Very nice looking...are we about day 22 or so? I forget. Are these from Tony Greens Tortured beans? They look at this point that they will not need 11 weeks like my clone only cut. Nice and chunky looking there. Are you getting trichomes on the stalks of the plant?...I am this run. I don't remember seeing it before in this quantity...liking that.
On those lower buds tightening up. I have found that as long as they are getting light they will harden up. I had buds that were 28" away from the lights looking prime.
Have a great day all. Peace, negative.

Thank you! Yes these are from TonyGreen, they are his tortured beans. I'll have to share a pic in his thread once I have a little more flower growth.
I'll have to look at the stalk in more detail, I've been looking more at the flower development so that I can learn early/mid/late bloom growth.

I'm am just blown away by how they are stacking everywhere, each top is getting nice an dense. Even some of the sites lower on the stalk feel nice and thick.

I'll have to take small cut in a few weeks to do a flash dry and test.

Edit: They are 26 days into flower - I'm counting day one as 9/6 because that's when pistils showed.

Nice.. I have always liked that name. Day 26...all righty. Mine are at day 32...I will try to remember that. 6 days apart...it is a great comparison. Be nice to see these in about 2 more weeks...day 50 or so. Frost city should be in full effect by then.
I usually count day 0 or blast off day as the day I change the light schedule...it does not really matter as most people harvest by trichomes..not a specific date.
Been great chatting with you and watching this progress. Especially so with the closeness of our grows in age.
Have a great day all. I am watching some women's high jump....Tall and thin is where its at....
Peace, negative.

Haha, yeah I liked the name too!

I took a look and what do ya know?! I saw a couple trichs on stalks on the lower left girl between her flower sites (bud sites/nodes? idk). She always looked a little ahead of the races compared to the other 3 from day zero. I'm thrilled that you've been enjoying the ride, I greatly appreciate the help and knowledge you've given me already! Your setup is almost exactly what I wanted to do originally I just didn't have enough to put into it and I chose to sink most of the initial costs into the light and environment control. I figured I could easily expand into pumps/chillers later when I'm ready.

Everything is still moving along nicely with the girls though, I'm waiting for a little loupe I ordered to come in so I can start checking things more closely for harvest time.

I'm thinking I may be harvesting them at different times, maybe a few days to a week apart, based on how they look at the moment.

Everything has remained almost the same with EC a little bit higher at 1.7, I think I may have done a nutrient in reverse when I topped off the rez tonight but I know these girls are hardy so I'm not going to drain my system over 6.25ml/gal vs 8.5ml/gal. Especially when I'm simply topping off.

My temps are just insanely stable so far and are always at 79-80 during the day and then 70-71 at night.

I've been using a laser to read leaf temp too which is about 74 +/- 1 under these LEDs

Humidity is also staying at 50 +/- 2%

I'm curious if the others will take on some of the light purple characteristics that the bottom left one has.

that is a lovely looking room

Thank you! I'm hopeful that I can expand in the future!

I changed the rez and gave it a little clean since I noticed it was getting a little funky - no chemicals to clean just fresh tap water rinse and good 'ol elbow grease to scrub shit down and dump it out (did it twice).

Still on midbloom nutes for my line

EC is 1.6

pH is at 6.2 in the pots and 5.6 in the rez after the change

Humidity is still 50 +/- 2

and day temp is 80-82 with night being 71-73.

I picked up a little 2x4 tent for drying/curing

Ordered a new 6" fan/filter for the 4x4 and will be moving the 4" setup to the 2x4.

Oh how I want to take a little cut to test but I know I need a few more weeks before even that!

Installed a 6" fan/carbon filter last night. Moved the 4" onto the 2x4 I set up for my drying area.

Still at 80 +/-1 during day and 74 +/-1 at night with humidity staying at 50 +/- 2%

Tonight I raised EC to 1.7 by adding ~15ml of some GH Grow into the 15gallon rez and topped it off.

pH was at 6.2 at the bottom of the pots and I lowered res pH to 5.5

Adjusted a couple of of the stretchy branches underneath to allow more airflow - it's looking like a jungle in there.

