truly my pleasure...ill be retired from growing cannabis within the year and i wont be maintaining any threads or feeds after that as id rather have nothing to do with the new industry, so its nice to leave something behind for the next generation to build upon, even if most are unappreciative of it...as when I see how many people this thread has helped, it makes It worth it...unfortunately in this day and age most people would rather sell info than share it, this is the characteristic of someone who really isn't to skilled at growing in the first place , or else they wouldn't need to prostitute info...those that are good at growing make enough off of that to not need to sell anything else, like t shirts and how to guides, or bunk ass genetics ...ive tried to stay true to the overgrow roots of over growing the government and free knowledge...it seems that I may be one of the very few that has stayed true to that as most have just switched to growing FOR the government for a steady paycheck and bragging rights on hundred light warehouse grows they see pennies from...and do nothing to give back to community.....ill cut my own hand off before I sell out like that...many have said I didn't live up to my potential because I haven't teamed up with millionaires to do some huge grows and build a brand for myself...but that's not why I got into this in the first place..i do it to feed my family, not my ego or some investors check book....I truly appreciate everyone in this thread that shows support and love for what ive shared

man reading this thread and others such as the rockwool thread you had is actually inspiring. it makes me and others aspire to be better growers. especially in a job/hobby that can sometimes be very repetitive its nice to come to a thread like this and come away with new ideas to work with or to look at things with different perspective.
im definitely not alone in being thankful and appreciative to what you have tried to give back to the coco growers community here.:tiphat:

PASSIVE EXHAUST ?

PASSIVE EXHAUST ?

Hoping someone can give some opinions and understanding of the passive exhaust ?
someone posted one benefit is that by having a positive pressure room is a benefit for mold spore and insects ?

Im wondering how much an issue smell could be ?

Anyone running or have ran possitive pressure rooms ?

Im currently setting up a room with passive intake just because thats how i have always done it !

I have ran possitive pressure in vented hoods due to neg pressure hoods could cause smell ?

This is a legal room but it doest hurt to be stealthy these days either way.

He runs a passive exhaust with the rest of the room totally sealed. Then hook up a carbon filter to the exhaust n u should have odor control depending on how good ur room is sealed. Wouldn't hurt to run carbon filters as scrubbers in the room too.

Smell will be an issue if you don't hook up the filter. I run 2 tents in a lung room. Mostly positive pressure. Exhaust (no filter) clears the room every couple hours. I use high airflow negative pressure in my tents with filters. And they blow into the lung room and mix with the outside air. No smell in lung or in house. But idk if you are running a lung or not.

Awesome thread djm! I got a questions for you. Ive strickly ran promix and wanted to give coco a try. Ive always grown big plants in 25 and 30g pots so i decided on 15g with a 70/30 mix. Im Feeding every other day and just just flipped them to flower. Can i multi feed such a big pot or should i just feed once a day? Also do you guys give them water only feeds or is it nutes all the time? Cheers

Going to switch to 7 gal pots and been contemplating of filling up my 10 gal pots 3/4 or so to accommodate 7 gal instead of buying them.
I believe the 10 gal pots are wider than 7,and i"ve read somewhere that wider pots make wider plants, what do you guys think?

Try a 3gl of pure coco instead of a 15gl. Build a strong root system by giving it solid dry/wet cycles with more runoff as the plant grows. Once it's eating twice a day, put it on the drip system, and bam. You'll have a pound plant in no time.

I get 2 per in promix 25 gallon with my big yielders, lookin to get similar yields in coco. I got low plant counts so gotta grow them big. Would a 10gallon get those yields, feeding once per day?

How many plants per light are you doing? Ive done 2 pound plants in 10 gals in coco/perlite mix. You want to be feeding alot more than once per day to get the most out of coco or coco/perlite mixes.

Ya go ahead and use 10's just dont fill them up all the way if you dont want. Width doesnt make a difference, the wider the pot tho the more stable obviously.

Anything bigger then 5 is over kill in coco... 1lb plants are easily obtainable in 5 gal even 3s.. if u want to water once a day this is not for you... the whole benefit of coco n smaller pots come with the multiple feedings... if u want to do large pots once a day feeds I would go dirty n not bother coco... they will work but you won't see many benefits coco can provide ...
