Smoke report info.
Just easy stuff like type of effect. How it comes on. Does it have a ceiling. How many hits to a good bake. How are you smoking it. What type of flavors does it have as well as smells. Type and structure of bud. Trichome density. Bag appeal. Clean burn or does it crackle a bit....you know just things like that..haha.
Have you ever hit the original gg4? If you have a comparison would be good, if not no biggie.
Have a great one, negative.

So you hit 742 grams with 420 watts first go....FUCKING SWEET BRO! Be proud, thats a nice number!!

Wife and I strictly use a volcano now so we don't fully burn anything and we have insanely high tolerances. We're doing 2 packs which we run at 190c for 2-3bags, but we were doing the same amount with high quality flower from CA/CO. The high is phenomenal, spot on for what we were hoping for, a nice cerebral upper that we can function with daily. It hits right away and climbs for quite a while, we usually go through about an O a week.

Smell is almost citrusy and floral right now but this is only a few days into cure. They are dennnnnnssseeee but still a little moist in the dead center (especially with some of the 3-5gram colas we had) so I know they'll only be improving over the next few weeks.

I'm sure we could've trimmed a little tighter but she mentioned that it looked like the BC buds she used to get in college and I have to say I would be extremely happy if I picked up an O of this from a local plug.

I have never had the original GG#4 to have a comparison with, this is my first experience with this strain but I think it's great and can't wait to do it again!

Thanks for the kind words! I know I can get a better harvest if I scrog more carefully and let them grow more, I definitely could have (and will next time) kept the veg time a few weeks to a month longer.

Tonygreen shoutout to Tony for putting in the work on this RIL

Bonus!

We made some hash

First run was the top left stuff, second/third I added our ABV stuff to the mix and ran it through.

Nice job on the bubble.... Is there any fuel smell coming off that glue???...I mean there has to be right?? Mine has a huge fuel hit right when you open the jar then you start to pick out the other goodness.
I have my harvest chilling in the dry tent. 6 days now. A ways to go before the dry trim but I am getting there. Just to compare I pulled 810 out of my 4x5 last go with more wattage than you(debatable). I ran my 660 watt turned down most of the grow. The original gg4 is not know for being a huge producer...just fire.
Have a great one. I am pulling out some nugs of Alien Rift to toke on tonight. Has a bout a 23 week cure on it now. Hits real nice.

After curing for a few days the fuel smell is starting to come on strong. I burped things yesterday during my lunch break and when the wife came home 5 hours later she said the house still absolutely reeked of the smell.

I'm suuuuper proud of this for my first go!

I'll be cleaning everything this weekend to get prepped for the next run.

Hey man, nice grow. Thanks so much for this.

I know it has been 9 months+ since you finished this one, but I've have been looking for a Grow Journal on using 4 x autopots in coir/perlite to provide me with some reassurance that using an autopot setup with coir would work. The evidence is support is not as strong as one might think.

Surprisingly, there are very few completed grow journals of autopots and coir on most of the larger cannabis sites -- not at least that I have been able to find. There are several attempts at it, sure, but many of them "go wrong" in flower. Same with autopots in coir on Youtube where there are... 4 of them I think? In all but one, something goes wrong and I was alarmed by this pattern. You must have been as well, no?

The main issue is that the pH climbs in coir to be much higher than it is in the rez. You dealt with that consistently by lowering pH in the rez, measuring in the root zone base in the autopots and staying on top of it.

Surprisingly though, it appears from your grow journal that you did not take the other obvious step which was to periodically flush the coir to deal with salt buildup over the course of the grow. I was surprised at that choice, but it appears to have worked out for you in the end -- so there's no arguing with success. That is the only test that matters at the end of the day.

Anyways, you can often feel doing something like a grow journal of this kind that people are not watching. I assure you that more watch than initially appears -- and that your journal can keep talking years after you write it, too.

I plan to start my indoor autopot grow this October after my outdoor plants finish. (I'm in Canada so we only get 4 plants at a time). I will detail it with a grow journal as well and fire you a link. Mine will be in a 2x4 under a Mars SP3000, so it will be a little different in that regard.

The other thing I plan to do which will be different is the one thing that has me somewhat concerned: I plan to run 4 different photoperiod strains from seed. While the autopot system allows for each plant to drink nutes/water at its own rate on a per plant basis -- the system does not support different nute ratios on a per plant basis. So we'll see if that leads to mischief and partial disaster - or not.

Be well and thanks again for all of this.
