Problem, Yes. Pinching tops is one thing, "chopping" off 2-3 feet is quite another. You'll leave open hollow stems, that will "probably" become diseased.

Options in order of my preference are;

#1 Dig large hole, drop your plants down 4 feet. might be a bit of work, but best option.
#2 combination of some pruning, and a lot of training.
#3 Taller fence. Probably more work/expense than digging hole.
#4 security system to deter the night time poachers. Poachers can also come by day, security systems can be beat, and once one person sees them they tell 2 friends, and so on.

Rent mini excavator, be done in no time, reasonable cost. Bonus, won't have to mess with your nice plants.

That's all silly. Yes you can hack your plants in half. I do it all the time. You have to seal it with a tree seal and grafting compound immediately.

The best one is tanglefoot tree wound. Make sure not to get the brush on one. U have to get the putty.

Bigfoot glue had a spot of brown on one of the nodes and a dead branch. The rot or whatever it is appears to be spreading. I may need to cut the brown part out, try and root the top (branches) somehow and tanglefoot tree wound putty.

Built some bracing. Need to find some wire, every HD is sold out locally ?

Btw, I did cut one of them down a good amount yesterday. No holes in stems. We’ll see if I fucked up and they get disease.

These are of the sour apple sour bubble. I has a very strong green apple smell. She's about 12' tall. I've tied it down almost horizontal today. Will get pics once she has recovered.

The chem og is still the winner of the bunch . no premature flowers . and she stinks in a good way even in veg . this chem og is 1 of two seeds that sprouted . cant wait to run her inside .

I foresee a possible chem og x chemberry =(Chem 4 x strawberry dissel ) in the future .

.

Can't imagine why you'd hack plants in half "all the time", maybe to re-veg, but still probably less than all the time.
I should have said "possibly" instead of probably, but I've seen where just some abrasions on lower limbs caused molding that just kept spreading. I have also seen where someone put a "splint" and some tape on a broken branch to heal it, and it was OK. So it can go either way. A nice dry climate no doubt helps too.
As far as silly, everyone got an opinion, Jorge Cervantes wrote "After pruning, the open wound invites diseases and pests."

Hacking / cuti g plants is a bad idea especialy trying to seal wound . there are several examples of this issue on icmag on outdoor threads

The heat or something (over-nuted with Nitrogen ?) did a JOB on some of my plants.

So bought some Foxfarm Ocean Forest, mixed in some sand to dilute it a bit, and put some new plants in that mix.

Also the new plants only get morning sun, to protect them from the afternoon heat that might be causing the problems.

Second pic is an Apollo 11 F3 that somehow survived the heat or ??? that hurt the other plants.

Holy crap, you and your lady are hardcore. I have been in many swamps and would be eaten alive up here if wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
Plants look great.

Peace GG