I accidentally broke a little branch that had maybe a 1" flower site on top, I'll be doing a quick dry and testing that out in the next few days

Looking real nice there....healthier than mine to tell the truth. I am in week 6 and seeing some edge troubles. Browning starting at the leaf edge and tip and progressing inward...last run it started on the inside and then went outward. I feel like its potassium. I upped the P and K to counteract and we will see what happens.
Yours are frosting up nicely. Being that they are RIL from seed they may take less than the 11 weeks mine took last run. Time will tell. I feel like mine are a bit farther along than last run in the same amount of time.
I would not expect much or be to disappointed at the 30 day sample. That is pretty early to have a lot of effect. I would take samples around day 45 or so and smoke them in the past. It is nice when you have a large stash so you do not have to do that. Its always way better going full term and cured right.
Keep on going man. Things are going good!
Have a great day all. Peace, negative.

Thank you for the kind words!

I'm counting from when my pistils first first showed up which was on 9/5 - if I recall correctly I flipped on 8/30 so it's a ~7 day difference based on when counting starts.

I've read so much about people saying you start counting from X or Z - I decided to be consistent and always count from pistils showing because that's the plants indicator and not an arbitrary human choice.

You're right and I'm definitely not going to take this little cut as an indicator of the full harvest, I can't wait for my loupe to come in the mail so I can start taking some closer looks.

What is your preference for % of pistils that have turned amber for your harvest indicator on the GG?

I personally do prefer the more cerebral and less couch lockey but I know each strain will be unique and I'll have to learn for myself how each one behaves lol.

I am going to assume you meant trichomes...not pistils, correct? I go for full couch lock so my choice may be on the far end of the scale if you will. I like to see a bunch of amber...not just the bracts but the actual bud trichomes. The bracts can be amber way before any real amber occurs o the buds. As far as a percentage...around 25 to 30% amber. Again pull earlier if you are more the "cerebral guy' like you term it...good description.
I am a heavy medicator with back pain and believe it or not stress to deal with even though I don't work...haha. This life can be a challenge. Good meds helps me be a good citizen...and keeps me productive around my house/property. Great hobby to have as well...just don't go into your garden all stressed out and crap....the plants like good vibes. It may sound stupid but I talk to my plants now and then. Tell them how good they look and to have a good night and stuff like that. Makes me feel good so why not.
Have a great day.
Peace, negative.

I did mean trichomes, thank you!

I don't think it's weird to talk to them at all, I've been doing it since day one haha!

I'm waiting for a loupe to come in so I can start examining the trichomes more closely. Hopefully I can post some of those pictures soon!

Thank you for following along, I greatly appreciate the bits of knowledge you're dropping on me!

That loupe will really help out...I have 3 of them. A 10x, 20x and a 30x for bugs and such. There cheap as chips and well worth the investment. Incredible what goes on at that level...the trichomes are alien like...haha. I was thinking that a USB microscope would be very useful....screen shots would take on a whole new meaning.
Have a great night. Peace, negative.

I think mine was an 8x, hope that's enough. The microscope would definitely be incredible!

Day 34 for the girls, they just woke up a little while ago!

I can only say wow.... the smell is heavenly, the feel is so sticky. I'm in love.

Can't wait for the loupe to arrive, hopefully tomorrow, and also need to get some hygrometers soon.

Took an extra pic of the cola in the back left that's been stretching up from the start.

Everything in my environment has remained basically the same.
Day temps seem to sit right around 80
Night temps right around 72
Humidity is staying at 49-51
PH was at 6.2 in the bottom of the pots and 5.7 in the rez tonight (I'll let everything sit until tomorrow morning)

8x Loupe came in, oh those closeup shots are just exquisite.

