What I do not get is why they are not sharing more information, like addresses, where they people have been recently, the stores they visited, if they smoke, (would be nice to know if they smoke cannabis), age, illnesses, how many in family or others got infected from them, etc..

You're right. Masks won't keep you from getting it.

But they will trap the airborne particles coming out of your mouth and that can help slow down the infection rate.

It doesn't need to be a n95. Hell, a simple t-shirt around your nose and mouth will knock 50% of airborne particles down. Change that to an actual mask, and you knock down 60-70%. Combine the two, and you get 90% of it.

And 90% is a hell of a lot more trapped than 0%.

It is quite simple. Yesterday, people got mad, about quarantine, then, a lot of them accepted that it is needed. Today everyone freaks again, cos now masks are recommend, that IS exactly the same problem. Nobody learned anything from the situation, so just say, tomorrow, hell breaks loose...

last week death toll increased 6 and change, this week it's on course to increase 5 and change.

part of that kind of exponential growth is that the total death toll last Sunday - 2500 - will become the daily death toll in about ten days, i.e. next Tuesday Wednesday.

it is a tidal wave almost literally.
