Hey Rellik ,
i know it's been awhile since i last stopped in , i guess you noticed i don't get out of the indoor grows-hydro forum much , everything is looking good sofar , cant wait to see some updated pic's of how the BT's are filling in for ya , what kinda scent are they giving off ? RM says it should be a pungent piney,grapey,blueberry aroma , do any of those describe it ?

Thanks for all the nice comments, Sally! Glad that you could pick up a thing or two from this "noob" while he muddles his way through his first grow. I hope you'll stick around as it's just getting good!!

Glad you could break away from the "water works" long enough to check on us "low tech" Dirt Boys, OH! Things are coming along pretty well, I think. We are now 28 Days into 12/12. Not quite half way there yet but I guess it's time for an update.

UPDATE TIME!! 28 DAYS 12/12

The plants are now four weeks into flower and the buds are starting to pack on the calyx. I up the nutes to the Week 4 amounts according to the nutrient calculator at Advanced Nutrients. This is the first week that AN's Big Bud has been added to the mix. They were fed Bud Blood for the first two weeks of flower only and then it was replaced in the regiment by Big Bud. They really seem to like it too. I've kept the PH of the nutes in and around 6.2-6.3.

Most of the Blue Thunders were developing "popcorn" bud sites on virtually every branch leading up to the main cola. I did one last pruning (which is a bit late to do) on all of the plants tonight to clean them up and remove much of the lower "popcorn". Again, I am trying to focus the growth hormones (auxins) towards the growth tips. I would MUCH rather have big swollen colas than medium sized colas and a bunch of "popcorn" bud.

The plants are in good health overall. I still some crispy, somewhat neucrotic leaves down low. Everyday there's a few dead leaves that have fallen when I open the door. I have tried to monitor the PH, water a bit less quantity more frequently but it still occurs. Well, I guess I've just accepted it as a "newbie" that's just not totally tuned in yet. It gives me something to shoot for improving with my next plants (which the new clones and seedlings are doing GREAT, by the way, Thank you for asking!! )

So, what do you think so far, guys? Not tooooo bad for a "noob"! Next week's feedings is when Advanced Nutrients Overdrive is added to the nute mix and we should see some definite swelling of these (so far) beautiful colas.

As always, your comments and questions are always appreciated! I'm really diggin' taking pictures of these buds. If the last two weeks or so is when they really start to put on their weight, then I'm sure I'm going to have to stake up the limbs from the weight (what a problem to have ). Let's hear what you think of my ladies so far!

b is me- BOG's genetics are undoubtedly the bomb! I have been drooling over his plants and grows since I joined ICMag. Those Sweet Cindy 99's look so lush and, damn, those colas!

Personally, I have had my eye on Sour Bubble for some time and have missed on getting seeds from two backcrosses so far. I was wanting them at BX2 and then again at BX2.5. Here it is at BX3 and I just don't have room for them yet! Between Sour Bubble, Bogglegum, Lifesaver and LSD I don't think you could ever go wrong. Especially if you're an indica lover.

you know it's not like that :wink: ,besides theres nothing "hitech" about how i grow , the romans used hydroponics 2500 years ago , maybe that's why i do so good with it , and the word it self means "waterworking" , i just find it's easier , cleaner , and suits me best is all .

the BT's & APM's are looking good , i always get the jitters around the 30 day mark , this is just about the time plants will show you if their gonna yield anything worth a damn or just be mediocore at best , from looking i think your soil PH might be alittle off , you got any dolomite lime laying around ?
if ya do i'd mix a tablespoon of it in a gallon of water and give it to them , should help with your leaf drop symptoms.

other than that i gotta say great job sofar bro , it wont be long before your puffing your own "higrade" nuggies :smile:

That man has a Big Heart! and Dutch, she's just my homegirl and I think they both know that I am just a lil' ol country girl that wouldn't want to ever cause any problems what so ever to this community or anyone else for that matter... yeah it's cool Ms G , i was just saying this morning to Bonzo and afew weeks ago to sleepy that i just wanna see people get a good grow in and if i can help it's my pleasure , this way if or when i meet some of you's we'll both be sharing the best we could grow , i could really care less about a green piece of text under my name and was J/K , i do what i do out of shear love for the plant and besides it makes me happy to help other as i have alot of free time on my hands most days , so the least i can do is spend abunch of hours here helping the community as a whole , and sharing what i've learned in 25 years of growing.

Angry Scientist- Welcome back, bro! Yes, indeed, I would highly recommend RM's Blue Thunder for a future grow. While they can be a bit sensitive to nutes, they are obviously vigorous and strong enough genes to withstand my screw ups!! Zepplindood says that his Blue Thunders have more of a blueberry scent and flavor than his DP Blueberries did! And, if you can find that special pheno that turns out the electric purple buds, hold on to your rear end as it might just try to take flight!!

Whats up man? Just joined IC and spent the last 30 mins or so lookin through your thread. Your grow looks very nice! Its good to see some other fellow texas growers on this site!!! Maybe yall can help me out with some heat issues in the summer if that gets to be a problem :wink:

When you're right, you're right, Rule! It's been a long while since I updated. I have to take the plants out probably tomorrow as my CO2 tank is almost empty and I have to go get a refill. I will take updated pics of the girls when I take them out. Some of the buds are getting so heavy that I'll have to tie them up! They are looking really good for sure. By the way, the Blue Thunder #3 is looking the most vigorous of all of the BT's followed closely by BT#4. Just FYI so you can plan accordingly. Smoking them might be a whole other matter though. I'm still 30 days out from harvest (I think) but once they are dry I will be sampling for sure. I will do a thirty day cure on them but I'll let you know how the buds smoke right after drying first.
