So I'm gonna start to flush on Thursday, Oct 11th for the Sour Diesel. The flush for the two other plants will begin on Saturday, Oct 6th.

Harvest will occur 10 days after flushing begins. I'll probably give them one or two more full strength feedings before flushing, things are looking really good. I'll get some pictures for the next update.

MHM Freebie Harvest: Tuesday, Oct. 16th
Sour Diesel Harvest: Sunday, Oct. 21st

MHM Freebie 30 Day Cure: Tuesday, Nov. 20th
Sour Diesel 30 Day Cure: Sunday, Nov. 25th

Day 44

Here's some more pictures, these are a little past how much I usually let them dry out. I'm giving them a watering before I go to sleep tonight, they're starting to drink a bit quicker now.

Sorry forgot to get a closeup of this one.

Looking very sweet bounty! The diesel looks great. Next time I'm sure you'll spread them all out like that, eh?

Those ought to yield nicely by the time they're done! I couldn't do what you do...Doing it in the water just felt better to me than doing it in the dirt, lol! :muahaha:

Bignugget - Gotta love the pink towel :rasta:

S2D - Yeah, I'm really pleased with how the diesel grew. I accidentally topped the day they went into flower, and all the sideshoots grew up evenly and it looks like it worked out for the better. They don't look like they've put much weight on in the past 10 days or so, but I'm sure they'll pack on the weight in the next month.

I've wanted to do hydro since I first planned on growing, but I couldn't get an EC meter so I just went in dirt. The first grow went alright, then I got an EC meter and had a bunch of dirt leftover so I was just using it up. I'm probably just going to throw it in the garden after this run, or maybe save it for the mother cabinet when I get it set up. Since using the EC and PH meter for my mixes, the plants have been a lot healthier. I really like knowing exactly what I'm giving to my plants.

I'm hoping to do one or two plants in a little DIY ebb'n'flow in the cabinet after this run is over. Give them a few months of veg so I can get a nice solid canopy. I think it'll probably be a combination of LST and topping. It's either going to be Deep Chunk or Blockhead. I'm leaning toward blockhead at the moment, but I haven't made up my mind yet. Any opinions?

Well, you've got the dirt thing down man. Water is a little more of a pain due to temps, but you've got an understanding of the plants and what to expect. Should be fun....LST is what got me started. I would just grow bushes and tuck fan leaves training here and there. Then, instead of a screen I'd tie them up with string and just let it rock. It's always all about the number of colas you can get evened out under the lights. That's where the yield kicks in bigtime! :smoke:

I really like how this one grew. I topped it as soon as you possibly could, then trained the two main stems to go opposite from each other horizontally, and then when they got past the edges of the pot, I topped them once more. This stalled the tops long enough for every single side shoot to catch up, and that's when I cut it completely up for clones. If I had vegged this another week and then flowered I think this would've turned out fantastic. I'd really like to try this same technique again.

That's it man....that one looks perfect. That's all there is to it. Heck, just start tying it over sideways once you have 4-5 nodes and watch the side shoots come up. If a few here and there get too tall, just tie em over again. Topping works good too, but just slows down overall growth a little each time you do it. At most I might top once or twice for a whole grow. You'll have large colas all over the place before you know it! Good luck man!

The one thing I'm not sure about, is since I want to do ebb'n'flow and the plants will just be sitting in 6" netpots in a tub, how will I be able to bend the stems and stuff without tipping the netpot over?

Good idea. I was going to get some of this stuff...

I was thinking I could put a couple layers on the bottom of whatever tub I use and then use some of the garden twist tie things and secure the netpots onto them. Good call rkrone :joint:

Bignugget - http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40582
I'm going to have to use a different tub though, that one is too big for my cabinet. I'm sure I'll find a Rubbermaid or Sterlite tub that will fit nicely in the cabinet.

mrgrowmez - Thanks for stopping by! It's good to hear other people say they look good, I've been getting a little worried lately because it doesn't look like I'm going to yield very much. I wasn't expecting a whole lot but obviously I'd like enough to last til my next harvest. There's about a month of growth left, so they should pack on the weight.

They're looking good! I'm getting a bit antsy, but they're nearing the end. I'll get some new pictures up tonight, I'm curious to see some side by side pics myself.

Hi bounty haven't been here for awhile, I like your budding plants.

The one plant you are vegging that you trained into a Y, is it the light or do some of those leaves have faded edges? That could be a zinc deficiency coming on.

Take care.

HeadyPete - That was a picture from my last grow, I think it was a mag deficiency. I ended up fixing it, but I chopped that plant up. I might do the same type of training on my next grow.

Sorry about the lack of updates, I've been a bum lately. I've got all night to myself, so I should be able to get some pictures sometime. Today is the end of week 9, it's been 63 days. I'm gonna let them go 7 more days, and then give them a 10 day flush, and cut them all at 80 days.

The Sour D is really fading, all the leaves except the ones closest to buds are really yellow. I upped the nutes but it didn't seem to help. I don't think it's too big of a deal because it just happened within the last couple weeks, and they're getting flushed soon anyways. It doesn't look like there's many trichs on it, but I'm sure it'll still put me on my ass. :joint:

The two freebie plants are still green, and they're very frosty. One of them I can barely see through the trichs to the bud in some parts. I'll try and get some good macros tonight.

Hey man.Are you sure the yellowing isn't just the signal that it's getting ready to finish? Most of the plants I grow do that.
Peace
