Thanks for the honesty. Can you please elaborate on this? How much is it putting out, and how was the measurement made? Seems like reports so far on the 860 have all been generally disappointing (regardless of the ballast used).but now I have learned more information about DNA that Phillips has tested that ballast and Its not putting out what they claim.
I am pretty sure the 315Ws require the special ballast, right?Has anyone explored using them in triples on a 1k mag ballast?
Here's my (2) 315w Elite Agro lamps in a 4x4 tent. I'm only planning to use 3x4 of the tent. Temps running 82*F lights on in the canopy, 63*F night. Lamps are 14-18" above canopy. Plants are vegging well.
is anyone besides advanced offering these pkg'd w/ballast and hood?
If purchasing this from Advanced Tech: http://advancedtechlighting.com/cdmmw.htm
Can it safely be run in a traditional hood? Also, can the ballast they include be used with a non-mogul 315w and who sells a hood for the 315w?
Where did you get those? What ballasts are you using etc.?
Does the PGZ18 base have any advantage over the mogul base? It seems as though there are better reflectors available that take advantage of the PGZ18 form factor. Are you using that bell lighting reflector with a PGZ18 socket and bulb?
