@Weedeasy, good job! It was your first time if I'm not mistaken?
If so, then you just advanced a level in your growing skills.

Now make some fem seeds with that pollen and be sure to properly store the remainder of your pollen.
See the guide on the first page on how to long term store pollen

Yes, that is correct. First time growing a Cannabis plant and first time creating feminized pollen. Those plants were the first 2 seeds I have ever planted (of any type of plant).

I have a plant that is 1 week into flowering. Same Dark Purple Auto feminized. Waiting until 2 - 3 weeks into flowering to use pollen.

Seriously? Your first time ever growing anything? That's just awesome man!
I like your mentality. Why not jump straight into the deep end of the pool? :D

Personally I consider STS an advanced growing skill. Only a very small percentage of growers in the world can do what you have just done.

Heck, I think there aren't even that many people in the world who can actually. I think there are only a couple of 1000's of people or something with the necessary skills and knowledge. You just got in an elite club.

Keep it up man.

Overgrow the world!

Thanks. Your complements mean a lot to me. Thanks to everyone here who gave me the inspiration to try. This was a very fulfilling experience and experiment. The guides and tutorials were fantastic. Enjoyed looking at others success.

Next step is to pollinate my female.

Will post her pics later or tomorrow.

Hey guys, good day to you. I need some advice.
The pollen sacs have opened like umbrellas and banana-like structures are hanging down. Is this the point at which I detach them and bring them indoors for drying and storing?

These...

I also saw some other structures that have opened up. They do not look like pistols and the do not look like stamen. They grew up amongst the female and male flowers and just opened up.
See them below.

And this...

Thanks for your help.

Good day, Klompen

I made my own STS buy ordering the chemicals online and then mixing them and spraying the plants. Took 15 days from spray to dropping pollen. Only sprayed twice within 10 days.

I do not mind mixing the 2 separate liquids and sending them to you. Or sending you some of the dry crystals for you. I have plenty.

Only thing is, I don't live in the USA.

Weird structures

Weird structures

Good day mates,
I noticed some weird structures that I can identify on my plants that were converted to male. Circled in red are the pods that open like umbrellas and then hang a bunch of yellow 'bananas' down that releases a lot of pollen when touched.

But there are some other purple pods that open up quite small and become green (circled in blue) and get bigger and bigger. Not too sure what they are. Can someone chime in?

I’m not completely sure what those are but they look like pollen sacs that didn’t fully or properly form.

After zooming in a bit and doing some investigations, I realise these structures are Anthers growing out of Calyxes instead of Pistils. Usually Anthers grow out of Pollen Sacs (Stamen). Basically the plant grew Calyxes, Pistils grew out, they died and fell off and then Anthers filled with pollen grew in place of Pistils. They form differently from the pollen sacs that grow fat they Anthers drop and dangle. These don't dangle but rather stick out green and turn yellow.

Mornings :tiphat:

Plants was sprayed yesterday, keeping the 3 cuttings inside a plastic bag to avoid the spreading. Pics from today, 24h after the spraying. The three cuttings are cuttings from the same mother, Destroyer#2. Two, 3 and 4 weeks respectively since they was flipped to 12/12.
Im a noob reversing long flowering ladys, any kind of help is very appreciated. My plan is to do 3 different schedules for the second spraying, but not sure in when to do. In some point next to the 3 weeks since now? More pics when the plants start the changes.

Very nice photos. :)

Long flowering? As always it will depend on the genetics. I have a 14'ish week cut, and (at least with these specific genetics) with a spray every week for 3 weeks she was still throwing mostly pistils. I did see a male flower forming which was about a week away from opening. That was about 2 days before a catnado interrupted the scene. At some point I'll have the resources to re-start and finish that one. ;)

My girls are filled with seeds now. Plenty pistils remaining. I figure some might be seeded as pollen may fall on the pistils.

Filly assembled my grow tent and placed 3 young female with another older female 1 week into flowering.

Why do all my photos appear sideways when they are right side up on my computer?

Any way I have a very strange issue. This is one of my 3 young females. All three were planted together and are 12 days old. When they were about 7 days old, they started flowering. Now they look like they are 2 weeks into flowering and they are only 12 days old.

What do you think happened here?

Just another update.

Plenty pollen sacs opening up now as the days roll on.

Also, some parts of the plant have reverted back to female. I may pollinate those sites later today just for fun.

Keep it up and show us those finished feminized seeds in a couple of weeks.

Hey guys. just wanted to show how I manually harvest my pollen. My males live outside and females inside n a grow tent. Open pollen sacs are carefully plaucked from male plants and placed on a sheet of aluminium foil to air dry for about 8 hrs. The the sacs are rubbed on a strainer and collected on the same foil sheet which is then poured into a small 1 ml vial. The vial is left open and placed in an air-tight 8 oz jar with silica decsicant for 24 hrs.

The 1 ml vial is then sealed and placed in the refrigerator for 24 hrs then moved to the freezer.

I harvested fresh (not frozen) pollen yesterday from my 2 males and pollinated my 4 females. I dusted them with a cotton swab (Q-tip) pretty heavily last night and turned off the fans and lights. Will continue to observe to see if pollination was successful.
