I just read through this entire thread for the 2nd time. Im giving this veg+bloom a try. I`ve been running GH flora series for 28 years and I`m trying something new. I started using it last weekend and already showed severe deficiencies early in the week on my 18" veg plants running at 1.2ec. Bumped it up to 1.6ec midweek and theyre starting to look better getting theyre color back. Maybe cause I veg in rockwool cubes I`ve got to run the mix a lil higher than others here. One thing I really like so far is how stable the ph is with this veg+bloom. It barely moves over 4 days. Ive been having crazy PH issues with GH flora the last year seems like since Monsanto took over. One of the reasons Ive decided to switch. I`m kinda excited to try something new and be challenged. I`ll document the grow here whether it turns out good or bad.

Honestly if you see any deficiencies just bump them feeds a little more and they always clear right up.... the ph is dead stable ill set my at 5.6 and it takes 4 days to get to 6.2 a slow and easyly manageable PH drift is nice so the plants pull all the elements out of the V+B and i think i have healthy plants.....

i dropped that idea & went back to DTW coco ....... just couldn't get the rez temps where they needed to be & i wasn't going to invest in a bunch of chillers .

I use the gro flow 2 gallons buckets in flower. Veg in 4" rockwool cubes and transplant into flower room. I live in So Cal and its warm most of the year, I have no chillers and I do ok. Havent had any problems. Been running home built grow and flow systems for years and theyve always rewarded me well. I follow your grows and you always do knock it outta the park with the coco setups so I would never suggest you change anything. Your grows inspired me to try this V+B so keep on rolling with what you got and what works for ya.

I run straight V+B RO/Soft, no additives. 1.3ec. Mix it with my well water which is 7.0ph. This gives me a mix which is around 6.3ph. Within 48hrs it drops to 5.5ph and I have to start adding ph up. I don't consider this stable. No doubt it's the elements in my well water.

I run off of well water myself, had PH problems forever... now i run through 2 large sediment filters and a 5 stage ro machine and i end up at 19 ppm . 5 scale water. less than 0.1 EC and the Ro will sit for hours without moving PH, it takes 4 days to move up to 6.2 ph it's nice and predictable

You pop the rockwool block into the buckets and backfill with hydroton?

Also, how do you keep roots out of the plugs in bottom?

Has anyone here tried reducing the v&b and adding maxi bloom or Maxsea bloom 3-20-20 during flower say 50/50 to cut down on some of the N.

I had the same PH fluctuations you describe above when I was using GH flora series over the last year. I use a 7 stage RO filter and my PPM comes out at 0. I haven't changed the water only the nutes. Using V+B ro/soft adding .75 tsp/gal comes out to 780ppm/1.6ec and 5.8ph. After 4 days it dropped to 5.7ph. I haven't added PH up or down yet using V+B for only 10 days so far. I hope you get it figured out.

All fertilizer shows is a minimum analysis, so any of those npk could be bigger than what's on the label.

So I veg on flood table with GH 3 part and it's perfect. I always have trouble when I throw them into the buckets and switch over to Veg+Bloom. The lowers start to fade to yellow and look like this. I'm at 5.8pH and 1100ppm at week 2. I only use VB and Hydroguard. Is this a calmag issue? I use RO with 0ppm to start.

looks like a calcium def to me . try a stronger feed before you start feeding defs with calmag . theres alot of cal & mag in the soft water formula already if thats what your using .
