DJM nice to see you still around, nice update! That grow looks awesome!

I have read this thread twice already, and keep reading from time to time since my next run is a way smaller scale of what you do.

The plan, 6x 3gal smart pots, 100% coco, 2 part nutes no boosters using blumats

Do you think vegging for 60-70 days in 3gal, once moved to flower under 600-750hps I might be able to get plants to produce 150-200gr each?

I have a 5x5x7 tent, and a maximum by law of 6 plants. Should I stick to the 3 gal pots, or it can be done with 2 gal pots?

Any tips are appreciated

It can be done in 2s but will be hella easier in 3s.... in coco its a known fact that potsize does not dictate plant size n yield like soil but potsize to plant size does factor in in coco as far as maitence n repairs... larger plant smaller pot = more frequent waterings... somthing goes wrong clogged drippers empty blumats it dies befor the same plant... ur grow is small its not like ur gonna need hella extra bags of coco... id def go with the 3s

Hi DMJ, I have ran a run of high temp & rh. I ran it around 82° and 70% RH. It was my largest run yet, 2.5 / 1kw. Same hoods / bulbs you run in the same size smart pot. I have been experimenting running dryer and colder lately. My reason being that I feel I have experienced higher quality in dryer runs, however they cannot compare with the weight of the high temp & rh. Have you experienced a similar correlation? This next run I'm getting ready to flip I am playing around with the idea of initially running high temp & humidity. Then tapering down the humidity and temperature (going from 82°/70% RH to 70°/40% RH) once the breadth of the flowers are formed (around day 41 on a 56 finisher) in order to theoretically increase resin, terp and trich production in the end. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this theory.
Thank you

same experience here too. thc content was lower than usual per test results. not necessarily thinking its correlated to the humidity but i am definitely wondering. it was my first thought actually. i am thinking of dropping lower towards the finish line. last two weeks maybe. anyone have any thoughts on the humidity thc correlation theories.
while it did strike me as a possibility im also not convinced because its also the happiest my plants have ever seemed.

hmmmmm

bad ass

thanks man..cloning tech posted above...im a firm believer in VPD, its a game changer in any room..i wont try to convince people on it, so please no one come in and try to tell me im crazy, as I assure you this is not my first rodeo...I run 84f and 75% rh through the whole grow, 70f- 74f and 65-70% at night...its hot and wet..glasses fog up when you enter...only the last week of flush will I drop it to 75f and 65rh ...during veg I run it even higher around 86-88 and 80%rh

I don't hold onto veg nutes through stretch unless Im either running a haze that stretches 3x + or im running 6/9...unless its a very stretchy cut, it can hurt yield

hope that helps

Heres what djm said earlier in the thread. I am under the impression that my results are less greasy and less aromatic with the higher temp/rh. I think its definitely worth exploring reducing the temp/rh to keep smell and thc at maximum levels. I think the terpene loss with higher temp/rh is quite evident.

the thing is my plants were super happy. so im not convinced it would be resposible for the level of drop i experienced. but it is interesting to hear others saying this but if it was something else causing it in my set up i wouldnt know and would of course look at this change i made.

in all fairness my observations are not in a void of other factors. that said, it was a 45% drop in total thc. seriously. so i think it would be safe to say it was either another factor or a mistake at the lab. the lab is actually one of the more reputable labs and has a good track record with replicable reliable results.

If u dont mind me asking, did u up ur plant numbers?

I did up the plant numbers. I went from 5 plants under 2kw to 8 plants under 2kw. But, I really didn't do a side by side comparison of high temp & rh to low temp and rh, the two runs were very different.

Last 3 runs I've been experimenting with tapering off high temps and rh at different points in the flower cycle. I now begin to drop temps and Rh gradually during the last 3 weeks, or the ripening stage of flower, after the bulk of the flowers are formed..by the last 7 days im now down to 70f and 60%, sometimes even 65 and 60 to bring out more color...pretty much drop temps and rh 5 degrees\5 % each week till harvest..so you guys were on the right track...looks like I'm not needed here anymore :) which is good because I can't answer every question and good growers will always figure things out on thier own. Trial and error is your friend
