Yea I could probably rig up some automated watering. It's well water.....but hiding all the lines and things. It's so different in illegal areas guys. Your first thought is how to hide everything to the extreme. We could never have a plant that size and not get caught....a helicopter, neighbors, somebody would spot it, or nosy neighbors would wonder what your doing. These southern neighbors are different kinda nosy lol. I'm gonna be working on some container ers for next yr and maybe gonna try to rig up some type of automated watering. But if this rainy pattern continues next yr I'm gonna need something besides automated watering lol.

Yes I've used smart pots lol, but those container you guys use that are 500' 1000-2000 gal are homeade I assume?? I've just been wondering if they might be plastic lined inside. I've been thinking/noticing that my plants seem to grow better in a plastic container opposed to fabric. That's all, I was just thinking you guys might have plastic lined insides. I've got a smart pot I put a garbage bag inside of that growing very good....better than if I hadn't put a garbage bagn

Do you mean 500ft pot or 500gallons? They sell 1000g pots but most pots i see over 600g are home made. Most people using over 600g per plant are in beds or mounds. No one puts plastic in it. I know what you are talking about with the smaller smart pots not working as well as plastic. It's because the sides dry out. Not such a big deal with the bigger pots.

How do you get your water from point A to B without water lines? Do you haul it in tanks or something? If you could trench a 3/4 poly line that would be cool. Usually I just throw my main line in tall grass and then chop the grass a bit so it covers the line.

My guess is 1/3 to 3/4 lb. Probably a half P and could be up to a P. Counting early chicks is a bad habit and it's very hard to estimate. The last couple weeks make all the difference density is a huge factor.

Chop??

Chop??

Gorilla Cookies/ 60 days flower. Super lemon.

I have incorrectly called this Sierra Cush, should be Sierra OG/ White Fire Alien x Hitman OG....accidently backcrossed. Originally some testers from Holistic Seeds. Very lemony and fast flower.

Yea I'm talking about these big 500 gallon plus size containers/mounds whatever you wanna call them. I've got some 30-40gallon smart pots that works better than the 10gallin smart pots. My 5gallon bucket do better than 10gallon smart pots. It's what your saying about the roots drying out. That's why I wondered if you guys line those big mounds) containers with plastic. But were we can't grow plants that big using that amount of dirt it's just hard for me to understand really how much dirt 500-1000gallon is. My neighbors would be like WTF is he up to trucking in pickup loads of dirt lol.

I water from a well.....and just a regular water hose. My guerilla stuff I gotta carry water about 2 miles up a steep ass MTN. But we've had rains like nobody can imagine this yr. We've had several floods, it's been crazy since April. I've not really had to water anything. Just to fertilizer my plants is really the only time I've really really had to water anything. It's been so wet the plants have never really had a dry out pharse this season. It's alot different growing illegal......I don't think some understand the serious ness....we have to hide everything. I mean hoses and everything, I camouflage containers and use brush to hide plants. It's not like we can setup shop in the yard and grow trees in 1000gallin container around here. Id love to be able to do it, God knows I would. I really respect those who do and can.

Very nice.....Ggggssss I'd wait if mold, rippers or insects wasn't really a concern. I know there's always concern outdoors. But like I've said I like to wait a week or so after I think there finished before I chop them.

Good luck friend keep us posted!!!! I love Kush..... probably one of my top 3 favs:tiphat:

Yea 100% right on the weight packing on when they swell up the last few weeks. But he's got that Cali sunshine beaming on those baby's.....like a billion watt hortilux lol. But it's more less just for fun guessing how much you'll get off a plant. That don't count before they hatch is true 100% of the time too lol:tiphat:

QUOTE=pipeline;8383739]Looks like a great mix! Whats calphos? Whats langbineit? Thanks for sharing![/QUOTE]
They are rock dusts.
Calphos is just calcium phosphate. 50 lb bags are like 20$. Great source of calcium. There it's allot of P in it but takes a lonnnng time to break down and become available. Like years. It's pretty hard to use to much.

Langbeinite is potasium magnesium sulfate in natural rock form the way it's mined. Kind of like Epsom salt and potash combined. It's sold as k-mag or sul-po-mag allot. Its a good source of magnesium and allot of k. Depending on your water source. and k content of your compost the first year in that soil, sometimes it's better to put magnesium sulfate and potassium sulfate separately in the soil.

1/2 a pound for this plant.....

1lb?

2lb?

Any guesses?

4 ft tall. 7 foot diameter.

I hate counting my chickens before they hatch but man its hard to wait LOL:biggrin:

It's super hard to guage how big that plant is. Some strains have a month and a half left. Allot of my stuff isn't even halfway. Good Sun and available nutrients is important. But 7 ft wide could be over 2 lbs. I have had smaller plants hit 2. Could be less then 1 i guess.

Yahooman: what is farmhard? They mail clones or something?

Vwkindbud: if you want automated watering but you have some remote patch without electricity, i have some dirt cheap solar pumping solutions. As long as you have a stream or some sort of water source. Would work well for gorilla growing of that's what you are doing.[/QUOTE

Man I really like those.....there gonna be huge once they swell up I'd say.!!!

St. Phatty very nice plants.....I almost started to use some 30gal garbage cans/plastic just like those. From now on if anything is less than 30gallon I'm be using plastic containers. I don't prefer the smart pots that's 30gallib and under. Like Crusha was saying the roots dry out fast if you don't keep the edges wet

Well my current best guerilla patch is way up in the mtns .....I basically have no choice but carry water to it. But all the rain I've not had to worry about it.

I'm thinking of trying to fix something up to run off my well and water pump......maybe keep a few plants going. I'd like to do maybe 2 very large plants and hide some type of automated watering. It's a few 100yds but it's on a hillside and it's hell trying to carry water into it. These would be plants I could tend daily if needed. But I'd like to eliminate carrying water especially if I do a few 100-250 gallon container s or mounds. I think 250gallon would be pushing the limits of what I could get away with. It may not be fisable but I'm thinking about it. I definitely want to get a few bigger containers going next year. I've got some time to check into things and really see if I could hide things enough to not get questions about what I'm doing.:tiphat:

Thanks !

You can see I'm behind on my garden work. Those black plastic containers should be spray-painted white.

With the black plastic - in the hot sun - the root mass can get un-comfortably hot. Last year I bucket-watered them every 2 hours, on days when we got into the 100's.

Yea are those 30gallon??? I swear I read a thread and some guys were swearing that leaving those container black instead of painting them white didn't really matter. They had got heat/temp readings of everything. I'd have to put a camouflage cover around the container myself. I had some 10gallin smart pots and some 5gallon buckets. The 5gal buckets work alit better.....but I put a plastic garbage bag in one of the smart pots and it did great. Like Crushn was talking about the roots get dry. And that happened on me and it's rained almost daily. My 30-40 gallon smart pots are doing great though.....I think anything under 30 gallon smart pots I'm not messing with anymore. I'll stick to plastic.....I've grew bigger plants in 5 gal bucket than 20gal smart pots.
