I like what im seeing with some of these recent C13's here at IC.
1. I like the venting systems im seeing posted,the darkroom vents,etc. That is something I want to study closely,I didnt like the holes in the bottom of my first cab,id like to be able to place the pots anywhere,and not worry about blocking airflow.
2. I like these new Vortex fans,ill prolly go with one of those. Im searching for easier ways to mount/hang the vortex..your thoughts?
3. Im seriously considering a 400hps this time,but I may just get going asap with my old 250,then upgrade...im pretty sure i can handle the extra heat with a 4" vortex.
4. Strains....i was bummed out when i found out BOG was retired,i mostly grew his strains,the Grape Punch was our favorite followed by Lifesaver..
heres a flashback to my first cabinet...my ex-fiance kept growing(4 harvests) for me in the c13 when i was on the road working,i wish i had pics from those.

Tasty morsels!
I cut a hole in the top of my C13 and made a foam donut that my 6" Vortex sits on. I am using a speed control on the lowest setting and temps are great. I guess the only thing to plan out is where to put the hole to allow for use of a vented hood with minimal airflow restrictions.

thanks H.A.,ill check out your cab pics. Im off to look for details on those darkroom vents...Im planning on building the cab at the first of January or so.
EDIT: Arghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!..just found out they no longer make C13's! wtf?
im unable to find one in stock,ill try a few states over and maybe ill get lucky...does Lowes sell millspride?

Well here where everyone is!?! Hey All!!! I also was a OG member. I used the same id. I am runnig a C22 w/ a 400wat MH/HPS and in me 5th grow.

Can come in and play? I've been lurking this thread since I found out about IC and have been hanging out in the 150W HPS Club and the 400W Club since I joined. Here's a pic of my cab as of yesterday morning. and the full shot of the cab is from a few weeks ago when I first fired it up.
It's not a C13 but the same dimensions from IKEA .. model "PAX"
Any Questions or comments are welcome...I love all the work you guys/girls have been doing and I hope to learn from you and help others learn from my mistakes.

HashAssasin Thanks Man!! This club inspired me to build a clean and tidy set-up. There was a day that I dreamed about building a room full of plants and now it seems to make more sense to have a room full of cabinets. Make more sense? I dunno..maybe not more sense but for sure it's cleaner and more controllable of the environment. I'm now dreaming of a second and 3rd cabinet. Today is X-mas day...no family or friends coming over...house to myself and lots of supplies to build another grow area. My x-mas present to myself....ha....gonna go make sawdust.

Well, my 250W C13 is still running and I am just starting year three with it.
I currently have 3 Watty Kush and 3 Blueberry clones in week three of veg using reconditioned BioBizz All-Mix and using their organic nutes as well.

hey hash , great to see your c 13 still runnin good . i had a h-farm 400 ballast crap out at just over a year old(they are sending a new one but its takin a while ) ... i've been runnin mine for aboot 15 mos. all is well except i had to get a new 250 to run instead of the 400 ... quite a temp difff . 10degF on average .... what are biobizz reconditioned nutes ? and what are watty kush .... many blessings , may all be well ....,hidingtree .

I could manage a 10 degree rise in temp except in the summer so I'll have to keep that in mind as I was thinking of upgrading to 400W.
I reconditioned the BioBizz All-Mix which is one of their growing mediums by adding worm castings and pre-mix as per their instructions.
Watty Kush is from a clone I was gifted. Here is a thread with a few more details:

The Flo is going down well. A little longer cure would help smooth out the taste a bit.

Since this will be post #340 of this thread, I hope no will mind if I ask something that may have been covered already. Assuming hidingtree is correct, and switching to a 400w from a 250w increases cab temps. by 10 degrees, is the switch really worth it? What do you really get for the extra 150w, besides the heat?
I'm getting ready to buy a new ballast for my C13. I haven't been on this thread for a while and came looking to see if HashAssassin had made the switch he was talking about a couple of months ago. I see that he hasn't. He has always had beautiful grows, hence the question.
