Butte County

Be on alert today people! If they aren't already, lock all gates, just saw CE around 8:30 heading up Forbestown about 25 cars deep. Some were sheriff and some were forest service but at least 15 of the cars/trucks had the CE logo. WTF happened to 500k and six officers? They got the hole county up here today!

god damn are you serious?? that sounds insane they must be doing some big saturation patrol…gotta check the logs to see what happens.

forest service has been known to get involved in that area as well.

what a pathetic waste of money. this county gets worse and worse everyday.

Real shit, only left the mt to drop my dog at the vet and didn't even want to come back home. Im still amazed how this happened so quick, depending on how this season works out Im gonna be leavin this county and be sure to do more research before choosing my next place.

I think they are just using google earth and knockin us out one at a time. Huge list to work from Im sure but it looks like they are serious about getting it done. Maybe two or three seasons to hit everyone at this rate? Seems like real shitty odds for us.

yea they want to reach out and touch everybody at least once, but my real question is, what is the likelihood of a 2nd visit? according to their flowchart, once a property has been abated or deemed no nuisance, the case is closed and listed as inactive. there is nothing in the flow chart that says "recheck inactive property 2 months later" etc….

code enforcement is hitting all counties, not just butte. i just heard from a friend in Trinity who was hit earlier this year for his hoop houses being unpermitted, in the douglass city area. i also heard from another person in calaveras who was visited by code enforcement there for same reason. but obviously not with the same rate as Butte.

they seem real eager to walk into a confrontation and more ammo for a lawsuit.

The Emerald triangle started getting hit hard 2 years ago. I've heard all sorts of crazy stories from that area but since I don't live there myself, they are at this point only rumor.

I'm telling you guys, theres a bigger statewide picture being painted here. I think the counties with the largest production were targeted first and now they're setting their sights on other counties. It appears to me it's also dependent on the corruption of the local poloticians, and how much resistance the people offer. Both of those statements are evidence of what's happening in Placer county and yuba county.

All just my speculation but if I'm wrong than what a crazy chain of coincidences. 12 different state and assembly bills involving marijuana, over 50 state initiatives have been filed. On the state level this is the hottest topic in california history.

nice find tanker ton, thanks for taking the charge and digging up these stats. my investigative journalist has delayed on me a bit, but jeff says they have another one out of the east coast. i really wish my field prep would calm the fuck down so that i can sit down with y'all and try to hammer out some progress. i have a few outlines written up, basically alot of research and then assemble an argument to bring to the BOS or media or whoever listens.

I've been wanting to start on my newspaper editorial propaganda campaign, i have a few arguments outlined that i need to finalize and present. they will be good haha.

does anybody know when the next BOS measure A update is? we need to show up in force and condemn them, and let the BOS know face to face what is going on out in the foothills with the property violations.

also WHO THE FUCK is running the "SAVE BUTTE GROWERS" thread on Facebook. they are so damn sloppy and uninformative, and they won't add any new members so its basically a bunch of people from the previous movement still hanging on. we need to start a new Facebook page similar to YPC and sun grown shasta to help organize butte better. or if someone knows SBG can they hit them up asap and get someone to run it better?

^ exactly, the manufacturing of complaints by CE/BCSO themselves is probably the worst part about it, the most blatant. you have a county motivated to collect fines/permit money, sending out cops to manufacture complaints so that they can then send in cops on shaky probable cause to generate those fines. its conspiracy on the countys part.

anyways, has anyone thought about sending letters to the addresses in the measure A checks on butte county public logs to see if they want to join the fight. probably the easiest way to reach out to people and get them involved.

checks for 6/8 monday, seems like on a regular day they check a dozen properties
4 checks in downtown oroville at residential properties in town
2 checks on shady oak dr, oroville
Forbestown rd @ Hardrock oroville
Stony Oak Loop @ stony oak blvd oroville
Bangor Park Rd, bangor
Sunny Hills rd, bangor
2 checks on Pleasant Grove Ln, Bangor

i thought this call was very interesting….seems code enforcement is too busy going after marijuana to deal with open sales of meth!
"RP REQ 10-21, ADVISES SHE HAS BEEN WORKING WITH CODE
ENFORCEMENT TO ADDRESS ISSUES ABOUT NEIGHBORING DUPLEX WHERE THERE ARE ONGOING ISSUES WITH TRASH AND NOW ELECTRICITY HAS BEEN TURNED OFF BUT PEOPLE ARE STILL LIVING IN THE HOUSE. RP FEELS CODE ENFORCEMENT IS TOO OVERWHELMED WITH OTHER PRIORITIES TO BE OF MUCH ASSISTANCE. RP'S MAJOR CONCERN IS THAT NEIGHBORS ARE SELLING & SMOKING H&S, PEOPLE ARE IN AND OUT ALL DAY AND NIGHT"

just got an interesting voicemail from lawyer. he has been inquiring about the search warrant affidavit.

apparently the county is backlogged tremendously. the county is treating the inspection warrants EXACTLY like a criminal search warrant!! they are filing and processing in the exact same manner, and because its being handled in a criminal matter its taking longer and cannot be made public record until it goes through this process.

its been almost 3 weeks and they still havent come up with the affidavit, which i NEED asap because i know i will find holes in their probable cause.

^the new angle definately has to fall in line with the rising militarization of police forces and how butte is ground zero for that. its a hot topic in the country right now with all the excessive police abuse, and the 4th amendment is very popular now with all the recent court cases beating back the NSA and strengthening lots of personal rights against DEA (cell phone warrant, search dog delay, requirement of proof to insure not medical marijuana, etc)
