thank you very much for the info. i was all set to order, then i read all this. just want to make sure i get JUNK

I talked to ecogreen, they will be sending me a replacement iso tane because they are out of stock on ntane. They admitted their pane was dirty and How I may have gotten it, and is taking care of me. I'm trusting the iso will be okay considering what I saw on here on the ntane. I'm pretty satisfied how they took care of my situation.

Once again, is he supposed to have a bunch of baggies sitting on on his desk and say to customers, this how clean it is, and hold them up?

You want him to Crack a bunch of tanks to test which then could not be sold, especially not shipped out?

Either don't buy from him, or do. This topic is getting extremely old. Anyone who has read these threads and seen my words and pics, will see that the ntane is very clean. Only one tank ever had any odor. I know multiple people off forum using it and no one has ever complained about the straight ntane.

Stay clear of the pane and blend for a while, or just don't buy from them. Myself personally I'm never going back to tapping cans. I rather pay twice what ecogreen charges from a gas supplier in citrus heights that I can get tanks from.

No, but having a bunch of test bags and notes does kinda indicate you did the tests... ;-))

1.25 watt per square inch Briskheat silicone heater dimmed with a lamp dimmer so the exposed to ambient areas of the mat max at about 170F. You burn the mat out, you're very likely toast! The blue work mat is a grounded, three layer, ESD, anti-static mat.

That AMW Gemni 20x.001 scale is awesome for home hobbyist.

I got 3 for 22$ each off amazon prime with free shipping. Cant do better then that.

They knowingly sold you a contaminated solvent at the end of March. I made mention of their bad product in December or early January.

I am in no way satisfied with EcoGarbage and have organized an LLC to compete with them.

Sean avoids the forums, I will not.

Excellent, way to go Hydrosun! Its too much of a wild west in the concentrate industry right now. Good old Competition, quality products and quality support is what this industry needs. With more successful products available and more stand up companies taking the lead, hopefully it will set the stage and the industry will grow and prosper and will in turn support those who support us and let the others fall by the wayside. We should not allow rhetorical appeals to cloud moral clarity.

Anyone try Puff butane ? Shop tried to sell me some. He says it is good, made in England version is better than the US version according to him.

I just ordered a case each of the US and English versions. Thanks! :tiphat:

The retailer of the Puff is either not with it, or is a con, on top of the $26 to ship the two cases ($93 total,) they called this morning to tell me there would be an exorbitant extra Hazmat fee, and suggested I buy multiple cases to spread it out. Too much... I told him who I was, and the intended purpose, and couldn't we work something out, as I only need a can of each for testing anyway, no give... period. I cancelled the order. Jerks don't even have encrypted checkout either...

These guys,

If anyone can get me a can of each, pm me.

Hydrosun, thanks, takes balls. :tiphat:

December it was. I agree but I believe he is doing so just to get rid of it. What would you do if you were sitting on over 150 tanks of bad gas?
I was satisfied with what they did to fix it, Sean could have screwed me over for sure, Leaving me stranded with bad gas. But that wasn't the case. I am not sold on ecogreen. I purchased from them because I saw a banner for a discount on terpp's website.
I am looking forward to your LLC coming out Hydrosun! I have been working on my 50 post so I can private message.

Just go to some other threads, and make snarky comments "oh good idea" hehehe that's funny" "you guys are silly" and so on.

Ok I'm glad your cool with me throwing you out there hydro, wasn't sure if you'd appreciate that or not but I figure if your getting a banner, you shouldn't mind me blabbing about you.

Yeah the tainted pane was from way back. I'm glad you got taken care of. 30 or 50# tank.? Iso is like 11 degrees lower boiling point I think? Will take slightly longer to recover, have slightly higher pressures, slightly better color of product and slightly less yield.

Anyone ever try a ntane, isotane, propane blend? Mix it up!

Sky,
Here is the email from Puff I received today. I asked how well they refine...

This is a misleading question due to the fact that, in short, most of the marketing claims regarding "refinements" are baseless and meaningless. It’s kind of like the wild west of marketing - there are so many new products out there, all of them one-upping each other in language and claims, when none are factually substantial. To make it more complicated, consumers actually think this means something and purchase accordingly.
In summary, butane sourced in Asia is of the lowest quality with the highest levels of impurities on the market. It is of such low quality that when used in lighters or similar applications it must be cleaned, or "refined", in order to be usable. To boast about a high number of refinements is actually an admission of low quality, since even product "refined" several times is still of significantly lower quality than an inherently pure product. Both Puff US and UK butane are inherently pure to the point where they need no "refinement". Both formulas contain less than 30 parts per million of non-volatile impurities, which is the only true measure of quality for these products. Comparatively, lab tests have shown Asian formulas contain several hundred parts per million.
We have taken an educational approach to our own product, focusing on levels of impurities versus number of refinements.
Puff UK and USA Butanes are 99.9% pure.

Do me a huge favor, email them back, and ask them to send me sample cans. Have them contact me direct, they have my ID as I had to make an account with password to check out. And that's another thing, you can't find out the shipping cost until the very last page of checkout, one of the worst mouse traps I've run into...

Thanks, Instagram gets me lost, I've been staying away.

Rump's running with it, and I see Paper Planes was interested... all without a word as to actual quality? If someone would care to dig, and confirm that, I'd appreciate it, like I said, Instagram makes my head swim.

Here's what I did see upfront, notice no mention of non-volatile residue at all...

Once again, I don't believe the factories look for the MO, or even if they are aware of it they can't find a lab set up to test for it. Truth is, none of you know if this stuff is any better than EcoGreen's.

If someone's got some in SoCal I'll drive over and test it. Let me at least determine if it's as pure as canned butane if guys are going to be open blasting with it.

also can we get SS fittings on the tanks?

This obviously isn't my place to say anything, but if they are being shipped I'm sure the best route is single use disposable refrigerant tanks. They won't be recovery tanks, I doubt ss fittings will be available won't even matter because they will most likely be the disposable ones like ecogreen sells.

thanks i was just wondering. looking at all the tanks none seems to offer ss y valve. i am new to CLS and all the talk about brass fittings in the system just had me wondering if this is an option.

They sell it in the local tobacco chain fir 39.99 case of 12....I will try to email them for you. Or it might be easier to run up to the tobacco store. They sell Lucienne for the same price....
