the warrant they had didn't allow them to "kick in the door", they knocked and since someone answered the door the warrant allowed them entry. same as has happened to many others in aurora over the past 18+ months

Thank you. I'd forgotten just how special Aurora can be. They've always had the law enforcement equivalent of penis envy- they wish they were real Denver cops.

When they finally fuck with somebody who can fight back, that bullshit will come to an end.

Maybe I should have said "fight it in court..."

:yeahthats:
well it SEEMS that some kind of cooperation between DA / code enforcement / law enforcement (including MED) and perhaps courts in arapahoe county & aurora constitute that all mighty "will to prosecute" that seems to be also peeking out in park county (they are instituting a 35 plant count on all grows in the county, trying to at least).

i wish it were just pig penis envy (duno what would be so classy about the denver cops as to be enviable.... but wtf do i know about police hierarchy)
on the other hand, i think the trend right now among lawmakers at both state and local levels is increasing levels of restrictions, and the only thing that makes those restrictions real to people is... "teeth".
"will to prosecute" = "teeth"

They're getting greedy over tax revenues. It gives them excuses to go after caregivers & all MMJ growers. In that respect, the stiff dicks have actually gained a few allies.

Aurora resisted MMJ & retail all along, finally succumbed. Now that they're in the business, they don't want any competition.

Never spent much time in Aurora, other than working swing shift at the RTD bus barn out there long ago. Never liked it. Never understood the place. It's like Chinatown to me.

One of our problems, I think, is that small growers have been left behind because of the high price of entry into the retail market. The legislature seems to have wood for traditional MMJ caregiver growers, but they can really only take that just so far. The little guy can still make some legal cash, if not like before.

If anything, A64 has made growing safer for everybody, even those who don't play by the rules at all.

A64 has made things safer every one in general, but I feel that the state hasn't implemented it they way they should have. The Tax and Regulate Marijuana like alcohol hasn't happened like it should. I don't do the bar/drinking thing, I WANT to have a place that I can go and hang out with other Cannabis smokers, a cannabis bar, or some kind of Amsterdam style coffee shop. I don't want to have a "public" place to smoke that is at the bar's tobacco smoking area.

I remember when the MMJ registry started the yearly fee was like $150 (or maybe it was $200, my memory is a little foggy) and now it's $35 a year.

I wish they would stop using plant limits to restrict grows, I can grow one plant in a 4x4 space, or I could grow 9, 16, 25, or even 36 plants in that same space.

I think there should be some kind of a farmers market too for cannabis. But the state would need to have some regulations so that people are not bringing stuff that has all kinds of chemicals and pesticides on it.

you dont need the state, just have a gcms analyzer or lease one from steep hill. @5k a month .. i thnk. then any one who wants to participate, has to have said product/batch tested before any donations are made. i know of some places still accepting donations.(worked something with the city they are in)
If you wanted to sell @ said farmers market, then the state would want to be involved bc of the money transactions. maybe one license for entire farmer's market and when product is brought in its tested then approved, pay the state tax first, then it can be sold at the market front point of sales.
just a thought.

personally i would love this bc we all could smoke alot of different strains for helluva alot cheaper.:dance013::woohoo:

More regulations less freedom. There should be a pot farmers market. What pesticides they use shouldn't be regulatd but if they do choose they should pursue a usda certification of their own accord. Because that doesn't yet exist for pot, we need to have something similar.

We're in a transition to sanity & that transition will take some time, particularly in places less sane to begin with. It'd be nice if cannabis were treated like any other crop but that's some distance in the future, I think. The authorities are still trying to treat it as something dangerous, like dynamite.

CO legalization is obviously imperfect while being infinitely better than anything else atm. At least it's honest- no exams, no fees, no cards, no registration, no games & no bullshit if you just want to grow your own. Just get your shit together & do it.

If they didn't limit plant counts then they'd want to limit growers' possession limits. While it means you can't legally do everything you want it also means you can grow big a la Gettogro.

At least it's not as silly as Oregon, where you can grow 4 plants (even outdoors) but only possess half a pound. I recently harvested over a pound grown under a 1000w lamp. With some improvements, I could readily do that 3x per year. Our stash, samples of what I've grown over the last 2.5 years, is probably half a pound. It's all CO legal, too, every trichome.

I refuse to sell any of it. That avoids complications. Just being able to grow it, use it, keep it & give it away legally, hassle free, is more than I thought we'd have in my lifetime. People do flip out when I just give them half an ounce or so, rattles their headsets a little, in a good way. I suppose I'll find out who my real friends are if I ever need to call in my markers.

MrTea- I heard that story on npr - take a pic if u can!

Howdy all! I haven't posted in years, & have relocated a couple times since i picked my screen name, currently kickin it on the front range & hoping to reside in CO for all the rest of my evers. :) Not growing anything yet but hope to make a trip back to the desert to fetch my hardware... I have a cool little stealth gun cabinet that's perfect for an apartment which is my current situation. Presently daydreaming about owning my own home again, building an automated greenhouse w/ supplemental lighting & light deprevation and trying to grow some frustrating landrace sativas. Sitting on a whole bunch of haze crosses, a few african beans and... hoping that the bag of seeds from a couple elbows of chocolate thai i got in the early 90's shows up somewhere in my junk. Can't imagine I tossed 'em, but haven't seen them forever. (My stuff is currently spread across a few states, gets confusing...)

Well it looks as if Denver has gone and quarantining hundreds of marijuana products because their labels listed pesticides not approved for use on cannabis. What is the pesticide this time, spinosad. I can understand something like Eagle 20.

State law says "it is unlawful for someone to use pesticides in a manner inconsistent with labeling directions or requirements," said Mitch Yergert, director of the Colorado Department of Agriculture's division of plant industry.
Under that statement I could see them going after every one that uses anything, because there are no products out there that have been approved for use on cannabis, or have instructions for the use on cannabis.

What the fuck? Spinosad is a biological control that is OMRI certified. What do they want to us to do with certain pests, keep telling shitty jokes in the hopes that they'll get tired of us and leave? :moon: You got any more info about that Ganoderma?
