Hey guys looking to experiment with some Purple Kush Auto. I have 2 plants. One is 5 weeks old and 1 week into flower and the other is 7 weeks old and 2 weeks into flower.

Should I spray the entire plant or just a few lower nodes?

See the equipment I will be using attached.

This is an Seedsman Auto Kush plant outside on the deck. This time I went with a 1:9 ratio rather than the 1:4 I used my first time. I applied it with an eye dropper when I noticed the stretch had begun, and again 1 week later.

This time the balls aren't as plenty but they also aren't packed really tight. I think this will be my preferred ratio and application for the future. Hopefully they open soon though as all the other autos in this run didnt really stretch at all and started flowering sooner than the same strains did last year. They are at optimal pollination right now :/

Nice :) Who's the breeder, do you know? As for what to spray it depends on what you want. Lots of pollen, I'd spray the entire plant or at least all the flowering bits anyway. A little, I'd spray one branch only.

Fitzera that's awesome :) I'd like to see the effect 1:4 has on a few more strains, I'd love to find an optimum ratio for premium flower development. :) A nice balanced stick of balls, yeah? lol

^I would only spray a single branch. That way your entire plant isn't reversed and you can let it self pollinate also and not just have the other plant pollinated.

This way you have 2 sets of seeds in the end. One set of S1's from the self pollination and the other cross pollination between the 2 plants.

The breeder is Delicious Seeds.

I decided to spray the entire plant as I didn't hear back from you guys sooner. Today is 3 days after the first spray and I didn't see any changes yet. One plant is getting further into flowering and the other is currently having tiny purple buds appear.

I have planted 4 other seedlings in case these 2 fail to reverse. I have 3 1 weeks old seedlings and a 3 week out that has just show it's sex.

They are all Dark Puple Auto - Delicious Seeds.

My apologies, though nothing says I have to be here every day I've tried to do so. I've been spending 8-12hrs a day on school work so I'm doing what I can. :)

It's cool. I wasn't anticipating or expecting a speedy response. Just decided to go ahead without feedback. I was anxious (hurry) to start the project.

The strain is extremely resistant to reversing. I used 16 days colloidal silver without any change what so ever. So I decided to blast them with STS. 2nd dose will be Wednesday (5 days later). They are in 2nd week of flowering. Autoflowering.

I myself am in school. Tertiary/University. So time is limited here too. Good luck in your studies mate!

I have found it takes quite a bit longer than I anticipated for the plants to produce balls and for those balls to open. In the future I'd suggest spraying before the onset of flowering...with autos, make your best guess. I did it when I observed the stretch had begun, and I feel I could have been a bit earlier yet.

From my observation this round, I feel that the first application of 1:9 would have been suffice. The 1:4 application worked well, but the majority of balls didn't open/didnt drop much pollen. I ended up drying the balls and sifting the pollen out.

I think differing ratios would come down to the end goal of the grower. If its for mass pollen harvesting for future use, I feel a stiffer ratio is optimal. If the goal is to use the pollen during that grow, I feel a lighter ratio and earlier application would be best suited.

I've read the ethylene blocking ability lasts about 3 weeks, whether or not that is true i can't say. I'd like to find research that shows this. But with that in mind, and how long im finding it takes for the reversal to happen and balls to be mature and open, i feel 1 application prior to flowering, or possibly at the flip, would be ideal.

This plant is a Dark Puple Auto at 30 days old. It has shown female pre-flower pistols but hasn't begun the stretch. I may start spraying it in a week to see if I can change a branch instead of the entire plant.

Tell me something, if I change a branch, will I have enough time to pollinate another branch on the same tree and produce seeds? This is why I chose to reverse 2 entire plants because I was unsure of the timeline.

^Yes, you have time enough if you reverse a branch to pollinate the remaining of the plant and produce viable feminised seed.

Please read through this thread, I have posted dozens of pictures about my personal experience doing exactly this.

Cheers.

The older plants that were flowering have become thicker with more leaves after beginning STS spray. Their leaves have darkened and become perkier. I am using fox farms trio and feeding flowering mix. The pistils on the older plant, that was deeper into flowering, are now becoming brown and shrivelled. I think I am seeing pollen sacks forming but they look purple.

STS

Just made 1/10 the recipe and I still got 10 bottles (10ml).

It doesn't take a lot to make a lot.
Gonna have to unload them premixed.

Dont believe everything they tell you even if its someone like Robert C. Clark. sure you can make feminised seeds but they will all (99%) be hermi predominant. Ive ran multiple packs of feminised seeds from 3 reputable breeders who I am pretty sure tried this method and all turned out to be hermie proned garbage. no light leaks, did another run in the same room with regular and all turned out fine.

I stress test everything that is a candidate for feminization , I bred the vast majority , we have Grown as many as 56,000 female seeds per quarter with ZERO hermaphrodites and they all have Clone Like quality's many experiences growers assume they were Clones until told otherwise and many of our best and not true F-1's but Rather Elite x Elite Female clone x female clone .
And yes they behave much like f-1's I will attach some pics

With auto flower strains, is it harder to reverse AFTER flowering begins? My plants ignored 2 weeks of colloidal silver and then 2 weeks of STS. They are extraordinarily stable. I stressed tested the hell out of them prior to reversing and that batch never hermie.

I have planted 3 more seeds. They are about 2 weeks old. Will start spraying STS from the time I see the first pistils of pre flower.

I had an auto reveg after reversal. I sprayed, it dropped a lot of pollen, and I decided to see how long i could keep it alive. It was a sorry looking plant for sure, but it did revege after a couple months.

Someone said it wasn't a true 100% auto. I guess that's true since there really are no true autos other than Ruderalis.

I have noticed some changes this morning. The bud sites at the lowest branches of the older plant, which is 7 weeks old and 3 weeks into flowering, have some green formations. They look like pollen sacs. Budson this Purple Auto usually start growing purple. SO the green looks promising.

I began spraying 15 days ago and sprayed twice since then. Today on day 15 I was about to spray and made an observation.

Can someone eyeballs these photos and let me know?

I also took some shots of the buds at the top of the plant for reference.

If these are pollen sacks, should I stop spraying?
