Dark Heart Nursery Blackberry Fire clone. If I can keep the Cutworms and rippers off of her I should have plenty of personal medicine. Sorry about the shitty pictures.

Yea are those 30gallon??? I swear I read a thread and some guys were swearing that leaving those container black instead of painting them white didn't really matter. They had got heat/temp readings of everything. I'd have to put a camouflage cover around the container myself. I had some 10gallin smart pots and some 5gallon buckets. The 5gal buckets work alit better.....but I put a plastic garbage bag in one of the smart pots and it did great. Like Crushn was talking about the roots get dry. And that happened on me and it's rained almost daily. My 30-40 gallon smart pots are doing great though.....I think anything under 30 gallon smart pots I'm not messing with anymore. I'll stick to plastic.....I've grew bigger plants in 5 gal bucket than 20gal smart pots.

There are really 2 situations that make smart pots "smart". And by the way, I'd never buy brand name smart pots. I get cheap pots online in bulk from 247 pots. They are way cheaper then any hard pot can be. For anything over 30g or so, you can't get a hard pot that big. They would just take up to much space transporting, and it just wouldn't drain right.

For your outdoor starts that will be transplanted into something bigger, i will not use anything other then fabric pots. I prefer the Velcro 7 gs that are easy to transplant out of. For real big starts, i would get a 15g fabric pot and just cut them with a blade to transplant because They don't make Velcro pots over 7. The 3 gallons and under are pretty useless because the sides dry. Reason i say only fabric is because in hard plastic roots circle. That's death for trying to get a monster outdoor plant. Especially from clone.

Got a couple days of rain coming, and temperatures have really cooled down. Its going to be 50 F in the morning! It may rain later this week too. Looks like tops are going to have to come down tomorrow. Trying not to complain, WV has it pretty tough this year from the sound of it. Hope you get some sun soon my friend! I bet you'll get in on this rain too! :smoke:

My one in the 3 gallon fabric pot does pretty nice, but I set it in a saucer so it doesn't drain completely, its actually doing pretty great, might even crack the ounce per gallon barrier if the nice weather holds out long enough. I keep a good eye on the watering situation and am not handling a lot of plants though, I could see them being a pain if you had to handle oodles of plants in the 3g size. I have this new pet theory in my head which says that the pot plant is a natural inhabitant of riparian zones close to the water table and that they like to be in dryish topsoil with access to watertable moisture from below, thats why I think the 3 gallon fabric with a saucer works out nicely for me. Sorry to brag about our nice weather pipeline, but on the bright side it sounds like you're getting a good idea of which plants you can trust to be tough in bad conditions. Two years ago we had a lot of rain in the fall and I had 3 real BCDs & 2 bagseed Cuvees get pretty much destroyed by botrytis. Now I don't grow them anymore, I kinda learned my lesson, but not really because I crossed the Cuvee with tougher stuff and it didn't have that problem last year, but last year wasn't as rainy, BCD is totally gone I promise.
What I initially came in here to post was that I replaced my dead shitty camera with a new awesome Nikon that I'm still figuring out how to work, but here are the test photos, two Mkobs and the last one is my loud as fuck purple weed lagging behind the Mkob by weeks.

That purple weed is for my wife, purple and the THC are her only criteria, she says its retarded to smoke green weed when purple is available because purps is prettier. Last year her purple stuff was really bland an flavorless grass clipping stuff, but plenty strong THC wise and she loved it, this year it smells like I got something way better. Maybe I'll keep some of the purple stuff for myself this time.

I also want to mention to any etherial spirts reading this that saying nice things about the weather forecast does not jinx me, thats not how it works.

They're 32 gallon. Since I have to move them, I don't fill them all the way up.

I think the best way to answer about root temp is, to go out there on a day when the temps are 100+ F, and simply stick your hand in the edge of the soil, between it and the black plastic.

If it's alarmingly hot, it gives us an idea of how the roots feel.

metsäkana, I can only guess that the flowering window for regular seeds that far north is a pretty short period of time. Are you pulling it off with autoflowers or are those regular photoperiod types you're harvesting?

semi-auto-autos.. i think all the stuff have rud in genepool but some can be vegged and react to rootstress or trigger with like 16-18hours daylights to flower.. midsummer we have like 21hours daylight

Blueberry Headband x Blue Widow cross.

Got about 4 more weeks, though wet weather may make that fourth week dicey.

strains are from my seedmix openpollinated last year

Damn. Can You Tell me more about your genetics and weather conditions?. I know up guys get almost 24 hrs of light in the summer. What about spring and fall? How many months of nice weather do you have? What genetics were your seeds made out of.

When i was in Sweden, i could not sleep because of the long days in the middle of summer. It confused my body. I'm interested in how plants would adapt.

last year we had 19 days of +20c rest was under that.. this year 60 days +20c over but season is now ended only +10c days with sun, nights hitting almost 0 and there is some frost on the grounds.. this year we had record drought farmers losing cheap crops that you cant water without losing money like common wheat.. it grew mini size this year and some drier spots of fields did not grew anything.. i watered what i could 1 time in spring and left them to suffer.. we hardly ever have this kind of droughts but if it gets more common i need to start thinking watering systems

i cant tell much about the last years genetics becouse my boxes was cardboard and they broke up and shit fly all over the fuckin trailer .. they are semi-auto-autos but in lower latitudes i guess they all autoflower.. if you have under 16 hours of daylight in summer..

sweden sucks.. :D
