First time grow (GG #4)

Back home from vacation and I must say my cousin did a wonderful job. He was also taking care of the cat so he had to come over every day lol. He'll be getting a nice share for his troubles and efforts.
Coming back home I had to turn the heat on in the house, the temp was down to 67 at night so now it's back to about 72 at night and 79 during the day. RH is still at about 50%
Here they are on day 50! They have put on some weight, the colors are amazing the smell is just incredible, I love this light and setup. This gear is incredibly easy to run with. Some branches that were low that I didn't get into the scrog have flopped over a lot but they are still on there, I'm debating if I should cut them off for "testing" lol. I'm glad I did a scrog my first time so I can do better on the next go around now that I understand the process and goal more.

They have chunked up nicely while you were gone. I can see they have really packed on the beef 
Nugmeat everywhere!!! Looking very nice. I will be very interested in the smoke quality. We will need a good smoke report...maybe several..haha.

I took off two little branches that had crimped and folded due to weight. TESTERS!!!
Day 52!
Temp is a little lower at 75 during the day but still no lower than 70 at night, it's getting chilly here in my area now. RH is hovering about 50% still.
I went through and used some ties I had to support other bigger branches that I was concerned about, they still have another week or so. I can feel we're getting close.
Depending on how they look I think I'll be chopping before I leave next friday for another week. I'd rather not stretch them too far into the amber coloring because my wife and I do prefer more cerebral and heady/upper smokes. I also know they'll easily take 7+ days to dry because I'll be taking the whole plant down.

Ceteris Paribus, some fading has started on fan/sugar leaves.
A lot of bulking up is occurring now, I'm seeing some branches that were holding strong bending now, I'm so glad I tried scrogging for my first time, while I didn't do it 100% correctly you can only improve on what you try and experiment with.
I understand now why some people run with 2 layer scrogs.

Here's an update from last night!
Day 56
They are entering their final days now. My plan is to chop Friday (10/5) around noon which will put them at 62 days since pistils showed.
I'll be giving them about 36-40 hours of darkness before chopping.
Always feels good to get to the end of grow...dang you are going to be done before me! Hopefully those trichs are getting to be where you like them. I am at day 62 today and will need to go a week or 10 days more. They are looking great! Trich density on the glue is so good. Should be a nice yield.
I am looking forward to doing some crosses if I get a male Dough G. GG4 x Dough G might yield something nice.

Because we're leaving friday afternoon I'll actually be taking them down Thursday night so this is their last time seeing light. They'll be going to sleep tomorrow morning at 8am and I will not be turning lights on in the tent until the next beans are popped. They're 59 days into Flower tonight and on chop they'll be 61. Probably could be stretched another day or two but I'd rather chop a day or two early than a week late.
I'll be taking off all the fan leaves at chop and hanging the entire plants. Hopefully when we return they'll be ready for the buckdown so I can clean the tent and get it ready for the next run!

I learned a lot this first time so I'm excited to apply that new knowledge to the next run! I've still got plenty to learn and I'll continue reading as much as I can and posting as I go.

4 plants, I'm happy with that so far, we'll see how the final weight is though.
We smoked some of the testers today that I had cut last week, they were still fairly wet but they still work in the volcano perfectly. The high was fantastic but they tasted wet lol and took an extra run in the volcano to finish.

Way to go. Looking great there. We need a detailed smoke report. Would like to compare it to the #4 to see how it stacks up. Whats the plans for next run? Any ideas on seed or did you keep some clones of the plants you had? Excellent results here!

I'm not sure yet what strains but definitely going from seed again, I have 16 more of the GG#4 RIL and then also like 10 freebies of gorrilla bubble I think it was. I have so many bag seeds too but don't trust doing those in my tent incase of full hermies. I did not take any clones from these, I currently don't have the equipment for cloning but I'd like to build that tek myself eventually.
I think I'm going to keep the exact same equipment for the next run since it was fairly simple to maintain and basically autopilot the whole time.
I must apologize, what information is being looked for in said smoke report. Just the way the high feels, or some specific information such as "ash testing", which i've read about but have not done my own experimenting with.
