Fireknot farm 2016

Yeah I'm definitely pruning before I wrap. Might start tonight.

Found some trellis today but it was not cheap. Home depot can order it. I might do that.

I got 250' and figure I'll need like 750' total at least.

I found this thread posted on another website, maybe IG??? you got hella numbers in a week or so after I saw that post, where was it?

it's still driving traffic your way, ICmag seems pretty slow since IG got big.
maybe I'm too old for IG but I prefer forums like this.

keep up the good thread.:tiphat:

I have no idea where else this would be posted. Apparently someone ran a fake traffic generating script. Had me...I thought it was google or something.

I prefer the forums too...I must have got here post IG era though.

There's something zenasfuk about kneeling before an almost 10 foot tree in the shade of it the sun strobeblinking thru the windy leaves just pruning away with the smell of an assortment of dankness wafting around you in whirls....

Let's see 'em get bigger then.

tesserecting, ever heard of the dream machine? Brion Gysin made it to mimic that strobe effect from sunlight through trees and the idea was that it makes you hallucinate.

Yep...built one 10 years ago. It was rad. Total electric neon geometric visions whilst "sober". Had a blast with it back in the day in the sensory deprivation closet. The mars volta had a huge one on their stage during their prime too. I had a very colorful youth...
Anyone with an old turntable and a big piece of thick paper can do it. I kinda miss it...but I miss my sonosub more that I built and gave away. Subsonic frequencies FTW.

Im taking a break from watering to eat some lunch. My well slows down after 200 gallons. Good excuse to take a hike and chill while the aquifer replenishes. The hash is oh so very nice.

Pretty grow!

Pretty grow!

Wow. Pretty healthy looking plants.

Do you see different eating habits among your different varieties?

Do you have a link or pic? Does it strobe the audience or project against a screen? Strobe stuff is tricky as it can cause seisures in some. I like the ol liquid light shows with an oil projector, some people still do it but its hard to find live

@slownickel Actually yeah, thanks. The space monkey and deep line alchemy #3, all from the breeder bodhi, didn't make the cut because none of them looked healthy. Jump back 2 months: They vegged in pots I didn't ammend right so it was my fault. Sky lotus, more cowbell and sorcerers apprentice all didn't seem to care. There were a few phenos that did more so than the others too. Now that everything that did well is doing well in the ammended mounds I'm not seeing too much of a difference. I think it's just the slight difference in mound sizes that might cause some differences at this point...I guess I'll know more in this regard once they start finishing and I test each site.

I also sprayed too much Mn on them. 30ml/gal instead of half a tsp. Some flowered/stalled. It wiped out the DLA3 and all but 1 blueberry mountain, whereas the sky lotus seemed the least affected...just had one plant show signs and revert and now it's my biggest plant. SA was totally resistant. Not sure if that's of any use.

@McKush No it's been too long. There are tutorials for it online im sure if there was 10 years ago. It strobeflickers thru the patterns you cut out. Would probably lay someone down hard that gets seizures. Only works if you're up close to it though I think it was mostly on the TMV stage for show...a very cool show though. I too love those liquid oil visuals. Nothing trippier than the complex simplicity of nature.

Tessa,

Given you were talking about Ml for Mn, what source were you using? A chelate?

Mn like any other metal can go toxic easily. Correctives are best done PRIOR to planting.

Foliar metals don't work that well. They are not translocatable to the roots. The best stradegy is to use both and to use a super good chelate, Albion or Baicor are the best in the market by far... Baicor is half the price of Albion.

Check out my raised beds made with a tractor. One microsprinkler per tree. Maximizes air to the roots (roots need more air than the leaves do).

Mn sulfate was ammended and I foliar it weekly as per my consultant, leadsleds, advice. You can check it out on page 33 in detail I believe if interested. I'll remember that for next year I already have albion Ca I also do weekly and I'm down to save some money thanks for the heads up.

I didn't know the difference between corrective and maintenance but am well aware now!

They work well enough to make plants flower at high doses so they must be getting some. Some is good enough for me for now.

Also your link doesnt appear to work.

Great Job Tessarect. Is this your first season outdoor? You are going to be pleased in the end I think. I imagine you had a nice tight indoor.

I wish this thread along with some others were actualky resumes on my desk and I was setup to hire the best crew for a big facility.

Did the maggots get in your compost "beard"? I've had that happen. I keep a plastic bin going and they got in there. They got in a tote if crab that got damp before too. I used BT on them bitches. They're hard for me to stomach.

Thanks man, the indoors been good, I grew a small patch a few years ago as well as the following year and last year got a dep in. But definitely the first time I've ever grown plants like these!

Good to know BT kills maggots...yes they got in my dome but I have it in a trash bag now...I cant stand them either. Next time they will get blasted.
