as much i loved tobacco as you know BOG from some of my reply's way back in this thread.
i had not had a cigarette since Easter Day this year.
yes this is for real and i have not done this for anybody or anything.
i start smoking when i was 18 years old . i remember quitting once for a year. but then i was back to normal
smoking pack a day. i love tobacco but i realize one thing , i only love it when i smoke it. i know that it is a nice rush ,evan when only minor. but the bottom line is the stuff is unhealthy and being a everyday pot smoker iam really pushing my luck.
i still believe its not the tobacco that will kill you its your own actions you take in life. we all love the things that make us fill good. if i was not a big pot smoker i dont thing i even think about quitting. but this is what i do , i smoke tons of bud and fallow by a cigarette. no more!! this is my life and iam in charge.i do think you may have trigger this move i took in me. so i want to thank you for your work and everything you do BOG.

haha
this is not evan the best news. the best news is that when a told my mother who lives in poland that i had quit.
she has ben smoker for 30 years , and guess what ? she told me last month, after i quit that she did too. she dont take it as ease as i am but she is holding on. i still need to tell her of this thread and were it all started. she may want to thank you too.

peace

What you give...

What you give...

When I was a child I didn't understand how it could be nearly as good to give as to receive. As babies we just want and need but we aren't babies anymore now are we?

When you realize the truth of karmic priniciples giving becomes self serving. I don't mean monetarily or in good will from those to whom you give either. I mean you get back 10 times what you give and that is just the fact.

I don't wanna die thinking that I am a greedy pig so I share. Being nice is what it's all about. Love is the answer. BOG

I see a lot of giving people who believe in Love around here...

I know how hard it can be to stop smoking. I recently quit smoking March this year after having smoked for 21 years ( quit cold turkey).
For you people trying to stop, I salute you and wish you he best, and hope you don't give up.

Remember my 3 doors?

Remember my 3 doors?

Addiction is a simple thing really. You tend to want what you don't have for a while but the 3 doors are real. Not imaginary things at all but real mileposts on the journey.

After 3 days it ain't so bad but the urges still hit you often. After 3 weeks you feel only slight pangs less frequently and after 3 months all physical urges have left. All that remains is a memory and you really are safe after that unless you get wasted.

If you get wasted you lose all your inhibitions. With alcohol this is true so no wonder it was once banned with a prohibition similar to pot now. Strange isn't it?

Pot is so harmless relatively to tobacco and alcohol and yet the most dangerous ones are legal. Go figure.

Just say this to yourselves..."If I have good weed I can live without tobacco" :). If you ever fallback you will have to journey through the 3 doors again but it isn't so bad really. I have made the trip about 20 times now and the last 11 years has been pretty good overall.

In 11 years I will ask you if you have been good most of the time. :) Love you all... BOG

I started smoking when I was 9 yrs old. I am 51 now. It was my job to steal the smokes for our crew. I quit finally 4 or 5 yrs ago. I quit before, but my wife would smokearound me constantly, and that was all I needed for am excuse. I went to cigars and than back to smokes again. I quit finally and took my wife to get hypnotized so I could catch a break.

it cost me $100 to get her hypnotized. Funny thing. I listened to this guy and he was full of Sh**. But my wife BELIEVED him and she quit right then and there. Amazing. I paid him extra to do the weight loss thing also. He did weight loss too but she did NOT believe him on that one. She loves ice cream too much for that to hold.

The one thing I noticed he said that did make perfect sense is, people smoke to relax. The first drag of a cigarette is a long deep drag. it was not the nicotine that relaxed you, it was the long deep breath of (sic) fresh air. His words not mine!

This guy says if you just take a long deep breath before you light your cigarette the urge to smoke to relax will go away immediately, for at least 20 minutes. It works. Try it.

I have done this to my self and others berfore I quit smoking. Now I just do it to people that are getting ready to light a cigarette.

It makes folks mad when you tell them to take a deep breath before lighting the cigarett, because the urge to smoke dwindles quickly, and they want the cigarette. try it the next time you want to smoke, but not after you smoked a doobie, Not fair. You know the difference, Like smoking with a drink in your hand. Right BOG?

BTW, I can get falling down drunk and never even desire a cigarette. I went cold turkey. I also went to my local GNC store and purchased a cleansing agent, and an anti-addiction compound. They have both.

Good luck to all you gonna be no more smokers!

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, like the roar of the lion.
