Hi axle, it is crimson and white dutch clover for a living mulch. It helps the soil hold moisture and helps with temperature which I am sure I will contend with on a deck in a black plastic pot. It is also a nitrogen fixer and will be tilled back into the mix at the end of the crop. Plus I think it just looks nice.

@ Axle

I run crimson clover and hairy vetch which is similar to Bmac1. I believe it makes a big difference on water retention and just overall soil health.

A side note there is a topic on soap base bug deterrent and i have been asked what i use so i figure id throw it in with this post.

Dry amendments

I use Diamatious Earth, nice source of silica, and helps with tearing up the bugs skin (bought from a local co-op for 25$ a HUGE bag)

Insect frass, for its micro and macro nutrients but more so for the abilities to super charge the plants pest defence (trying to source local from a cricket hatchery, since its expensive in local stores)

Wet additives

Neem oil, little pricey but works for several things (pest and mold control) i stop spraying at start of flower then i use teas with EM1

Dish soap as a wetting agent ( id like to be more organic on this one but for the price and the effectiveness i cant beat it)

Big disappointment this morning in the swamp plot, about 2-3 weeks ago a wind storm tore through and ripped half of the bigger mango sapphires in half!!! Had tied it up and was saves so i thought.

This plant is not a clone and was not flowered to find sex but was let go till it showed pre sex, i had original thought i seen pistols but i may have been wrong,

Any how its been killed due to the dreaded ball sacs!! Side note is this trait happen more on hermies or stressed out plants?

The pictures I took kinda stink, but my Boreal Lights are definitely in flower. Funny because I was thinking about adding some PK boost in the last watering. Gotta say they're pretty stealthy plants, the lankiness and coloring fits right in with background weeds, at least before they get huge.

Down to the hideout to water this morning..

Gave 'em all some Potassium and Magnesium by mixing wood ashes and Epsom salts into their water...

Hideout is growing like gangbusters!

and i believe that i have 2 different phenos here
because the branch structure is different on just 1 plant,
and 2 plant the same....if you study bottom half of all 3 plants
you will see a difference with just the 1 plant

This one walked off in the past 24 hours, it was there yesterday, but today its elsewhere. Pics are June 29. It did a little bit better than last year's plant in the same spot.
