Ive noticed they seem to communicate with 'tapping' on the branches while making a funny 'beeoum beeoum' star wars laser like noises.

Ive been able to tap with one for a while, they seemed intrigued

Noticed the same thing with a few different squirrels. At first they seem to be just watching while kind of agitated on a branch making squirrel noises
Then they use one hand and slap it on the branch 5-10 times while watching to see what you will do.
Once you start tapping your hand on something the same way they get real interested and wait until you stop. Then you kind of take turns doing mini drum solos until one of you tires of it.
It is pretty funny to watch though.

I had a small lower branch break off a heaven mountain before I got around to supporting it more so I dried it and smoked it...a little too much nitrogen for my liking, I think I'm going to cut the nutrients on the ones that are a couple weeks out and do water only...maybe with some micro sulfates added and that's it.

Thanks for the heads up, you know when there's a slight bend to dried stems? Thats how I can tell. Its sat in a tray for a few days and still a little bendy, not too bad, but not where I want my finished product ideally.

wasn't just immature taste ?

Or too quick a dry on it? I always get that hay smell from sample branches that are cut and quickly dried. I guess it's the chlorophyll not having had a chance to break down properly? :dunno:

Wow, Google maps has stepped up their game. For some reason, I can see through my greenhouse fogged plastic clearly, and I can count my plants........ Outdoor is too easy. I am floored.

Google = Skynet

lol skynet, we'll discuss that in the Fireknot farm 2017 thread slownickel if you're still around, but I imagine the soil between the holes that were dug out with an auger would dry up a lot faster than the soil on top of the holes...plus theres no way im getting in there to dig with a machine and it would be impossible to do by hand. Probably end up just making them bigger. I got harvest to worry about now though. And there's a shit ton of decades old wood I need to clear and drop some huge ponderosas.
