yes...there is a separate court that deals with vaccination injury's..

The Office of Special Masters of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, popularly known as "vaccine court", administers a no-fault system for litigating vaccine injury claims

The Office of Special Masters of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, popularly known as "vaccine court", administers a no-fault system for litigating vaccine injury claims. These claims against vaccine manufacturers cannot normally be filed in state or federal civil courts, but instead must be heard in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, sitting without a jury.

The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP or NVICP) was established by the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA), passed by the United States Congress in response to a threat to the vaccine supply due to a 1980s scare over the DPT vaccine. Despite the belief of most public health officials that claims of side effects were unfounded, large jury awards had been given to some plaintiffs, most DPT vaccine makers had ceased production, and officials feared the loss of herd immunity

For some reason I am reminded of the Peter Principle which states that every person in the fullness of time, rises to their own level of incompetence.

Returning to pandemic musings, I heartily agree that every man should be free to choose the manner of their own demise, be that mundane or spectacular. When it comes time for me to explore the concept of life after death, I am looking at taking a graceful and elaborate swan dive off a busy freeway overpass, as my chosen point of transition to immortality, or to my new role as worm bait, whichever is applicable.

swan dive? NO one does a gainer...:D

seems like we are seeing the Thanksgiving Surge.

In our family, Thanksgiving was always a secondary holiday to Christmas.

People within driving distance drove for Thanksgiving.

people within Flying distance would do that for Christmas, so they and the driving distance family members would all show up at Christmas.

Except of course there are in-laws, so there gatherings would siphon off family members at Christmas.

Are family gatherings in the US bigger at Thanksgiving or Christmas ?

Does it really matter?

I have been mapping what the F is going on here in Canada, but again in the US. I must admit that I am not familiar with other holidays. That being said... every time we had a long WE, or an EVENT, (in the US), 2 weeks later... it shows up as a spike. Yet people refuse to believe, they are participants in the spread. At the end of the day, I am just like the rest of you! ...Tired!

Second allergic reaction in Alaska hospital

A second care worker at a hospital in Alaska has developed an allergic reaction to the Pfizer vaccine. The New York Times reports that. The symptoms are not too bad. The first person reported on Wednesday had to stay in the hospital longer than previously thought. Yet there is little cause for concern, the hospital emphasizes.

The primary care worker, a middle-aged woman, developed an anaphylactic reaction 10 minutes after vaccination, developed a rash on the face and trunk, became short of breath, and had an increased heart rate. After treatment she got better, but her symptoms kept returning. At some point she was transferred to intensive care.

The woman, although it was previously reported that she was feeling well, also had to stay in the hospital last night. She had no history of allergies.

Dr. Paul Offit, a vaccine expert and adviser to the FDA on vaccine authorization, emphasizes that previous precautions have helped. Vaccines must stay 15 minutes longer. As a result, this woman could immediately receive the right medicines. "I don't think we should pause the vaccine rollout," said Offit. "Certainly not." The researchers have to find out 'which component causes the reaction'. Pfizer says it is working with local authorities and does not yet have all the details.

In the second patient, the symptoms disappeared after an hour. Health authorities stress that the allergic reactions are not a cause for concern. Individual cases are reported for the sake of transparency. Both 'victims' themselves also want to emphasize that their experiences should not be a reason to stop the vaccination, according to the hospital.

Debate
The allergic reactions, although very rare, are a cause for debate in scientific circles. Earlier, the FDA and the UK health authorities indicated that people with certain extreme allergic complaints should not take the Pfizer vaccine. There was no reason for this in the Netherlands. It is emphatically not about people with hay fever.

PHARMACY28-year-old volunteer in AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine trial dies The trial has not been paused as the volunteer did not receive the COVID-19 vaccine but was part of the control group.

A volunteer in AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine trial has died, according to Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency Anvisa, and reported by Reuters.

The volunteer was a 28-year-old physician who treated coronavirus patients in Rio de Janeiro, according to The Washington Post, citing Brazilian newspaper O Globo as its source.

The volunteer did not receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but was in the control group. Half the people in the clinical trial received the experimental vaccine, and the other half received an established meningitis vaccine. The volunteer is believed to have received the meningitis vaccine. The cause of death has not been released.

A bit risky to join a test group since as it shows above the placebo is not really a placebo as a physiological saline shot, but just another vaccine. They started with this i think in 2009 after approval of the EMEA for testing the Mexican flu vaccine that the placebo group got another vaccine (hepatitis B) instead of just a saline shot.
