Deep Stoner Thoughts

I have heard from Germanian people that during the war they ate cats which tasted like rabbit. They would buy rabbit but it was really cat.

My granny told me cats were called roof rabbits in post war times. When someone wanted to sell u a skinned rabbit without head, paws and tail u got a cat. Think after 1950 that was not the case anymore.

I'm so glad I made the decision to move back to the country again 13 years ago..

You can't see my house from the clay road I live on and my house is in a half acre clearing surrounded by thick woods.
My nearest neighbor is a quarter mile away...

The city house I sold 13 years ago was on a postage stamp sized piece of land, 50 feet X 90 feet... I could spit and hit the neighbors house on each side of me.

I feel badly for you guys stuck in places like that right now, with all this virus quarantining going on right now...

At least I can go out my door, and walk a long ways without seeing another person...

If this stay-at-home stuff has to go on all through the summer, I guess I'll just sit around here and watch the grass grow....:dance013:

Put this one in the old guy trick category... turn on the hot sink spigot until it runs hot, then turn on the shower.

I'll hit some Indica before I shower in the evening. Hot water and Indica just mix well to me. A cold blast - wow, what a buzz kill that would be.

I agree with an earlier comment by Bud Green. Working from home normally and somewhat of a hermit, this stay at home business hasn't changed a whole lot of my normal day to day life. However, living in the sticks with a large property to roam around on is still pretty sweet. Not to mention it's pretty easy to keep my distance from the neighbors as none are too close.

Also, we can see the zombies coming from father away out here . . .

what obligation do we have to give personal information to a government that lies almost every time a federal official speaks ?

Contemplating my responses to the Census -

I'm a non-white person from Mongolia

born on the day of the JFK assassination

and I rent.

I can't believe the personal info they're asking. It is REALLY UN-WISE to answer their questions accurately. Almost all your personal data in one place, a total gold mine for those who mis-use personal data.

What are the chances the Census will be hacked ? Equifax was hacked.

started shooting at 300 yards.

Reloder 7 works good !! That's a kind of smokeless powder.

Learning to get the power of Factory ammo, without the recoil.

With some/most powders, a 168 grain bullet falls off the target at 300 yards.

Varget is good powder too. I hate to tell ya, but to get velocity the thing has to kick.

I bought a box of Hornady Superformance 308 150 grain, which is rated at 3000 feet per second and near 3000 foot pounds.

https://www.hornady.com/ammunition/rifle/308-win-150-gr-sst-superformance#!/

I would prefer to use that on a rifle with a heavier barrel.

Just to compare. The 308 can take 3 cc of powder, 3.1 if you use a flat-butt bullet. I use a 2.5 cc measure with faster burning powder, basically the fastest burning rifle powders from Alliant & IMR.

I figure that 1/2 cc of air space acts as a buffer of some kind.

There's a caliber that only has 2.5 cc of powder space, 308 Barnes 1.5. It would be interesting to see how the same powder works, without the extra air-space. I think it would over-pressure and damage the rifle.

It would be terrible to damage a 308 Barnes 1.5 !!!

One of the other powders I used is Benchmark, a full 2.4 Grams. That had noticeable more energy, and the bullet was "on the cardboard", down about 12 inches, and it had the most recoil of any load I shot today.

The Reloder 7 was much more mellow in terms of recoil, but shot higher on the target. Only down 5 inches or something.

Like Magic - this has been happening every time I shoot 308 the last few months. The Reloder 7 with the medium heavy bullets is just surprising.
