So it's already 2 months old and just started flowering . It will probably take 6 to 8 week's to finish flowering you are going to have a good harvest out of that one. I have some Alien X Triangle autos coming and they get quite big for a auto

Yea and its my first attempt at an auto and feel blessed to get a good one that doesnt end up tiny .
It was a prize for a journal of the month, seeds were from Herbies Seeds and definately worth getting again she already has a bit of a stink about her too .

I was surprised when it was coming out same/higher in Veg

Feed is generally acidic, lowering tank pH as you add it.
As the plants remove the acidic feed, the pH increases again.

The direction your pH is heading, is usually the opposite direction to rootzone EC.

pH going up, is a good indication rootzone EC is dropping
pH going down, is a good indication the rootzone EC is increasing, and you are seeing an increased EC in the runoff.

It's important to measure the EC to investigate the cause of the pH movement. It could move for other reasons. Primarily though, it should be feed strength related. We should be chasing this info, as it's accurate enough to be the sole guide to your feeding strength. If that's all you had.


The accepted range seems to be 5.5 - 6.5 these days. Our feeds balanced for 5.8 - 6.0 and outside of this can influence their take-up. This is useful if something becomes deficient, and you want to set your pH preferentially. Though always check the charts for your substrate, as it can be totally the opposite direction, in some substrates.
