Being multicultural by birth I find it quite interesting, and since one of the most common multicultural expressions in the melting pot I live in is food I am willing to bet that many people enjoy multiculturalism as much as I do.

The differences I speak of are a biological reality, the way they are dealt with is the cultural reality and that is malleable.

I get the whole, how nice would it be to live in a world where there are no ironies.

John Water's movie "pecker" was made to do just that. So I really do appreciate the concept, and I think that in small, like minded communities a mantra like that can work, I participate in some. Now as much as I live my life as all people are equal, that is in humanitarian value and potential to effect humanity, it does not mean people who possess that value and potential understand it or care if they do.

Some people are that enlightened and that intelligent to know exactly how human nature works and exploit that for their own personal gain. This is the dark horse that is rarely discussed but that is also because it regards highly functioning and powerful psyco/sociopaths.

If this were about school, medicine, education, housing, transportation, politics or another public service of like kind the conversation would be different.

DiBlasio and his ilk live in a world without immediate feedback mechanisms.