Refilled the rez, most likely for the last time until the next nute adjustement according to my schedule.

PH in the rez was adjusted down to 5.5 in the bottom the pots it was 6.2
EC was 1.7
Humidity was a little lower at 47-50 for today
temp was a little warmer at nigh at 74 and day temp was 81

I saw a couple amber trichs here and there while inspecting - definitely only a couple so they have quite a while longer to go.

iu

Here they are tonight!

I think I miscounted days with one of my previous posts (maybe a little too much herb that night). I had pistils show on 9/5 so I'm counting that as day one which makes tonight day 37. Whatever, it's day # they are freaking beautiful!

Humidity seemed to drop a little further, it was hovering at 46/45, which possibly means they are transpiring a little less? I raised my dehum by 5% so that the environment stays around 50%

Temperature has remained the same.

I only wish I had the ability to have a bigger garden right now.

Chunking up nicely. I think every smaller grower always want a bigger space...I know I do. Cab guys dream of a closet, closet guys want a room. room guys want a garage and so on...haha. they are looking very healthy there. These are going to come out very nice I think. I just passed end week 6 with mine. Yours are bulking up...you have some nice top buds there. With that led you should have good hard nugs all the way down. Keep up the good work!
Have a great day all. Peace, negative.

Day 39 of their flower, day 93 since sprout!

My wife decided to help out with some pictures tonight so these, except for the full garden shots, are hers. She obviously takes way better pictures than me so I'm definitely going to be asking her to do that in the future.

I'll be switching nutes over tomorrow to late flower and adding some more koolbloom to the mix.

Everything is reading the same

EC at 1.7
pH at 6.2 in pots at adjusted to 5.5 in the rez
Humidity at 50% +/- 1 or 2
Temps during day is 80/81 and at night its 73/74.

Like negative37dBA said, almost everything is feeling nice and dense all the way down. The only things that are feeling "larfy" are the ones on the main branches real low. Even those tops that are about 12 inches below my scrog and almost 36 inches away from the light feel DENSE. I'm very excited for a before/after of weighing, I'm a freaking idiot for not starting to grow years ago, I love this so much.

She did a good job taking the pics. These are shaping up sweet! You probably are getting some good smells starting to waft about....
Mine have totally collapsed on themselves, as they were to tall and had no upper trellis. Putting some yo yo's on them today to try to help out. My room looks like a snowstorm hit its so white....
Keep up the good work! Be cool to see something to compare size to your buds. Give us a bit of scale.
Have a great day all. Peace, negative.

Thanks negative37dBA ! It's probably obvious that she is the artsy one and I'm the nerd lol. I didn't even think about including something for scale, I will have something posted tonight that will give that! Thank you for asking for that!

Akss Thank you too! That picture is 44/45 days into 12/12 - I flipped on 9/30 and had pistils show on 10/5. I'm counting my "flowering days" from when I had pistils first show, which is why I said 39 days of flower.

I'm going to flower for another 2-3 weeks. I'm unfortunately going out of town for a week Saturday but my little cousin will be coming over to take care of them. I've been showing him everything I do for the past week and have left detailed instructions, fortunately he shouldn't HAVE to do anything except for refill the rez.

Here they are starting day 41. I'll unfortunately/fortunately be on vacation for a week leaving tomorrow but I have a family member coming over to take care of things who I've been teaching and showing what to do for the past week.

Good thing is, he only needs to fill the rez, everything else is autopilot for these autopots.

Got a new 20x loupe and the same as a few days ago the only amber I'm seeing is on the sugar leaves so far and it's a very small amount some are still even clear - these definitely have a few more weeks to go!

Raised the lights an inch so everything is still the same, they've continued to stack a little more and expand, definitely getting heavy.

temps are 80 +/- 1 during the day and 75 +/- 1 during the night
Humidity is hovering at 49/50
DLI between 40/45

Lighter for scale towards the end, I did not have any banana's on hand.
