I thought that you guys might like to see my latest Purple Crack run. V+B and epsom salts were the only nutrients used except for week 7 with PK 13/14. Blumats, 5-liter air pots, Botanicare aeration mix, and a 315w CMH light source were used. The tent is 32" wide, and there are 4 plants in there. This is at 67 days, I normally take them to 70.

awesome as always brutha !!! :tiphat: glad this stuff works in the blumats for you . you must be using one of the original formulas , hard or soft water , cuz the other formulas leave a sediment in the rez . & i doubt that would play well with the blumats .

I ran "raw bloom" with their line last time and can't lie...
results were spectacular!.
I was getting ready to buy more NKP RAW BLOOM when I found a pound of VEG&BLOOM HD stuck in storage I spaced....
Now, I did do one run with this Veg+Bloom before but put it away because I was having troubles with it that I can't remember now what they Were.
So since many changes have happened since then and now growing in Coco Hempy Buckets,I,ve decided to use this instead of buying more NPK RAW BLOOM.
I was going to get +SIZE to go with the VEG&BLOOM but saw then its P+K with some mag and sulfur.
I have PLENTY of powdered P and Powdered K from my last NPK RAW run, so was thinking of adding that with Epsom salts for the mag and sulfur.instead of +size.
Use K week 2-3-4 of bloom
Use P week 4-5-6 of bloom

Thoughts??

@rives
Why do you add Epsom salts???
Thanks

As Aspen said, I'd try the V+B without additives and see what you get before trying to cure a problem that may not exist or that you might create with the "cure"

I add epsom because my water has virtually no magnesium in it, and even though V+B has quite a bit in it compared to other nutes, it always came up lacking with this strain. I always suggest that you get a water analysis to see exactly what you are starting with, and if you are at all proficient with spreadsheets, use the calculator in my sig line. If you are on a public utility for water, they should have a water analysis available since they are required to do them - sometimes they are even posted on the utility's website. I'm not a good enough grower to figure out all of the different possible deficiencies and their potential manifestations - I want to be able to measure things and repeat what I have done when I find out what works. To hell with a green thumb, give me instrumentation!

Thank you, Aspen! The lamp is the same 315w Philips Elite Agro 3100k that I've been using for a couple of years now in this tent. It just works. I've been wanting to try one of the 4200's for quite some time, but just haven't been motivated enough to pick one up.

Thank you.

I go back and forth between vegging with the CMH or using the VolksLED (see my sig line) depending on how many plants I'm running and how long they are getting vegged. The LED fixture works great and only pulls a shade over 100w, but it has a limited footprint. There is a ton of information about 315's in the linked thread in my sig line.

i've got 2 315's in veg now & they're better than the 600MH i was running . less heat , no ventilation needed , no light meter but they seem brighter . & my veg seems to like them alot more .

Are you using 2-315's to replace 1-600?

no 2 for 2 . i pulled out 2 600's & put in 2 315's .

That's a good trade for sure:biggrin: I've tried both the 3100 and the 4200 in veg. Biggest difference I saw was that the 4200 emits a more "natural" looking light. The 3100 is a little orange-ish...very orange if you use orca. The plants seem to dig either.
