Now here are the pics of the initial budset of some of the girls!

The very tips have pistils coming out everywhere! After I pruned them last week, the odor all but disappearred but it's coming back hard and heavy now. No particular odor that I can put a finger on but just kinda sweet and flowery smelling I guess.

I will be feeding them another dose of bloom nutes tomorrow and, then on Wednesday, I will transplant the five girls one last time into their 5 gallon pots where they will stay for the duration. I have decided that this final soil mix will be two parts Fox Farms Ocean Forest Soil to one part Fox Farms Light Warrior (soilless) to help with aeration and drainage. As always I will add an additional 20-25% perlite to make sure it's nice and airy. I'll do another update a few days after the tranplant as their should be some good progress to see! Oh boy, more bud shots!! Damn, this is fun, isn't it? :biglaugh:

Hey Zepp, my percussive brotha!! Right on . . . #420!! Gonna have to light one up in celebration of my 420th post!! Woooohoooo!!

Gotta tell ya man, I really miss chattin' with ya, bro. Hope you can get that damn puter fixed soon. I need to hear what's going on in Zep Land!!

Over The Mountain is always a bitch on the guitarist. Immulating Randy Rhoades is no easier task twenty two years later! I've played that song in many, many bands and I know how hard it is for them. We play Crazy Train right now and, God, what a bitch of a song for me and my lead guitarist. I guess were just masochists, aren't we? :biglaugh:

Hey Rule! - Thanks for the props, brotha! Hopefully that CO2 will do the trick! The problem has been getting a tank to last longer than two or three days but I think I got it under control now (Hopefully). BTW, clones coming your way tomorrow for sure!

b is me - Thanks for stopping by again. Yeah, the CO2 is pretty cool to mess with. Just trying to give my ladies the best possible so they give me their best possible! :biglaugh:

The Danimal - You are waaayyy to modest my, brotha! Your skills rank amongst the finest growers on any of these boards!! Your knowledge for the herb, the respect you show for your fellow growers (even "noobs" like me) and the kindness you show people (especially me) is a tribute to you and the amazing guidance your family gave you. You are one in a million, my friend! :friends:

UPDATE TIME/DAY 21 OF FLOWER!!

Now we are 21 days into 12/12 and stretch is pretty much over. Surprisingly, neither the Blue Thunder or the Apollo Mist stretched too much. All five plants range between 30" - 34" tall. They were about 20" - 24" when they went into flower, so they added about 10" in height overall in flower. I was prepared for them to get as high as about 42" but I think because I LST'd them throughout veg, that controlled their height to a greater degree. I would suspect that if you did train either of these strains, they would probably do well in a SOG or SCROG setup.

I have still had a bit of leaf chlorosis on all plants but it's been limited for the most part to the lower, larger fan leaves. Quite a bit of the lower foliage has dropped of or been pruned due to the chlorosis. The lower 25% or so of the plants is pretty bare but this should focus those valuable auxins to the growth tips.

The new growth and bud development is lush as can be and trichomes are starting to show on the new bud leaf growth! Without further adue, here are the Day 21 of Flower pics!!

Apollo Mist

And the Blue Thunders

Tonight they received the Week 3 Advanced Nutrients Bloom nutes and, for the first time, introduced AN's Big Bud and B-52. Where I had been giving the plants 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 liters per 3 gallon pot, I have cut back a bit on the quantity but will increase the frequency of feedings from every three days to every other day. I think I overwatered them last week as a couple of the Blue Thunders had leaves cupping in the upper new growth region. If you look at the first Blue Thunders above, you can see what I'm talking about. The margins are curling under and kind of folding up a bit. So, based on Tech Mike's at Advanced Nutrients recommendation, I am going to try less volume more frequently.

Also, based on another of Mike's recommendations, I decided to not transplant to 5 gallon pots and let them finish in the 3 gallon pots. Seeing as how they were almost done in stretch last Thursday night (when I originally was going to transplant them) Mike said it would just be wasting the soil for the transplant since they were already as tall as they would get. At first, I was hesitant to listen to him but he was making sense. The he told me that he has grown 24" tall plants in a 32oz. Coke cup!! I was like, HOLY SHIT DUDE!!! :biglaugh: So, surely my plants have had plenty of room for roots throughout stretch but next grow they go in the five gallons for sure (just before stretch).

