I don't see it that way at all. The politicos realize that they're stuck with A64 for the foreseeable future. They want the money, so that means they want it to work. If the Feds show up & shut down retail, they lose it. There's no way for them to shut down personal growing unless the public is willing to fund them at the level of the Gestapo, which is highly unlikely.
With that in mind, I think we'll see marijuana education programs being a lot softer & more truthful than the reefer madness propaganda of the past. Now that it's a legal tax revenue generator, one they want to keep, they'll have to approach it more the way they do with alcohol education.
It's highly beneficial for people to understand what they're getting into wrt edibles, for example, and it's always better when everybody understands the rules. Not everybody understands, for example, the rules in state parks & on federal lands or the potential consequences in neighboring state if tourists want to treat it as take-out. The possibilities of sleazy rat shit involving border town snitches & neighboring state troopers are endless. Taking a quarter oz of BHO home to Oklahoma City could turn out very poorly.
None of this spending is written in stone- it's all adjustable down the road. It's all new revenue, anyway, and we can well afford to throw the hand-wringers a bone to allay their fears, keep them from getting all up in arms. This isn't just about stoners but about everybody else as well.

Tried some of the Petrolia Headstash out of the dep a few days dry and liked it. Not much fragrance in the buds or flavor yet high type immediately said old and brought me back many years. Clear and on the up side. They're 10 year old seeds so should hope so

With the number of producers entering the market place, we'll arrive at saturation rather shortly. No matter what, the Colorado market is only just so big, even with tourists. For people who are well capitalized & really know what they're doing, there's plenty of margin even when sales aren't as anticipated. When competitive price cutting starts, ineffective producers will have trouble keeping the doors open & will try to find ways to do that, like finagling diversion of production outside the State. That's part of the reason that the State wants to track every bit of it, to keep the feds happy. The State already bought into it- they want the tax money. Keeping the Feds happy is doing what we said we'd do- keeping it in-state at that level. Tourist level smuggling is obviously expected behavior & reluctantly acceptable to the Feds, otherwise we wouldn't be here. That's unavoidable.

People will ultimately need to care about the weed that they are growing. That care and attention shows up in the end product. Generic warehouse hydro weed will likely be the standard. It's not bad but the cannoisseur small batch stuff will always have a place. Find your niche and embrace it.

I couldn't agree more, which is why my level of organics makes me look like I spent today rubbing my body with crystals, dancing to Fleetwood Mac, writing poetry about rain drops and braiding my leg hair to form rope which I then use to construct dream catchers to sell at the local commune shop that only accepts happy thoughts in exchange for goods....
But... in all reality I'm closer to a redneck... I just like the clean flavors I get with my insect army and no bottles.

Metro Denver? I'd honestly say to stick to the City & County of Denver proper & avoid situations with HOA's. They can get goofy out in the 'burbs, try to pretend they're something that they're not. They recently turned goofy in Golden, for example.
We love our old Baker neighborhood, but it's become stupid expensive.

Here's a Mikado ready to come down from the early season light dep selection. Not a great yielder and best of the phenos from beans. This is an older varietal which was very popular in Cali some years back and looking forward to a taste it again. It did not make the cut for placement in the full term outdoor section. Definitely a little headstash to enjoy...

Heard there is a place out near Grand Junction doing something similar. Because of only the 2 dispenseries grandfathered in and laws out near grand Junction.
This had me rolling. lol.
Has already hit saturation. Prices have come down according to wholesale prices last week. Went down around 22-2K. And it's early. When greenhouses start rockin the price will drop out. You won't be able to grow indoors and make a profit w/ the cost of electric.
