at 1 oz at a time, anywhere from $2.75 g to say $5-$6 g
on special deals offered on various sites 35%-40% off

i go shopping online for the best weekly deals
choose an oz or two, and buy.....poof in my mailbox

i make resin oil out almost all of it....i pinch an 1/8th
smoke it as flower to take note of flavor and properties
then the rest it gets made into resin oil...

i feel sorry for those suckered into the scheme
of "oh you have to buy from gov., its the only legal dispensary"

GreatOutdoors - your far from hurting my feelings, i left them at the door before i entered this site. I was merely asking if a picture could be included since the "ontario brown swag" was a pretty vague description of it either being government grown or black market if i do say so my self.... And i could care less if it was from any of the provinces or from some illict grow. I grow my own medicine and have been for years. I don't remember the last time i've had to pay for weed.... conditions are pretty epic so far this year but it is getting cold early so who knows...

took me a hella long time to finish up prepping a second plot and getting my females from seed planted in.

it's about half the size of my other plot and will be banging some monsters next year I hope.
got 5 more to plug hopefully tonight and I'll be done planting for the year and about ready to harvest...

It's pretty obvious from my original post that I was discussing with someone from Cali the state of legal weed here.
Did I say that is my source? Why would I buy my weed on the internet when I have always grown my own?
And I don't want to come here to get political. We all now know you hate Trudeau but would you rather weed was still illegal? Legalization was a huge step. You expect it to be perfect from the get go? It's all baby steps. The first hurdle has been crossed and things will only improve with time.

I can’t complain, it’s nice having the option . Dispensaries here are packed all the time , and sell loads of herb. Owners got s500 / king ranch f350s out front.

Retail weed brings in $$$$$, but I’ll pass on ever going legal . They pay lots of tax too, which drives up price. My buddy that did in mendo has spent a fortune , and is hoping it will Pay off. The idea that helicopters or armored trucks don’t come and raid your garden is what drove him to it.

I strictly grow for myself. That's the only way to get the varieties, quality and knowing it's truly organic. No sprays even neem ever touch my plants. Even all my soil materials are sourced locally for free other than a load of compost I buy each year. Composting at home doesn't work so well with all the bears we have around.
Black market weed here is all about the kush type strains. I'm a sativa cerebral guy all the way. That and I have always preferred sun grown weed. Indoor may look pretty but the taste isn't there. Put simply an indoor hydro tomato would look pretty damn good but we all know what it would taste like.
When legalization first hit I was keen to see what was offered as they have a decent variety of strains but like I said it's pretty industrial at best.
I think you guys have a lot simpler system though for the average laymen to enter the legal scene. Here it's going to cost in the millions to get permitted so all the small players are out and big corps are in.
I do wish they would let us grow more than 4 plants though because like I said I love variety. Hopefully that will change sometime soon.

Then got the last spot in the 30 gallon pots. And sort of took off.

Started out Big. The first of the 2 daughters of Jack to show pistils. So she got the spot in "The Pit" which I thought was good treatment, at the time.

She's doing all right but not as good as the little sister that out-grew her.


Mother is 2Cookie, Candyland x some other Cookie cross, from GDP seeds.

Well those are certainly some fine looking sativa's.
I could never grow pure sativa's at my latitude, has to be some kind of hybrid. I lean sativa as hard as I can though.

When does it finnish for you?
I can get away with frost until mid November but come mid October it's generally pretty wet and the sun just doesn't have enough juice anymore. I have cut down strains mid November though but it's far from ideal. Has to be a very mold resistant strain.

I'm expecting Killer A5 Haze to be done mid November,Zamaldelica sometime in October.Lost 5 plants in a recent storm

To kick it off, here are Moon phase calendars for 2020 if you believe in planting near or on a full moon. I'll roll the dice with some on May 8th (didn't work out for me last year), but May 22nd (New Moon) is my target. I'll be putting out late starts until July 1st.

Last year, along with the regular Peat Pots, I experimented with Regular Jiffy-7 Peat Pellets. I germinated the seeds, put them in the pellets, and 3-4 weeks later I dropped them in holes 6 inches deep and 6 inches apart. The results? 6 to 12 feet tall.

This year I'm using 50mm Jiffy Peat Pellets exclusively (I'll use up my extra pots for my vegetable garden) because they work very well, will give me a better root mass, transport super easy and I can move more at one time without spilling a drop of soil.