I ended up with 18 out of 23 clones that rooted and survived! Not too bad for a first time at it. The have been a bit slow to grow new leaf as I did take the clones after the first week of 12/12. They are now under a 24/0 light schedule to get them fully reverted to veg along with some new seedlings that I have started (Sour Mist and Kalichakra). I'm keeping 9 of the seedlings for myself and sending the other 9 to a good buddy here on ICMag. Hope you enjoy them, bro and I'm looking forward to seeing what those BIO-TUBS of yours do for them!! Here's the ones I kept.

Well, the "Wild Rild" has begun! Now, it's just a matter of watching these ladies do what they do and be patient, right? I hate to admit this but I've been smoking the dried prunings from these plants (including prunings from the male plants :biglaugh: ) for a couple of weeks now. And, I swear to you with my hand raised to God that I get a damn good buzz (no pun intended) off of it. Now, go ahead and laugh guys (while you sit there with your big, fat, juicy buds) :moon: :whip: ! When you're a new guy and have no buds you'll smoke most anything!! :biglaugh: It's like Eddy Murphy said in 48 Hours - "Lacka pussy make you BRAVE!")

Well, that's it for this week folks! Hope you enjoyed the bud shots. I know my photography sucks but this camera just won't do good macros. I will at least try to get a better composition of the plant in the future and try to do the best with what I have. Take care all and thanks so much for dropping by and leaving a word or two. Thanks!!

Is it that obvious, Rule? :biglaugh: These buds are swelling up a little more each day! The the week 3 bloom nutes really agree with all the plants. They're looking much better now. The nuecrotic leaves down low have stopped getting any worse. The top 8" of the Apollo Mist #1 meristem and the top 8" of Blue Thunder #3 are filling in solid already. I'm hoping that it travels further down a bit to give me 12" tall main colas. We shall see but it looks really good so far!

I'll do another update towards the first of next week. You will see the progress since the last pics for sure!! :canabis:

TokinJoe - Thanks for still hangin' in there with me! It's really starting to get interesting now. Buds are swelling almost daily.

Immortal - Good to hear from you, bro! Wow, we are almost at the identical stage in flower. Feel free to post a few pics of your ladies for comparison purposes, man! Let's see how they look!! :canabis:

Ill try to get some good pics for ya but my photography really sucks at this point. They are starting to get frosty though. I think stunted a few of them from the light being so close and singing some leaves and hairs. Im getting some glass tomorrow so I can try and get the light closer.

SO does anyone have any photograpy tips for me? IM using a HP photosmart M305 3.2 megapixel with a 9x zoom it does have macro setting but I can get the cam closer without it. IT also has adjustable shutter speeds.

Hey Relik Ive also smoked dried prunings from my plants. Even before they were flowering. I post about my experineces also, although usually quite embarrased. Im high of some lil budletts I just clipped from underneath the cannopy right now. I havent smoke any real pot in like 8 months. How long has it been for you?

It hasn't been as long for me, Immortal. I have pretty much had street schwag to smoke all along IF I wanted it. However, it's hard to smoke that shit when all you do is come on here and see these unbelievable buds that everyone is growing!! :biglaugh: I will say that I have had a bud or two of some Bubblegum and some Heavy Duty Fruity passed my way in the last few months but that is the ONLY good smoke I've had! Smoking the prunings has gotten me by so that I'm not "jonsing" too bad. I am really looking forward to having a supply of the top shelf stuff though. While most of what I'm growing will be passed on for consumption, I do plan on keeping an ounce or so for myself. I don't smoke as much as a lot of people here do. In fact, I don't smoke every day even. So, I can make an ounce last until my next harvest which will be a couple of months after this one. I'm going for the perpetual harvest thing! :canabis:

Yeah id rather spend my money on making my operation better. All I can get around here is schwag and it just isnt worth it. Probably better than my clippings though.
