.

anyone using Roots Organic Extreme Serene?

i saw a respected member on another site state how fast roots are growing using it so i decided to try a sample bottle ive been sitting on for a few months and within 3 days of using it on freshly rooted clones roots were exploding out of the bottom of the small cups they are in.

its dark and if you use the reagent drops for testing ph forget it.

just wanted to pass along the info after what i see in my garden.

Well this is an interesting situation to be in. I actually have too MUCH product lol. Can't figure out what to do with it, threw them into vac sealed bags with Bovedas until I do figure it out. If Rosin stored long term better, I'd press it. Wasn't that happy with the returns on BHO, made some last week and only got around 15% return with this strain, where I normally get 20-25% with other strains, so that's also out. Gotta start finding a way to barter it lol as I don't sell or anything.

I've used this the past 6 months with great success. Glad to see others are also using it.

Better off with too much than not enough :)

How do you FL people balance using AC to keep room temps to around 77 or so and air exchange rates recommended at once or twice every 5 minutes. I know one answer is go sealed room then it gets complicated and expensive to add CO2. I was just thinking if the air exchange could be reduced to like once an hour then the AC could keep up but with air exchanged every 2 minutes it does not seem like a window shaker 10K btu could work for a room 10' x 10' x 9'. Or is the answer all people in the south have sealed rooms and ad CO2?
Thanks for any input.
Imvho, you will spend more $$$ trying to exchange cooled air than with a sealed room. I run several rooms that are 10x10x8, similar size to yours, with 4k watts in lights.
In a sealed room with a properly sized AC, the AC will only run enough to keep the room at set temp. When you exchange the cooled air your AC will have to run full blast to cool back down the new "warm" air.
How many lights are planning? 'Cuz 10k btu will NEVER cool the wattage I use. I run two 12k btu minisplits in each flower room and 9k btu's in all my flower rooms. In each flower room a 20lb tank of Co2 lasts 5 weeks @ $25 a tank. A cheap controlle and regulator costs about 3 bills or so.
In a dialed in room with healthy plants CO2 is MAGIC:blowbubbles:
