its fucking ridiculous…i dont even feel like i live in CA nowadays it feels like texas out here or some shit. they are cracking down on weed hard while letting all the tweakers run rampant in town. seriously depressing news, now we all play the numbers game like back in the days. really sucks that you can catch a felony cultivation charge in a state where they are letting some people grow 1000s of plants and make millions of dollars, and these guys and others are getting busted for some measly tiny greenhouses that probably gross 100k a year.

Where does it say that they were medical and using prop.215? This was probably another illegal grow where no one possessed a valid 215 ID.
The only actual "busts" I read about in Butte are from 1000+ plant grows and people who are NON-Medical and without prop215. The news says they are Oregon residents.. More green rushers fucking up the neighborhood with 300+ plant grows who are non-medical.
Remember, as long as you are under 100 plants and you are medical 215 and NOT selling, they can't arrest you. "Code Officers" cannot arrest because they are not police officers(a.k.a. buttfuckers), they can only enforce an environmental code (fines, fines, fines, court order) which can be beat in court.

their grows were very small, the news article makes it seem like a big bust, but in reality their greenhouses were small. friend mentioned they were only pulling 30-40 lbs out of their entire crop. they were small timers, non violent history, no meth use, etc….

I now enjoy my plant limit being 99 plants, instead of 6.. I made this point many times during my incoherent and beer fueled rants, in between cutting electric guitar arpeggios atop of 7-step scales, I am surprised that you didn't get the point I was trying to make.

how will taking away the revenue source for thousands of people reduce lawlessness? some guy who relies on the 40 plants in his backyard for rent and beer money, now suddenly cant. what so now he's gonna go get a job as a greeter at walmart? in afghanistan, the US forces were instructed to NOT touch the locals opium crops. you take away an entire areas revenue source, only negative things will happen.

If you lobbied for Measure B, you should have doubled or tripled the outdoor space allowed for measure A, halved the indoor to 60sqft (7ft x 8ft), make the "voter approved only" changes stick, eliminate the plant-count limit and I would vote for it. If that scene has 50 10'ers, and they come knocking august 1st, you'd have about 80 days till chop. That's roughly a 80k fine sliding off a million dollar crop. Any real business man or woman takes this as an acceptable loss, without question.

psi is impossible to talk to….hes claiming that under measure B he was facing arrest for growing over 6 plants which is ridiculous, nobody in this county was getting harassed for having under 50 even on smaller acreage plots that technically was out of compliance. my friends were lving on two small 1 acre properties and both had 50 plants in their backyard…compliance check came by just to verify the properties were separate and they left them alone.
so he is happy trading the entire economic lifeblood of this county, and dozens of growers getting busted, so that he can run 99 plants in a 4 light grow room. which is ridiculous because its damn near impossible to fit 99 plants into a 150ft sq ft you would be crowded your space way too much and not get good representation.
a real genetic pheno hunter would rather pop seeds and grow a 5 lb plant to get a good idea of overall vigor, stretch, ability to weather a full season etc…..

anyways back to topic, there is word that there is a lawsuit and a possible re-vote down the line, just what i heard from local garden shop but havent seen any concrete evidence.
also, gathering various info on the latest bust and what not. the oregon guys were only busted and arrested because they had over 100 plants, and also the snitch who dropped a dime on them is a local well known old whore of a bitch, who is spreading false rumors on that ridge about those guys. she has had it out for them since before measure B, she was telling lots of other neighbors that they were smoking meth, cooking meth, and even engaging in sodomy lol. so basically she has been harassing code enforcement non stop about this guys. hopefully they get a decent lawyer and get the charges all dropped, wonder what the motion of discovery says.
so basically it comes down to a few things. stay under 99, keep your greenhouses closed and have zero visible cannabis plants anywhere on the property. dont answer the gate, dont answer code enforcement, they are not allowed to trespass and need to attempt 3 times to contact property owner. keep all illegal shit off the grow site, no hash oil, no butane, no guns, no packs, in the rare case a search warrant is served and you have under 99 plants it should stay in the realm of "out of compliance"…

Byf I never mentioned expenses. And yea dudes in some parts are still getting over 2 on bulk high grade packs. Sure its not common, but even if your low at 1500, even with expenses ect should still be able to net 500k even after the extortion..errrr.. I mean 80 days of civil fines.

BTW, regarding the link about the out-of-stater's from Oregon getting busted.. They were not even medical and just 2 assholes growing 600 plants of herb.. The code officers had to be called because growing pot for personal (Prop 215 medical) use is not a crime in Butte County. If you violate the local Code, you are in simple violation of an environmental code, its not a criminal code unless you lack a current and valid 215 or you are growing more than 99 plants. I read about busts where someone is growing a 1000 plants and such.. no news..

Excuses don't make more excuses.. If they wanted to do a better job, they should have created a better plan than measure B. The ball was in their court and they fucked us with 6 plants... THEY had the option to do something better and different and fucking boned it.. Maybe this is a learning lesson.
