A lot of language has been changed and is rapidly changing. Go check out the article shadow wood farms just posted from the Sac bee, the read my response to it.

We need to get Hezekiah out of the picture immediately. He was all over the capital smug as a bug talking to press and shaking hands. The sac bee labels him as the voice of the cannabis farmers and everything he said was a complete lie and only further shows his intentions of establishing a coercive monopoly. That dude is so fucked!

copied….interested they capped at 1 acre. also it still says that cities can ban marijuana, but nothing about counties banning personal medical cultivation?

hezekiah looks like he's on steroids…dude is crazy visible considering his freakin farm got raided this summer.

ok nvm it was a crap article. is there a summary/breakdown anywhere on new regulations? heard they won't go into effect for a few years, what happens in the downtime?

Article also said an acre was 20000 square ft. Reporters rarely do any minimal investigating anymore so take what that article says with a grain of salt

"Today the California Senate Appropriations Committee advanced historic medical cannabis regulations with a last-minute twist: nothing was in the bill.

Assembly Bill 266 was gutted and amended to read: “It is the intention of the state legislature to regulate medical marijuana.”

But for the first time, the Governor’s Office weighed in with language of its own that may become the text of a last-minute bill that passes the Senate by September 7, and makes it to Governor Jerry Brown’s desk.

Senate Appropriations voted 5-1 this afternoon to gut, amend, and advance AB 266, according to sources in the capital.

We’ve looked at some of the governor’s draft language, and it mirrors much of existing language in Sacramento calling for a fully functional, albeit highly regulated medical cannabis industry.

Personal and caregiver medical marijuana rights go untouched, but everything else is considered commercial and requires one of about twelve different types of licenses.

Californians would get tested products and organic certifications. Cities could ban pot activity. Licensees would need both local and then state approval for a license.

Farms are capped at one acre, or 20,000 square-feet. Deliveries would be allowed, but only if tied to a physical dispensary. Farmers could process or extract, but can’t retail pot. Retailers could extract or process their own products, but couldn’t own the farm. Transporters would be separately licensed and independent.

The governor’s draft language deletes certain layers of bureaucracy and trims expenses. A General Fund loan would pay for the $20 million program’s startup costs, and would be paid back through licensing and taxes.

Capital watchers report a flurry of meetings to reconcile AB 266 with other medical cannabis regulation bills this legislative session.

Lawmakers are under renewed pressure to craft basic, clear guidelines for the state medical cannabis system, with just 438 days before Californians are likely to return to the polls to vote on adult-use legalization. "

Who ever wrote that article did not read/comprehend anything. The current set says someone with a 10A license could still hold a 2A, 2B, or 2 license

is there a new summary/breakdown somewhere to see all the regulations, heard it had most of the language scrapped and won't go into effect for a few years.

From what I understand all the language was scrapped but Sunfire is the man to ask those questions. Is in play for next season that's my biggest concern

Jist had this discussion on ig, I'll tag you.

In a nut shell all we know now is they are going to take another run at it and probably combine 266 with 243 or 643. Which is what lots of people have been talking ablut for a while.

The old language stated 5 patients but that's about it as far as any definitions in numbers. They probably going to leave it up to the county to and city to define commercial and medical. Takes a lot of responsibility and lawsuit liability off the state and in turn for that they were giving the county and city the fines moneys from the busts.

We handed out lists of demands today to get the "primary caregiver" lanGuage removed as well as all the doctor restrictions bullshit.

They already took out the ban language just before this so idk wtf the governor is gonna do.

KEEP CALLING THE GOVERNOR AND MAKE LOGICAL ARGUEMENTS FOR WHY THIS BILL SUCKS!.

Damn dude they are going to leave it up to the county to decide commercial/ medical. I'm fucking outta here

Lmfao I didn't say that for a fact lol. I jist said my opinion but I don't think anyone truly knows right now.

All i know is I never saw any language that stated canopy size or plant numbers until that. recent article talking about 1 acre or 20k square feet.

It was previously hinted by an aid that ab266 was going to head in a canopy direction. But that was only for the commercial medical and said nothing about personal collectives and no mention of the 5 patients.

Lol just chill dude, focus on your county, start recalling those fucks. It all starts at the local level. Imagine if multiple counties had BOS members that joined together and refused the state legislation similar to how yuba bos is challenging the recent state water mandates. Would be epic! Vote tankerton for BOS!

I assumed the article was implying 1acre for outdoor and a max of 20,000sqft of indoor; although I know it really didn't give enough info either way. but that's how I understood it

recalling Butte BOS is a tall order...those guys are so entrenched and have so much conservative political backing. they took a shot at larry wahl a few years back and failed, and that was when we were flush with $ and had a ton of growers and momentum after defeating previous ordinances and enacting measure B.

vasquez seemed like an easy target, bad reputation + smaller voting area, and its still proving a big task.

Every battle in butte will be like 20 times larger and harder then yuba but you can still do it! Networking and social outreach and education of the people is key! Nailing down a federal appeals case this winter could help a lot. If we can continue to push the senator's and governor and maybe gain some influence through them, we could use that as leverage to lean on the fucked counties.
