hey man. thx for your answer. i guess its just the way of smoking over here ...

hope you dont mind a few questions. so you roll pure Js, with normal paper (like raw, ocb, smoking) and cardboard tips?

I'll go.
I only roll pure joints. I have never rolled a blunt or mixed in anything other hash/keif/oil.

I can not remember what kind of hemp parers I use. I used to use Clubs. I love tips. I just bought a metal thing shaped like a cone to make pre rolled papers. I can roll a good cone by hand, but why not?

how much do you use for 1 J? must be 0,5g + to actually get the J filled nicely ...

does it burn evenly? arent you getting really high after smoking a J alone?

peace :)

Use a grinder if you are worried about burn. Mine burn perfectly and don't go out unless you let them.

I can roll a pinner to a huge "Camberwell Carrot."

You can get a rolling machine if you want.

Here is the opinion part:

I do not think joints get you that high. For me, if I smoke a 1 gram joint myself, I will be high and for a long time. But if I smoked a half gram through a bong, I will be much higher, but not for as long.

You are not going to get as high smoking a pure joint. Tobacco adds something.

If you drink a beer with a shot in it, you are going to get drunker than without the shot.

Personally, my weed is way too good to mix with some crappy tobacco.

I typically use about 1/2 gram and use 1 1/4 Zig Zags. The orange package. I've been rolling for years and use a grinder most of the time so I very rarely have a runner when burning them. A cig roller works great for those that can't roll very well by hand. I used to use one years ago but I got tired of the thing getting gummed up and breaking so I sat down with a pile of cannabis and a pack of papers and learned.

If I smoke a full J I do get pretty toasted but that's the point. :D Most of the time though I smoke half of it and then come back for the second half a little while later.

I quit smoking pot when I quit cigs. I always had a cig after I smoked pot, it caused an intense craving for it.

I am just again smoking pot and loving it 20 years later or 2 years ago. I do not get that intense craving for a cig after I get high, but I still have mild cravings for tobacco at random moments. Still have to fight it.

Good thread. I've been trying to quit for at least 4 years now, and I think I've finally done it! It's been about 2 weeks, but I already feel the cravings getting a bit weaker with my ganja substitute.

Hard to say why tobacco is legal while healthy cannabis is still illegal.

Not for outlawing tobacco though. Those electronic cigarettes make your teeth hurt and nicotine substitutes should not be used for long.

It's a real physical and psychological addiction that I continue to struggle with. I stay away from the cigarettes but I have been puffing on some cigars. Damn.

I am glad you started this thread bra.... I used Zyban and lots of cannabis. It's hard for the first 3 days so I ate cannabis and fell asleep for a good part of the 3 dayz and after that I was all good and have not picked up a smoke for 10 years. I made oils all kinds of them and went to town . This is one of the best things I ever did for myself .. Stay frosty headband 707

Pushed through the 3 week barrier today, feel so much better. no more cravings for the most part, unless I'm stressing. Looks like the hard part is behind me...

Thank you for starting this thread (nine years ago!). I loved smoking before the health consequences became apparent. But as soon as I noticed I had the wind and endurance of an asthmatic baby in a marathon, that I would run out of breath just by getting angry, that I was starting to have circulation issues, and then the chest pains showed up I knew I had to quit no matter how much I enjoyed them. I've gotten back into working out again since I quit, and I can only hope I can help counter some of the consequences of what I did to myself as a smoker.

Not for outlawing tobacco though. Those electronic cigarettes make your teeth hurt and nicotine substitutes should not be used for long.

I quit a 20 year, 2-2.5 pack a day habit on accident with electronic cigarettes, and I've known many people with similar stories. I can't say enough good about them and how easy they can make it to stop smoking or quit nicotine all together if you really want to quit. Some people keep using the e-cigs while they drop their nicotine levels, others keep using the same strength that allowed them to quit, but in all cases they're avoiding the carbon, the tars, and the TSA's (tobacco-specific nitrosamines) that are the biggest health dangers behind smoking tobacco. Nicotine may not be the healthiest thing in the world, but I don't think it gets better than the combination of healthy and effective that e-cigs provide.

My teeth never hurt either. Sometimes the teeth of long-term smokers can hurt for a few days, there may even be blood on their toothbrushes, but thats usually from there just being more blood in your mouth than their has been in a while. You may even notice your gum line getting lower as it gets healthier in just the first few days. Those are usually good signs, though, it means your mouth is healing. Maybe you were sensitive to the base liquid (most likely propylene glycol, if you're not that familiar)? In any event, they're still undoubtedly healthier than the cigars you're reaching for, and they can work really well if you know what to look for. They can take a little bit to learn how to use all the options for the best effect, and there are thousands of different flavors available at this point. As much as I loved smoking I can't even be around burning tobacco these days. It just smells far too bad.

