Finally. Seed!

Finally. Seed!

Look what I got! Freaking awesome. Thank you the OP and everyone who'd helped.

I pollinated the same plant that was sprayed with STS. So awesome as I only used one plant. In order to make more seeds, I will be pollinating the sister clone with the pollen, hopefully still viable, I collected.

So we are balling...lots and lots of balls, with some starting to open...but no pollen dropping. I'll be pulling off the pods as they open and drying them for processing later to get the pollen.

In the future I'll be using the 1:9 ratio and only 2 applications. From what I've seen now doing it myself, I'm sure that's all I'll require. Less is more!

Thanks again DC, for this write up and thread!

I pulled a branch and squished opened a few sacks to see what's up....not a lot, but there is pollen. I am adding another light in the next few days as it has been under an old small LED.

Already flipped a clone (Legend OG is) as soon as it rooted to test the pollen on. This is a test...need to make sure I got it down pat before tying up a whole tent making seed.

Awesome news, thanks to all of you for sharing. The photos of how each strain is responding, along with the schedule and strength is priceless to the community. :)

When the pods are dried really well and then rubbed on a fine screen, you'll generally find quite a lot of pollen dropping out.

Just confirmed a female auto flower small thing about 8 inches. Have stock solution parts a n b all ready. Is the schedule still 3 applications spaced 1 day apart.

It's really going to depend on your genetics and situation. Some genetics seem to need less silver, others seem to need more. Personally, I spray every 7 days. If it looks like it's too much I dilute the solution a bit.
:)

Did I miss some autoflower specific testing someone posted? (very possible)

Good job, and looking forward to the results. :)

Thank you again to all of you who have helped make this thread a great resource for the Clarke published method. :D Even without all the extra great information you've supplied, the photos and success stories are just amazing to scroll through. So easy now for someone to go from clueless to "It works!" with very little hassle. :)

Welcome to week 3 so clearly the first 2 sprays have been successful. Pollen sacks are forming all over. I won't be applying the 3rd spray since I don't believe it's necessary she's hes covered in sacks none have opened. Built a male isolation chamber as to not waste any pollen.

Quick update so I'm seeing alot of pollen heads just fall down without even opening. No signs of pollen anywhere couple brown hairs on receiving lady. Haven't given up I'll allow the male to drop about 80 of pollen sacs and dry than I'll toss the lot into my pollen extractor and see if I can get any that way. Thinking with autos maybe only 1 application is necessary.

Appreciate the update, and I'll bet you get viable pollen after drying and screening. :) Each plant seems to have their optimum strength and spray schedule so far. I've had autos take 2 sprays and dump loads of pollen, and other autos have powered through with almost no pollen at all.

Again, another reason I prefer clones. heh

yet another great thread kudo's all, especially Douglas.Curtis by maintaining this thread.
Welcome to ICMag and thank you very much. :) I won't be around as much the next 9 weeks, but I'm still here. (I'm in a very rough class) :headbange

Guys could I ask you one advise regarding the right timing to pollinate with fresh pollen?
Is better to put first the reversed female on 12/12 light cycle and after 12-14 days introduce the normal females or is in a different way?

Thank you Douglas to have shared your experience about the STS, really appreciated

Glad I could help out. :)

In my experience, timing with fresh is indeed trickier and depends a lot on the genetics. Without a lot of information on the strain, I might suggest starting 2 clones at different times? This way you have a better chance of pollinating at the right time.

Timing depends on your goal as well. If you want a plant full of seeds I would start reversing one of your plants about a week after you've started the other plants to flower. The goal would be to have full pollination happening when the flowers are full of fat white pistils, and still at least 5 weeks from harvest.

If you wanted 'some' seeds and still some flowers, I would start them at the same time. This way you should get pollen just as the plant has a nice flush of initial pistils, yet still has a lot of flower development left to go. :)

Hope that helps. :D

As you said is how I did it, started sts on one clone 12/12, 7-12 days or so later, introduced clones of same plant, they all were full of seeds at the end. but the stain I was working with was a bit harder to flip, took 3 good sprays 5 days apart and then time.. I would say the clones were close to 3 weeks in flower before the sts plant started to really put out, I still collect pollen and freeze for another run someday..
