Cinderella 99 The Come Back

I want them to reach full potential so I'll wait. They are growing very fast, the larger 2 about 40 inches and the smaller 2 about 30 inches, I'm glad they are evening out to one size. Four feet high would be the limit as I've got about 8.5 feet to the light from the container. Today is day 21and I keep raising the lights. Despite Ed Rosenthal's book saying maxing out co2 and temp to 85 degrees is optimal, I'm finding if I keep it below 80 degrees, floating between 75 and 80 per a.c. cycle, the leaves no loner slightly curl inward and now look perfect. bman707

If they will stretch 2x, I could let them go as tall as 4 ft., as I have 9 feet from the container to the light in upper position. Some speak of using liquid Karma, does anyone get nitrogen toxicity from it? Any suggestions on nutrients for the last 4 weeks of veg? They don't t seem to use much. And, how would I know if the ceramic Halides are hung too high, I'm reading between 25 and 35,000 lux, I believe that doesn't include the light from the 5 led strips. Thanks. bman707

If they go 3-4 times as Rolland the Head says, then I should think about flipping soon? I do understand that I am getting a wide range of estimates, some say will only stretch 1/2 the size from the flip, while others say there's have gone 3-4 times the size. As it appears there may be at least 2 different phenoms here, I may just have to wing it and split the difference, flipping in a week or so, when the largest are over 30 inches, they may end up huge, or not. I do understand that the wide variation of size estimates may come different phenoms of the plant. Thanks for the input, everyone. bman707

Mine havent quite doubled in height. I'm running the Cinderella XX. For them I'd say expect double in height.

How big are your pots? I'd think an 8 foot plant would require a large root mass, and high intensity light to be able to penetrate that deep. That seems like way too much to deal with indoor.

The seed bank name on my invoice is Female Seeds. I am in 10 gal pots. Planning to flip on Sunday, 27 days, as 2 are getting quite large and all are covered in pre- flowers. LT, do you get nitrogen toxicity using Liquid Karma on this strain? And, are serrated leaves normal for C99? Thanks.bman707

Another run of my keeper cut of brothers Grimm c99. Finished and harvested at day 48 of bloom.

I don't know why but your pics don't let me zoom in....

When you get to 50 posts (not all in here please!!!!) you can private message all you want.

LK should not cause Nitrogen Toxicity by itself IME. What is your soil mix? What is your nutrient feeding schedule? What are you feeding?

Is that from the Current New C99 stock or the originals?

Looks great!

It's from the re-release. Unfeminized seeds. I picked them up about a month after they were available online. The pheno pictures above has a very clear headed high that is energetic, euphoric, and can get racy depending on how much you smoke. Great for getting things done while elevated.

Hmmm - maybe Soul still does have Princess and it's just the male he used is producing offspring that is more like the male, forcing growers to grow out more seeds to get a female like the original. FrozenFire - that looks quite a bit like the original grapefruit clone that I had and it finished similarly fast - only the structure of the bud is different (more elongated).

I'm pretty sure the new male is the source of the purple highlights. I've grown this particular cut 4 or 5 times now. Always the same fast finish. Smell wise its sweet citrus fruit while growing and freshly dried. Now cured on the other hand, I've had it do some fun stuff. I do my best with curing, but it's an art I'm still trying to master to my liking. C99 has cured from beautiful sweet citrus to smelling like a rotten diaper (happened the second time I grew it). Most of the time it's a sweet citrus. Smokes super smooth as long as you dont over fertilize her. I've been tinkering with pushing how much I can underfeed plants and still get a good harvest. This time around these girls were fading hard by week 6 and by the time I harvested them they were almost 100% faded yellow leaves with some purple highlights on the sugar leaves. There is a noticeable improvement in smoothness when smoked. I'm guessing it's coming from the lack of green (chlorophyll)? I can post more pics of manicured buds once they finish the initial drying. Pics of the concentrates can be posted as well if anyone wants to see how that turns out. I've got one more c99 that's yet to be harvested. I'm going to cut her down tomorrow possibly. I want to see how the extra maturity changes the effects on her. Oh and I pollenated one of the c99 with my copper chem f2 male (he reeked of lines and skunk ass, had visable tricomes, and purple highlights on his pollen sacks), I've got seeds from that cross and will be growing them out this summer.

My old P88 keeper was a mix between Hawaiian Punch fruitiness and rotten baby diaper

I asked because she looks like my #4 compared to the purple ones I had.

As for the differences in the new release vs the originals, my first thought was that the difference was due to the large male he chose.

It is non sense that at this point if he did have Princess that he wouldn't do testing of as many males he has left. If he really has seed stock of the originals which he posted on IG but not sure they are still there.

UPDATE:

FDM C99 #1 is at 12 days bloom and looking more sativa than the rest in veg.

FDM C99 #2 is at 2 days 12/12 I chose the next biggest specimen a bit wider leaf structure. The 2 short ones with fatter leaves are squat and need more time but the 2 on are all topped.

All are in Peat/Perlite 80/20 feeding PBP, screw Maxibloom (1 batch test tasted like SHIITE!).

I will post pics once some real flowering kicks in.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Agreed. Unless he was working it way before he announced the comeback, he didn't have enough time to test the males.

what pissed me off is that he personally "promised" me ...

what pissed me off is that he personally "promised" me ...

that they would be "identical" to the original ...got my hopes up to the stratosphere & i snatched them up as soon as they were re-released in 2016 ...it was a $ales pitch >>> i trusted him and was extremely let down

anybody else have pics of the original F1 ??

these are pics from the original F1 C99 i bought from him all the way back in 1997 (they were a literal tropical fruit bowl of flavor & aroma , pineapple being just one , but it became the most well known...) >>>

I think the new version of C99 came out so "indica" because the male they used seem to be quite indica-leaning.
These photos were posted on Bro Grimm's Insta(?) around the time the new line was released.
I remember Soul writing about this male that it was specifically chosen cause it had tight internodes.
...but did he test the seeds before he released them and sold them for 100+ dollars per pack?? LOL "Yea it's the same as the old version ". Class act and a great breeder for sure.
