I brought that up in this thread before apparently it's the growers fault for the foxtailing lmao that formula needs to be tweaked imvho their products are good but it's not a one part nute as told cause people have to add cal/mag and do other shit to it. I've been using NPK RAW Grow & Bloom and a couple other one parts on the market now and my nugs don't foxtail like they did with V+B, especially that HD.

I can't speak for flowering with it yet, but I have not had to use any calmag whatsoever.

I follow the exact instructions(albeit a lower dose right now) with the RO/Soft formula

Here's a seedling in coco that's been getting it her whole life. Currently at 1.0EC(500ppm) Flash is a little bright.

Seems to me like replacing SHINE with some of the base nutrient towards the end of flower would have favorable results with less foxtails.

your probably right . but alot of us don't use anything but V&B in flower . you really don't need any of the additives . it does fantastic all by itself !

started using the maxi veg for veg and love the simplicity and overall growth is very nice so far. Great deal on this stuff loving the kiss method although I will be flushing the shit out of them and switching to botanicare pbp line for bloom! Love PBP bloom nutes great yield, speed, taste, and high!

The 1 part powdered maxi veg is the shit so far though!

yeah we've been over this , but , its because of the heavy N content in the V&B because its a 1 part . if you cut the feeds in half the week before you start feeding plain water , your plants won't foxtail as bad . some strains haven't foxtailed at all at the end sense i started doing this .

that should work too , but i like to keep the feed strengths up during that crucial bud swell time of weeks 4 to 6 . thats when most would add a PK boost. so keeping the strength up in that time frame is kind of important to bud swell .

i was running emerald harvest at 1500 ppm last feed ec of 3! and they loved it i just started week 5 and did a lower dose of 1gram epson salt 4 grams ro/soft came to need more food? i might do 1100ppm next feed

Maxigro and my custom hanna AUTO PH doser seems like a win for me over here Dans once I got the auto doser all set up its been easy. The savings alone for me in veg running maxi is worth it. Without the doser your right it does drift alot more than v+b but life sure has been nice saving the v+b for flower. I do still do check ups regularly with my handheld hanna everyday to make sure the doser is working properly guess you could say I just like to double check and make sure technology is working

quick question for the V+B gurus....

sometimes i use the r.o version in veg and the dirty version in flower because i have almost 5 lbs of r.o left and i dont want it to go to waste...i always flower with the dirty version though...im in soil btw,not rockwool or coco....
well tonight i had a little under 5 gallons of r.o mixed up and when i went to go feed flower i accidentally mixed the 5 gallons of r.o in with about 10 gallons of dirty feed ...it was at the usual p.h and EC ... i just was slippin until after i got done feeding flower and i was like well dayum,i hope i didnt just fuck shit up....theyre about 19 days in,and beautiful huge TK x Stardawg bushes...my gut is telling me theyll be fine but i wouldnt mind some feedback from some of you guys,maybe someone else has done this mistake before,or tried it as an experiment??
will they be ok?......

You're going to be fine, the HD formula is basically the dirty and ro mixed with some extras added in. shouldn't hurt a thing.... If you still have concerns simply mix up a fresh batch of the formula you want to use and flush your plants with plenty of runoff maintaining the EC and PH you would normally use.... if you read back in this thread you will see that several people have mixed the two together for some very successful runs.....
