Anyone know how to go about locking a two door cabinet like these C13s? I picked up a cabinet similar to a C13 with two doors and I'm trying to figure out a way to lock it.

I grow in a basement with low ambient temperatures. I use 400w hps from seedling to end don't vent hood and use 4" vortex with speed control blowing into homemade SIS carbon filter running the fan on low right now. This keeps temperatures around 80f with lights on. Ambient temps are about 72f right now. Although massive air flow can solve heat issues other things will also solve heat issues. Things like limiting ducting , having adequate intake and lowering ambient temperatures. You can't grow in a room with ambient temperatures of 80f. Darkroom vents are great at providing adequate intake. There are many types of "heat" transfer, radient, convection, conduction. Always take air temperature in shade to get true air temp. Infrared or radient heat will throw readings off in light. Its like being hot in the sun on a 70f cloudless day but quite comfortable in the shade.

Phew! $49 and a couple of hours later and I am officially odor free. I finally got around to getting a carbon scrubber fabbed up and installed. If I had only known that it was going to be that easy and cheap I would have done it months ago. It's not normally a problem with these strains, but mid to late flower they start to smell.

Low ambients are a blessing. I am. lucky to have low temps also, my main problem is low humidity. In the winter with the heat going it gets as low as %30. Warmer months seem to stay around 50-60.

I apologize in advance for not going through all 20 pages of this thread in order to find the answer but uhm ...

I've been looking online for mills pride cabinets and haven't found anything let alone a model number "c-13" ... If i were to call the depot to ask would i simply say a mills pride model number "c-13" or something else ...

Thanks

The C-13 has been discontinued, from what I have heard. BUT, you should still call around to Home Depot and see if they still have some unsold units; it's possible and you'll never know until you ask. Call every HD within driving distance to find out. Ask for a "Mill's Pride C-13 cabinet/wardrobe/closet".

If they don't have any more C-13's, ask for the C-25 model. It's a little bit smaller, but may be able to suit your purposes.

Hell, you can always build your own cabinet. There are TONS of schematics on this site to fit your needs. Here is one:

Good luck!

I would def build you own they have it all at the depot even the adjustable hinges the c13 comes with. Then you can use any light you want!!! :chin:

I REALLY wanted to do a c13, but when I couldnt find one I said screw it and used an old shipping crate. Cheap and easy. Dropped in a 1000 watt system and carbon dioxide injection. The down side is I cant use it during the summer months, but nine months out of the year I can crank it out pretty good. I can usually pull out more than a pound if I use it for flowering.
Sometimes I use it for veg, sometimes breeding, sometimes cloning also.

Hey c-13 club,

I'm nearly done with a c-25 cabinet here's a picture before I put the doors on - I will be putting mylar on the back btw.

I'm getting a 400 watt HPS for lighting and plan to run (6) 2 gallon DWC buckets in here. The ballast will be in the top area along with the electronics. The lamp will have a simple bat wing style reflector with a fan blowing on it.

This is not my first grow - I have been growing in a millspride u-2 counter height cabinet for a while now (7 harvests) under a 150 HPS and a few floro tubes. Here's a picture of that cabinet.

So I was planning on pulling the 134CFM dayton blower I use in the small cabinet and using it in my new c-25 with the 400 watter. It will be pulling through a 118cfm can carbon filter. It has done an excellent job in the old cabinet and keeps temps around 5 degrees above ambient. Ambient is 68 F as the cabinet is in a room with central AC/heat.

So do you think the 134CFM will be enough air movement for a 400watt lamp in the c-25 or should I get a bigger fan asap?

thanks

SCROG in C13?

SCROG in C13?

Well, I am trying a SCROG in my C13 for the first time, but I don't feel like it's going well.

As you can see below, the plant was 10-12" tall before I put on the SCROG and the plant is now leaning at a 45-degree angle, with only 20-25% of the screen filled.

Should I flip the lights to 12/12?

Should I do something different? I already FIM'ed the plant 10 days ago, but have noticed little change/growth. The plant hasn't grown much, either since then.

Awesome krusty.. a C13 waterfarm scrog. Always wanted to do one...

I think you should drop the screen a few more inches (2-4? ) and start weaving those tips in the screen a little. Or just let it grow more.... and trim any shoots that don't reach the screen on the bottom of the plant. Wait for 50-75% coverage, things go quick in a waterarm.

I personally would flip now and let the stretch fill the screen, but it's really strain dependent. In the old SSCROG technique you flipped when the plant just reached the screen.

anyways - I'm hoping to hear peoples inputs on ventilation for my new c-25 cabinet - I'll be running a 400 HPS in there with the ballast in the top chamber. I'm thinking I'll need something on the order of 250 cfm worth of fan.

thanks

Screw It!

Screw It!

I moved the screen down to onl;y allow for 6" vertical space for the plant. I'm gonna flip to 12/12 tonight. The screen is 60%-70% full, now that the screen is lowered. I estimate 20 bud sites against the screen. I assume more will come into play due to stretch in flower.

The light is 2 feet away from the SCROG.

Any objections to flipping it?

Should I leave the light's distance alone, or should I raise/lower it?