If anyone has any questions about e-cigs, I'll help any way I can. I've been around them for a few years and I've seen them help countless people, and I'm always happy to see others want to quit.

I recently smoked a blunt rolled in a Juicy Grapes Gone Wild wrap... It was among the most disgusting things ever. But since I had like 3 grams of Haze in there I wasn't gonna ditch it, kept on puffing. Haven't been able to stand any tobacco products since then, good thing too had been on a bit of a cigarette binge before that.

Good luck to any of you trying to kick the habit.

try carrying a sack of assorted hard candies, lemon heads, root beer barrels, peppermints, jaw breakers (don't bust your teeth), maybe some salt water taffy. you might pick up a couple of pounds but it's not a good idea if you're borderline diabetic.

e-cigs? idk, there's good & bad in them, definitely a 'your mileage may vary' situation when it comes to you metering your own use of nicotine.

I've quit other bad shit but never smoke cigs, good luck again.......

I have survived twenty years now since my emergency quad bypass at age 39.

You know I was a trucker, owner-operator and among many other things I hauled swinging beef. When a young trucker and later as a paramedic I smoked cigs like a chimney stack.

It was stress and lifestyle for certain but also a family propensity for high cholesterol.

I quit for twelve years but eventually I would have a few when drinking and playing pool at the bar. I have quit so many times. I never faulted anyone who tried and failed.

You have to realize that sixteen years working in the same hospital as a paramedic and mental health tech taught me all the reasons why I got sick. When I got sick it was sudden and I was riding in my ambulance. It happened one morning when I arrived at work on the hospital psych unit.

I had smoked a couple and rushed up to our nurses station which was quite warm and stuffy. I realized that I had sub eternal chest pain radiating to both wrists!

Why am I telling you? Because you are my friends. I don't want this to happen to you.

I told a co worker to get me a wheel chair and take me to emergency...

I explained briefly to my RN co worker exactly what I was feeling. They were in shock.

The man was going down...down the tubes as we called it when I worked codes in the ER.

But I didn't die and thhe next morning they shipped me to the heart factory we were affiliated with. I was fixed but I didn't really deserve it. My sweet wife did though.

You can't be so irresponsible. I am weak and still I live but don't count on it. You love your family and your desires are weakness just like mine.

There are many ways you can serve the higher law. Hold your swords of goodness up high and be proud of yourselves. Family duty and our obligations to others is the reason why our bodies are not for us to abuse.

Aren't you more important to your loved ones that anything? How can you be so...

I am sorry to place my own guilt on anyone else but maybe you need a push.

If sending you some seeds would make a difference then let me know brother or sister because your life is something I would like to help save. We all die but when?

Back to me. I am 59 now and I doubt that I will make it a whole lot longer. Learn from the mistakes of others.

I feel pretty good, a lot better than when I smoked cigarettes but cigars are bad for sure. I got sick of quitting and a few puffs at a time usually works on my head. It's not true that cigar smokers don't inhale. My dad told me he inhaled anything he ever smoked before he quit.

Just know that I am no better than anyone.

Yeah good fred! Hence my accent, I spent a lot of time in Europe and that’s where I was introduced to THC. Everybody I know/knew, mixed the joints with tobacco. The place where I stayed, there was not a lot of bud available but shitloads of Hash. And the good stuff too. There was no way we would put plain hash in the bong and hit it. And joints, it was only “natural” to mix with tobacco
Now, +-18 years later every time I smoke a cig, my brain is waiting to get high. So I smoke another cig and another and another etc.
Every time I smoke “pure” like oil or so, my brain tells me something is missing and it just doesn’t feel right. I am missing some sort of toxic kick.
The most difficult thing for me is “re-learning” how to get high without tobacco. Man it feels strange... to say the least.
Thanks to these e-cigs I can now somehow- finally- unwind this fucked up perception I have that I need both, THC and tobacco to get an enjoyable high.
I don’t know why, but these e-cigs work for me.
Anyway, THANKS to everyone here who is helping us tobacco-junkies trying to kick the habit with their encouraging and understanding words. I for one really appreciate it!!
And to all my European friends who still smoke like I do, although I really love & miss you guys...
you’re doing it fucking wrong...

Good idea! Good luck...

Ya know maybe the electronic ones aren't so bad for you. It really isn't FDA approved so we don't really know but probably a safer alternative for some of us.
