Fireknot farm 2016

Injection [fertigation] is best if you have someone to stir the res/barrel or a good mixing pump running. Yesterday I just top dressed it. Next time will probably inject for accuracy.

I thought I would have plants done next week but nothing looks like its finishing yet.

Tess- I had a couple of questions. We have some large ladies (10-12') in 200 gallon smarties growing here in NorCal, our soil test came back as a little low on ca.
Do you ever foliar spray with cal mag? What might be a good rate? Maybe 1 tsp/gallon on a hose end sprayer? Just got some RAW cal mag 9-0-0. Says it's water soluble and 2 ounces will mix up for about 200 gallons.
I will use this to soil drench as well, what rate should I use there? I was thinking 2 tbs/gal on hose end sprayer.
I was also going to foliar with a light dose of silica blast, have you ever tried this?

Thanks, your plants look amazing.

I use albion calcium metalosate at a rate of 6 grams a gallon but I'm no longer foliaring my plants

General rule of thumb though foliar at 1/4th strength of recommended dosage.

I honestly dont know the rules of foliaring flowers. I was told to stop at week 3 so I did.

Raw cal mag is such a fucking rip off. Just get you some calcium nitrate. That's all it is plus magnesium nitrate. $17 for 50 lbs. Google calcium nitrate foliar for application rate.

Thanks planting- I'll check it out for next year. Pretty late in the game to add calcium, but every little bit helps. I have headband that should finish around the 10-15th and jack herer that should finish in a month. A couple of soil drenches adding some cal should help finish these girls up.

The colas on this dragons fruit are insane...biggest in the garden...a grasshopper ate the tips on a couple when it was younger but no mold yet!

I think I'm like 2 weeks out on that dragons fruit. Pistil discoloration is my main indicator, but bad weather and disease would also cause me to chop early if I needed to. I see no pm or botrytis yet though so no worries there. I will also cut my tops first because they mature faster and are more disease prone. Plus it opens up the plant and lets the lower nugs finish better.

I've been tripping out all day: "what if they dont finish and I need to flash ripen them???" I need to take a chill pill...

Search the thread, I forgot, leadsled told me a company.

Someone on instagram sent me 25 turkey bags. Im fucking pumped! Had it sent general delivery to the post office.

Lol it was the last component in my system and I didn't need to pay for it. They just want a review in return...for a TURKEY BAG! Man...I've got some good ideas...

Yeah, fuckin rain next week, caterpillar shit will mold your nugs too but I don't see any. I forgot spinosad on the quarter moon so I'm blasting them in the morning.

Turning pistils is oxidation a healthy plant will keep growing because these things never get seeded so if you load enough nutrients on them at the right phases they will grow until senescence.

They'll turn pink when you chop
