Reducing waterings? Please explain if ya could.

My first guess would be be reducing would rise the salt content in the media spiking ec......which i would think be more likely to foxtail.

Not being argumentitive, just trying to learn

No worries. Try it. I let them get real dry about 7 weeks and find it helps a lot of strains ripen up. I'm feeding half strength at this point so no spiking of EC. This is Rockwool. Dropping temps from 76 to like 68. Oh and the dry down is planned to be driest during the lights off period. Works for me.

Hey Dan at what week do you reduce ec and down to what ec? THX

the week before my 2 weeks of plain water ..... i max out at 1.4 so i cut that in half down to .7 or so ......
on a 10 week strain , beggining of week 8 (day 49 to 56 ) will be my half dose feed then plain water for weeks 9 & 10 (day 56 to 70 ) .....chop on day 70

LostinEthereal ..... in flower i keep the PH up to 6.0 to 6.1 to make the PK more readily available , in veg i keep it around 5.8 to 5.9 ...... with a swing in the PH from the low end to the high end of the PH levels so that all the nutrients are available at some point .
like calcium is available at the low end , where magnesium is available at the high end .

I know a lot of people count their days of flower differently, do you start counting your days after pistils are showing? I start mine from 12/12 so my week 8 is days 49 to 56. I flushed mine for two weeks in coco with V+B then I tried doing it 10 days, found a week of flush was the best, I still got clean smoke and extra weigh to boot. I use Tupur coco and even though I check my pH I never change it the humus in the Tupur buffers everything just right.

I doubt you get any extra weight by only flushing 1 week over 2. Eyeball don't count I wanna see the scientific test. 1 week flush doesn't do much for me because I don't give the plants any liquid for the last 3 days before chop, so it would only be a 4 day flush that way.

Been running V+B for about a year now and never looking back! Super simple, great yields, and great final product. Not the biggest fan of their microbes and still havent tried push but the base and shine are killer

I can handle that if it's only 1 week. I'm in there flushing by hand anyway. THX:tiphat:

Takes 3 days for the coco to go dry. Easy to separate the coco from the rootball to reuse it. I don't know for sure if there is any less water in the plant or not, seems to be. I've done it both ways and it's not like the plant dies or fades more with no water for 3 days. The plant is still alive and kicking after 3 days of no water. They are tough weeds. I was thinking the buds get stickier with no water at the end. But no proof of this, just what it seems to me.
